So the IT was not true, that was the real crappy ending? Ohh boy, now I am disappointed.
I thought Bioware pull a brilliant idea with the IT, and that more playable content was on the way. I guess is time to trade the game, I can watch new cinematics in youtube.

I'll watch some "clarifications" on YouTube, the ones that most closely reflect my choices. But I won't waste my time or hard drive space downloading this. Especially since all three of my Collector's Editions will be sold or traded by the time this DLC is released.

Oh hey thanks Bioware for the free DLC! What's that? You are merely adding cutscenes and epilogue slides that expand on the already terrible ending? Well what's the point of that? The problem was that in the last 10 seconds of the game a BRAND NEW charecter is introduced without any foreshadowing who claims to want to help with a NEW PROBLEM that never existed in the first place. We were fighting the Reapers NOT synthetics. The solution was to remove Starchild altogether and/or hand wave it away as indoctrination after which we get a proper conclusion

I DO NOT WANT THE CURRENT ENDING. SOME HATE THE CURRENT ENDING. PERIOD.

Bravo Bioware and thanks alot! I am sure there is a WONDERFUL reason for Joker's escape and the destruction of the ENTIRE Galaxy. Please describe elequently how my entire crew died horribly of starvation on the jungle planet!

Unless it IS indoctrination and the DLC shows Shepard snapping out and punching Harbinger to death.

If anything indoctrination theory is still going strong. The whole citadel part was a dream, shep wakes up to see the crucible not work and then you see your war assets show what they can do against the reapers. As for those saying there won't be any playable sections, nearly all the cutscenes still require you to make choices so there is still that.

"The ending was terrible and I will never support Bioware or EA again!"

"The endings still sucked and I won't buy anything unless we get a completely new ending."

"Okay, despite campaigning for a completely new ending and all our efforts, the endings will remain in place but instead we get a couple of minutes of cutscenes that explain the endings to us? Well they better be amazing cutscenes or I'll never buy from EA/Bioware again!"

Hmm. Perhaps the S in BSN stands for Spineless.

They don't care if you will like it or not, if anyone will actually. This is a pure PR move taken by EA to divide the protest group and make the press side with Bioware and EA again. The thing is, that most of us wanted the ending changed, whilst they just offer minor tweaks and maybe an epilogue, this way, one half of the former protest group calls the other one, which still protests for a new ending, "whining, entilted kids" while the press praises EA for listening to its fans.

We lost.

Yep I was in none of those two group because I like to go solo. But the other half are clearly whining entitled kid. No wonder BioWare doesn't listen to them. B)

Strategical move is strategic.

I'm very angry that my imaginary space marine isn't getting the imaginary ending I always imagined he'd get. I'm mounting my unicorn, taking my magic wand and going home! HRMPH!!

Have fun with that buddy.

I, on the other hand, will not buy another Bioware or EA product again.  I'll make sure to talk pople out of buying their products.

I'm 90% sure this is true... I mean, if it wasn't, why would Bioware share the info on Facebook? Also, if this wasn't true, I would have to kill the entire Bioware team, as well as EA....

Honestly, I don't like the idea of DLC. They should've changed the entire endnig, because no one liked how it came to be. Oh well, even though I don't like the DLC thing, I'm still gonna buy it. Better than fumbling in the dark.

Trying to explain the unexplainable is just going to turn the ending into even more of a mess.

Doing the absolute bare minimum they can get away with to pacify the dissatisfied fanbase. A little disappointing. Bringing an out of focus photograph of a turd back into focus isn't going to turn it into a gold ingot, but that's all they seem to be offering with this 'clarity' stuff.

I'm sorry, Bioware, I really want to support you guys. You've never disappointed me before ME3, but I honestly feel that this game is the victim of such a huge number of creative missteps I can barely look at the game on my shelf. I understand you poured your time and effort into the game, but you're reacting to the response from a significant portion of your consumer base in a very poor manner.

This DLC? It's only a placebo, it doesn't repair what's wrong with the game.

Fainmaca out.

Cautious caution for me at this point. Bioware has an uphill climb to earn back my trust- if this DLC is absolutely brilliant, answers many of the plotholes and problems with the endings as they currently exist it'll be the first step of that climb.

Bioware: This DLC isn't going to repair the mistakes you've made with the ending, but if it's done well enough it might make me think that there is still something left of the old Bioware, the good old days of Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights. I hope you can pull it off, because while my mind says that you've fallen, my heart says you can still redeem yourselves. Please prove my heart right.

To all who think we are whining, no.

We WANTED this clarification. We WANTED additional cutscenes that gave closure.

But what we REALLY WANTED, was our choices back. For OUR choices to MATTER.

Right now, that isn't going to happen. Everything is staying the same, nothing matters, and worse of all we still have no choice over anything since this is all cutscenes.

^ this.

That being said, I'm still going to wait and see how this all pans out (now like I, or any of us really have a choice...unless you swear off all things ME as now now that is.)  I can't say I'm terribly optimistic, but seeing as how they're apparently bringing the VA's back, perhaps this won't just be a simple cutscene at the end.  It's...possible it could still be salvaged.  As I said in an earlier post, if I can actually see some of the results of my choices in some sort of epilogue, I'll be at least somewhat satisfied.  It won't change the fact that adding in the starchild at the very end is rubbish, but again, what can you do.

They don't think they did anything wrong so from their point of view there are no plot holes to explain. This will likely be irrelevant.

Currently, Bethesda developers are in a meeting with something along the lines of this being said:
"Perkins, what's the news with EA and Bioware?"
"They f**ked up, sir."
"Alright, that's our cue gentlemen, what do we have on the table to bring in the angry Bioware fans?"
"We should have something to show off by the time they're done with their statement at PAX, sir."
"Excellent, this is the moment we knew was coming for a month now, remember everyone, put on your honest faces and halos, they won't be able to resist the offers of DLC we can give them."
"Sir, apparently several other companies are also preparing DLC and news about their games to drive the population away from Mass Effect 3, should we do something about it?"
"No Perkins, We'll all work together on this one and blow Bioware out of business in one fell swoop."
"Sir, you're a genius, no wonder we aren't in the position they're in."
"I know, right? What kind of idiot writer thinks that people would be happy with a kid apparently controlling everything, and then seeing everyone they know and love being stranded on a planet with some of your best friends doomed to starvation and the rest doomed to die from overpopulation?"

The day Bioware and EA goes bankrupt , all I will do is gloat and laugh.

What a horrible thought.  You have to know that the vast majority of developers know what a pile of trash ending was tacked on to this.  These folk poured their souls into making a terrific game, but were forced into producing a trainwreck last 5 minutes.

More to the point, if Bioware goes under, we should all be feeling intense sadness.  They've produced some of the bet RPG titles out.  ME1 is still one of the best games ever, as is ME2 and most of ME3. DA Origins is great, as is Baldur's Gate.  That we only will have Bethesda left for good RPGs will definitely be sad.

But really, that's where we are.  I don't see buying DA:3, but I'm certainly not happy about it.  Nor do I want these most awesome developers and writers (I'm sure most of the writers had stomach cramps having to put up with the ending) to lose their job.

This Artistic stuff is bull****, is all. It wasn't 'the team's' vision, it was Mac & Casey locked in a room with no input from anyone else.

Exactly my problem. NO WAY the people who wrote the rest of the brilliant story would have signed off on this.

Hopefully the additional scenes come with some foolproof logic that deals with the issues that have resulted from this ending.

It's not a co-incidence that they're telling us about this just before PAX.

Jesus christ, no other game company that I know of have changed their ending because of whining. Are you really still pissed? Just leave the forum and play some other game. I've been disappointed by games too but I don't make it a ****ing life mission to make them change that one game.

This isn't a victory.

It's just to shut a few more people up.

Will Tali get an actual unmasking? No, probably not.

Will our choices get some more weight under them in the ending? Nope, doesn't look like it.

Congratulations, Bioware. You managed to keep your 'artistic integrity' (lol photoshop), but you won't be seeing me spend a single dollar on any more DLC.

I am disappointed that this is how ME3 comes to a close. All DLC before the end is irrelevant if you've seen the end.

I have been pretty restrained in my posting on this board but I gotta say...

Casy Hudson can go F**k himself and Bioware can join him.

They have lost this customer for life, and I will stand by such statements.

Well that's that.

Mass relays destroyed = franchise is dead. Period.

Don't bother wasting any more money making ME content because prequels are crap, and nobody will buy them.
