Have fun with that buddy.
I, on the other hand, will not buy another Bioware or EA product again. I'll make sure to talk pople out of buying their products.
Totally agree with this.
This is not just based on ME3, but DAII and SW:ToR all of which were huge disappointments to me. This company will never get a penny from me again!

rofl, could you imagine if every tyrant and despot in the history of human civilization tried to justify their actions with statements that provided "Closure and clarity"?
The victors do get to write the history books.
For those who won't accept this, please keep spreading the word. They are already locking down and erasing dissent on the forums. I am not an experienced online organizer...but I am sure some people here are. We need to organize somewhere other than the forums.

understand what we've tried to tell with our endings. So we have to make
the endings more clear, for - you know - those slower kids..."
Moreover, the term "extended cut" and no word about the additional game itself suggest that nothing will actually be changed.
I remain suspiciously pessimistic.

I don't think I'll be in any rush to buy future Bioware games though.

Jesus christ, no other game company that I know of have changed their ending because of whining. Are you really still pissed? Just leave the forum and play some other game. I've been disappointed by games too but I don't make it a ****ing life mission to make them change that one game.
Bethesda.

I appreciate that they listened to their fans, though at first sight I don't really see how a bunch of cutscenes is going to make the ending have any more sense. Sure, you can't please everyone, that's a given, but there were some major problems with the ending as it was.
I just hope you get it right this time, guys.

What a horrible thought. You have to know that the vast majority of developers know what a pile of trash ending was tacked on to this. These folk poured their souls into making a terrific game, but were forced into producing a trainwreck last 5 minutes.
More to the point, if Bioware goes under, we should all be feeling intense sadness. They've produced some of the bet RPG titles out. ME1 is still one of the best games ever, as is ME2 and most of ME3. DA Origins is great, as is Baldur's Gate. That we only will have Bethesda left for good RPGs will definitely be sad.
But really, that's where we are. I don't see buying DA:3, but I'm certainly not happy about it. Nor do I want these most awesome developers and writers (I'm sure most of the writers had stomach cramps having to put up with the ending) to lose their job.
And then? Some of the People working for Bioware will continue working for EA, the others will start working for other Studios, maybe even start up new ones. And we will have Bioware2 without EA telling them what to do
sounds good to me.
If most of the fanbase disappears and BioWare goes under, it would be sad indeed but at the time they would have brought it upon themselves.
There's no way that the ending was written by the team of writers who wrote the series. If the rumor is true, that the director and lead writer took the writing of the ending away from rest of team, then 'that' is a very sad thing. The results show.
Regarding developers and writers leaving the company to go work somewhere else or start up their own shops, that will mostly likely happen over time... and this whole ME ending controversy could well be a... 'catalyst'.

Hey guys, we should be glad. Bioware got to keep their 'artistic integrity' at the expense of the majority of their fanbase.
Indeed. At least SOME fans will like that... Can't please everyone, right?

So now I get to actually SEE Liara abandoning me at the conduit instead of just imagining it? AWESOME!!!
Now, you get to see exactly WHY Joker turned chicken and abandoned his captain of 3 1/2 years! Why your two squadmates left you to die! And WHY Joker now has to create babies with your LI of 5 years!
Maybe they'll show us scenes of Garrus and Tali starving to death on jungle planet. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

Here is a mini FAQ to help you understand what the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is and isn’t:
What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
- For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s journey.
What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
- No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
When will the Extended Cut DLC be available?
- BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.
Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?
- Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point.
So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No. Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans? Very much so and we are responding.
- Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard’s story.
Summer is coming…https://twitter.com/...929762017193984Extended cut was one of the things I alluded to. We are working our butts off to make this amazing, gratifying, and over to you ASAP.
don't worry. All that is in the works@GambleMike Not gonna lie, we do appreciate the effort. Still kind of worried that Meer/Hale have said they weren't contacted for VA yet...
BIOWARE: Yes or no... Is it indoc and will the game be playable from the end in the future? Else, this is not the news I wanted to hear.

Clarification could mean more Starchild, it's likely even, who else would it come from. I'm not upset right now because I 100% expected this but I do think it is going to blow.

I never actually wanted a choice of things to do at the end. I thought it should have been: fire the crucibe, end the war, (everything from a win to complete failure with the cycle continuing) then a ton of short scenes decided by your choices through the 3 games.
So, best possible outcome for me is probably ID theory confirmation with a collection of variable scenes picked like the event flags used in the save importer. No real need for new gameplay.
