The blog Q&A is more about pride than artistic integrity.  It's about pride. Lots and lots of pride. Casey Hudson and Mac Walters are so ego-involved in the ending they created they simply will not acknowledge that they failed. They failed as writers, they failed as artists, they failed as stewards of the Mass Effect universe.

Remember, fans, we wield the ultimate weapon--money. They need us--we choose them. If you really want to be heard, loudly and clearly, then don't spend another thin dime on any EA or BioWare game. Don't spend a single dime on any project Casey Hudson and Mac Walters work on. Then you truly will have the final say.

That blog post changed my opinion entirely. I was actually going to wait until tomorrow to give Bioware a chance to explain themselves (as you can see from my previous posts in this thread, if you wish to seek them).

So not only you're not going to change the ending, you're already telling us that any possibilities for a new ending are not planned, you firmly believe in "your" ending (and are proud of your "artistic vision") and you are only  "adding additional cinematics and ending sequences to the already existing ending sequences". So that means that the endings are going to stay the same.

Wow, you just slapped all your fans in the face. You told us you were listening and instead we get this.

Congratulations, Bioware, you have made me loose all faith in your "solution" for the endings.

CYA dlc.Well at least I will have saved 30 bucks on unsubbing SWTOR in March.By summer I will have covered the cost of the CE version.The idea of DA 3 had me interested but after DA 2 and ME 3 I will just pass it up.Oh well DAO was awesome.At least in my opinion.I don't think my drop of water in the sea of profits will be missed.I just can't see supporting them anymore.They have no credibility with me.If it was fine with some folks more power to you.

From what I've gathered, the ending was the artistic vision of Casey Hudson and Mac Walters alone. And, as it appears, at least one of those two might be a complete hack.

I also don't undestand how they can call this "artistic vision" when they so CLEARLY ripped off from other things. From Tali's "face reveal" to the end star picture, to TIM room, even some of the advertising pictures were pure copies of old posters with shep and a reaper photoshopped in.

Your artistic vision for the end of this arc is awful. It renders the journey meaningless. Clarifying does not help.

Understand, if not agree, with the decision of no new endings. I hope though the plot holes will be comprehensively filled in. Thanks for the update - the jury will remain out til summer.

Your core fans are walking out in their droves so unless you pull an ace out at pax tmorro..count myself and my 5 friends as FORMER fans and FORMER customers! Everything gets twisted online and all context is lost. If you open the comments on a blog post like that, there would be about 200 in 5 minutes. The entire episode would just blow up even further. They'd have good reason to say "Screw you then, you can have nothing".

It's getting ridiculous :S

I'm reconsidering my idea of giving DA3 a fair chance. If this is how Bioware treats the complaints about the Endings....
Oh well, guess i have a bit of time to think about it.
Sad end for ME though. RIP
