It seems that the we are beyond BioWare's comprehension. They did not understand one freaking thing from all our effort to tell them that the ending sucks, no matter how much they extend it and try to clarify it. The donation to C'sP, the cupcakes, the great, constructive walls of texts detailing the numerous game-ruining plotholes and possible ways of retcon, the Indoctrination Theory... all for noth... this. Extended Cut with more cutscenes.

Congratulations, BioWare!

Hopefully now people will start calming down.

Of course people will and this will be quietly swept under the rug. :wizard:
I hope the negative reviews keeps coming until this is truly resolved.

Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series added, “We have reprioritized our post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalized for each player.”

That's cute that he thinks that the ending currently has context and clarity.

Anyone else curious what happens when this "expires"? Will they start charging people for it, or what?

Yeah, this isn't going to end well.

But at least it's free?

Free for registered users.
And summer release date so no one can sell their used games until them.

Same EA tricks as always.

ME3 under Bioware would have had at least 6-12 month longer development cycle. Many of the problems today is because the game is rushed.

Summer...two months away. Kinda late to end a game that came out in March 3 months after release. Bioware, you have not redeemed yourself...

The longer they take the better and longer the cinematics are and the more choices they can factor intot he scenes. I would not care if it took 6 months I just want it done right so as to do justice to this story.

Also, I do hope they intend to release other DLC between now and then.......

The proof will be in the pudding, as the saying goes. At least by the summer some more games should be out that I want to play in case this ending still stinks.

Hopefully it explains that Shep was indoctrinated and actually your squad made it to the Citadel and activated the Crucible for you. And then you have a chat with Harby about life, the Universe and everything

Seriously though, I'm pleased we're getting something, but I'm indifferent until I hear more. Also SUMMER?! Months away... :'(

I just squeed. :(

Why :( ?

Because I've been suckered by EA one too many times and because I'm about to get suckered again. :(

So what was the point of bioware asking for feedback if all they are doing is clarifying the ending?

Honestly, I can't help but feel they still haven't been listening.
Correct me if I am wrong, but have people once asked for more cinematics?

It's nice it's free. Great job there, you can't expect people to pay for something that should've been in anyway. But more cinematics? Really? Ugh, well.. Guess we can only wait. But this just sounds like they're completely oblivious.

Let's not whine about it being released in Summer people. Would you rather them release the DLC in April or May and have it be absolutely mediocre work? A release window for summer allows them to put lots of time and effort in to the DLC to ensure it's good. Be patient.

And thanks for the news OP. I can rest a bit easier from now on.

like they did with the game...I was so glad when they delayed it and I found that the game was far better then.....oh...wait...the ending:devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:

They have read our complaints and heard what we have to say.

Somehow I seriously DOUBT they have actually "listened"... Everything they have done since we all discovered the ending just proves they do not understand what it means to listen. Even those of us who are far more articulate, passionate and extremely respectful, have yet to have proof anything discussed has been "listened" to by EA and Bioware.

It's the 'even' that really sells how out of touch this statement is.

So now I get to actually SEE Liara abandoning me at the conduit instead of just imagining it? AWESOME!!!

This.

People, this is not good. At all. This is just clarification. Seeing a galactic dark age scenario is not any better than having to imagine it. In fact, if anything it's worse.

Here's hoping for the best. You have to understand that "changing the ending" totally and saying it aloud publicly now is like bowing down and companies don't like to bow down. F8cking big companies don't like to bow down even more.

So, wait, download and play watch. Might be even better than what you think it is from what they say.

Fixed that for you

I'm not really sure how to feel about this at the moment.

On one hand I feel very cautiously optimistic that hopefully this will finally give some sense and some sort of satisfaction. And it's free.

Yet on the other, I feel that no matter what they extend- those endings/star kid will remain, and Shepard is still doomed to perish without being given that 4th option and not see her blue babies (if they're given in the epilogue) anyway.

I'll wait and see before I start to really build my hopes up; I don't want them crushed yet again.
