It's going to have to be a huge amount of downloadable content to make that ending actually make sense - let alone make it fit the actual established lore of its own universe...

would be easier for them to change the ending if you ask me.

I will wait and see what comes of this - but bioware have A LOT of work to do to win back my faith.

Gamble just confirmed on his Twitter as well that they are in the process of organising Meer/Hale VA work. If that's the case then it should be even more than just cut-scenes.

Hmm gona take a look at it since its free but i guess this was the last Bioware Game i bought. Its their right to be proud about the Senseless Stuff they call an End and its mine to not buy their products again.

Yep, uninstalling ME1, 2, and 3 now. This series has officially become unplayable.

No new endings, just a clarification of the existing one.

Damn.

I guess that's it for me and BioWare. Many thanks for the first 99% of the series. It was a marvelous ride up until the final ten minutes, and I'm very sad to see that you've chosen not to deliver the sixteen, wildly divergent endings that the developers hyped in favor of clarifying the current bespoke one.

In short...

Dumb plottwist stays...
Advertising for the endings still BS...
Maybe some Plotholes fixed...

Last Bioware game for me... So long and thanks for all the fish

Apparently Bioware wants all discussion in a single thread since they're locking the others.

Kind of how the wanted all ending discussion in a single thread so they'd "listen" to it.

If you invent brain bleach you might be able to at least enjoy ME1 again!

This summer eh? Lol, dont expect me to buy any garbage DLC until then, and even then, thats assuming this extended ending is even good. I doubt it will be anyway that is.

How can it be good?

-Shepard will be dead anyway!
-Mass Relays will blow up anyway!
-Crew is stranded on Eden-Planet anyway!

**** their artistic ******** vision! Lost my trust in video games a little. Ah, well.... playin some Witcher 2 & Skyrim. Oh and maybe I'll start another round of Planescape Torment! Now THAT is how you introduce a twist!

So I play on PC, so I can't sell my copy, so I'm thinking of burning it, however since this comes out in the summer, when this inevitably fails I might then blow up my copy on the fourth

what is everyone else going to do with their copy?

Huu... Why burn something you bought? You only loose in that case...

because burning it, or exploding it, is more fun than playing it is now

Hopefully now people will start calming down.

Since it's clear they won't be changing this plot point . . .

. . . or this . . .

. . . I doubt I'll be thrilled with whatever they have to offer.

That said, it's better than nothing, and I for one have finally managed to get over my two week bout of nerd rage and have moved on anyway.

Bring on the Enhanced Edition of Witcher 2.  Now CD Projekt Red, they're a class act that listens to fans.

Well...I'm pretty late to the party here. I beat ME3 a couple of weeks ago, and have been lurking here pretty much daily since. I've meant to post, but didn't, but now I feel that I should even though it won't really make a difference. To say the ending was not as expected is the least I can say. I was expecting the widely divergent endings that we had been promised for so long, only to be completely and utterly confused, disappointed, and then angry regarding the "pick A, B, or C" ending we got. All of my friends who are even vaguely interested in video games (and none of who have played any of the ME games) all heard about the terrible endings via media within days. But, plenty of people here have said this sort of thing already, so...eh.

While I'm glad that we finally got an official statement regarding an ending dlc (vs. teasing posts on twitter and lots of beating around the bush PR nonsense,) that blog post is just...arrogant. I get being proud of something you've created, but the tone is just all wrong. That being said, I'm withholding judgement until I see what is actually given to us in the summer. I'll admit that I really like the IT and was hoping that Bioware would go with that...heck, maybe they still will but it really doesn't sound like it from that blog post. I guess it all depends on what sort of clarification we get. If I end up seeing some differences in the "clarification" due to the choices I had made in the earlier games, then I will at least be somewhat satisfied. I didn't really care for the starchild or the glaring plot-holes, but having each tiny variation of the ending be exactly the same regardless of what decisions were made in the earlier games is what really burned. If the ending is still junk, well...I've been a pretty rabid Bioware fan since KOTOR, their games since then have been instant-buys for me, hell the only games I've laid out the extra cash for collector's editions have been DAO, ME2, and ME3. Despite all of that, if the ending is still junk I can't see myself doing any more pre-order/instant buy of Bioware games. "Wait and see" will be my creed.

Oh, and I think I finally understand why EA gets so much hate from gamers now. I never really paid much attention as to why so many people seem to hate EA so much, but this whole fiasco has made it pretty darn clear to me now.

Bioware, you don't work for EA, you work for us. And your client is not satisfied with the work you put out. We didn't get what we paid for, so, regrettably you are fired. EA, after careful due diligence, we have decided to not invest in any of your products going forward. Sports games included.

If you'd like to do future business with us, we'd rather not waste our time until you've settled the account.

Respectfully,
Your fan.

Uninstall Origin : only needed it to get and play ME3. Since I don't plan to replay it again, with all flaws and deceiving LI, plot holes, dark and depressive ambiance, false hopes about choices, etc.

Are you going to "clarify" the false advertising....?

Whats with no humility either? You dont even admit a LITTLE bit that you screwed up big time?

Well, if there is no hint or reunification with shep and his crew...

If the explaination is just "well... **** happen sometimes so why not get the normandy srewed ?", i'm not sure it will make a more satisfyng ending.

But i'll wait and see before making any final judgement.

I think it's pretty impossible to create a brand new ending...or at least it would be very hard to make it(in addition that means MONEY that EA and Bioware don't want to waste)...

At least I hope they will give a sense to the endings we already got...and eventually confirm I.Theory...that could be better than nothing...

This is pretty much all I wanted. More clarity, more cutscenes seeing my war assets at work, and free of charge.
