So I play on PC, so I can't sell my copy, so I'm thinking of burning it, however since this comes out in the summer, when this inevitably fails I might then blow up my copy on the fourth

what is everyone else going to do with their copy?

Huu... Why burn something you bought? You only loose in that case...

Emotional catharsis. Something the end of ME3 is missing, despite apparently being really artistic and done by, like, artists and stuff?

Probably not. Because that would mean admitting they were wrong.

I never expected more and I also believe its the best solution to keep their own work and vision of the game legit. I like it very much, especially the personalized part. Its that what everybody expected for the game: individual closure. If they can adress the plotholes in agood way, we will see, but I'm very happy with the way they will go.

Yep, uninstalling ME1, 2, and 3 now. This series has officially become unplayable.

I'm seriously hoping some genious modding team will do some alternate endings without Star-God-Brat! This is the only way Mass Effect 3 and the whole series will be playable again.

Clarification and closure not primary issue! Artistic integrity meanignless. The "art" is bad. Very.... disappointed.

This isn't enough, Bioware. Unless your clarifications remove or fix the false logic of the star-kid, the ending is broken.

Unless the decisions we made throughout three games factor more into the ending, the game is not worth replaying.

Well then, i guess this forum will be dead the next month? Because all of you heading to other games?

I get this amusing feeling that all of you will still be here next month, whining, screaming and yelling.

They're too damn proud.

EA + Thinking everything you do is "art" and perfect = You're on a FAST road to the bottom.

Welp, this was my first and last single player series, usually cant stand PVE and find it boring.

I'm not feeling very optimistic about this. The complaints about the endings have largely been lumped into 3 different groups - "the endings don't make sense because there are plot holes you can literally fly the Normandy through" "the endings don't make sense, thematically" and "the endings are completely devoid of the personalization and variety of the sort that the series & pre-release marketing indicated would be available"

This looks like it will be addressing only the first complaint. Which, okay, is big, for sure. But the other two are no less important and addressing only one of the three isn't going to do anything but fan the flames.

I have a certain level of respect for a writer standing by the story they have chosen to tell.

I would have had far more respect for them if they had looked at the criticism of that story from their core fanbase and had the humility to admit their mistakes.

Sadly they did not.

The only reson I still care enough to post this is the enjoyment i've had from Bioware in the past, they were literally my favourite developers, I bought everything they put out in good faith because I loved the fictional universes that they continually created. I guess I have to accept now that biowares "artistic vision" is very different from my idea of what makes a good story and move on.

They are not the only people in the world making RPG's, after all.

Multi-player is still a hoot mind you, I never thought I'd see the day where the only replay value I got from a bioware game was mulitplayer. Sad Days.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Personally, I don't think there's a problem with the three broad ending outcomes (control the reapers, destroy the reapers, or merge with them). If BioWare can clear up what the heck the Normandy was doing out by the relay, and maybe present things in a way that's not so confusing and bleak, I'd be happy with that.

Alright thats it, they are giving us a FREE dlc that will extrapolate on the endings and you guys are STILL whining? That's it, all the talk of the retake movement being entitled brats is completely true at this point! You guys are just whining for the sake of whining. Go be miserable elsewhere, I am sick and tired of listening to your constant disgust with everything that isn't perfect in your screwed up minds.

With that said, I thank you very much Bioware, I certainly did not expect this to be free, you have gone above and beyond my expectations, especially as someone who really enjoyed the current endings but felt they could have used a bit more work. Sorry for the reactions here, thankfully, not all of the fans of the game are radicals who hate everything that isn't 100% perfect in their minds.

That said, haters gonna hate.

If this was the response to mere general disgruntlement, this would work and be lauded.
But this is the response to unprecedented fan movement, this is severely minimalistic approach and still harbors the possibility of running afoul.

You are really Cheap, Bioware.

They're taking a huge risk here. "Clarification" isn't exactly what people have been asking for after all. "Clarification" is just the chepest, quickest solution available, not the best solution as I see it. Still, maybe, just maybe, they'll actually be able to salvage something here. As for me, I shall wait and see. I will hear what others'll have to say before even downloading this "clarification" thing when it's out.

I agree to some extent. But individuals on both sides of the spectrum are fanning the flames. Retakers and Pro-enders alike acting like school kids calling eachother "boogerheads" on a playground.

Yeah, i'm not deluding myself to that fact. You're right. I'm not trying to stick up for either side, but it just seems odd that the people who like this outcome are now labelled as "idiots", "****s", etc. Or people who don't like it are labelled as "children" or "entitled".

People who didn't like it have been labelled as "entitled" since the beginning of this debacle, but this whole thing has taken on a life of it's own and people just keep adding to it. I find it odd as well, but I think it stems for the most part from expectations. Some were just too high and too hopeful, and now instead of voicing disdain respectfully, we have this.

This Artistic stuff is bull****, is all. It wasn't 'the team's' vision, it was Mac & Casey locked in a room with no input from anyone else.

Well I'm getting this dlc seeing it's free and will get DA3 cause that was the series that I love most and got me into Bioware, but I'm not buying anything else from them. No more Mass Effect if they make another one or anything else. Only buying the Dragon Age installments now.

Keep for a party joke.

Friend : " Oh you have ME3 CE?"

Me: " Yea, its a keepsake showing Bioware's artistic choices."

Friend: "Funny how they couldn't really sell games after that"

Still LMAO about being proud of spacekid.

What's so funny? These are the same people who came up with "let's just kill Shepard and bring him back to life immediately" when presented with the problem of resetting the character to 1st Level and taking away all his equipment. The same people who thought it would be cool if our Alliance operative worked for a terrorist group with a history of executing high-level Alliance officers and various squads of Marines, while also performing sick experiments on sentient beings like the rachni, not to mention torturing Corporal Toombs. Oh yeah, Shepard would get in bed with those guys without exploring any other options first, totally believable. The same people who thought it would be cool to fight an embryonic Human Reaper as the Final Boss. And...why were the Reapers making a Human Reaper? To "preserve humanity in Reaper form"? Oh, good thing we stopped THAT from happening in ME2, instead of, you know, trying to forestall the ACTUAL REAPERS that were almost at our doorstep (and that Dr. Kenson and her Dumbdoctrinated pals were well aware of for some time). Yeah, that writing team came up with Starchild. So of course they'd be proud of him. They think it's good writing. You can lead a horse to water...

By using the term "clarify" Bioware implies the Mass Effect community simply couldn't fully comprahend their magical awesomness. Disappointing.

Clarification does not address the complaints we had. It only expands on what we don't like.
