As things stand I will not be buying Dragon Age 3, nor will I buy any future ME3 dlc until the ending situation is correctly addressed.

So now I get to actually SEE Liara abandoning me at the conduit instead of just imagining it? AWESOME!!!
Now, you get to see exactly WHY Joker turned chicken and abandoned his captain of 3 1/2 years! Why your two squadmates left you to die! And WHY Joker now has to create babies with your LI of 5 years!
Maybe they'll show us scenes of Garrus and Tali starving to death on jungle planet. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

WTF
Just admit you screwed up, Bioware.
Take a step back and look at the ending and if you can't see what we see then...
sorry but that is how i feel right now.

Currently, Bethesda developers are in a meeting with something along the lines of this being said:
"Perkins, what's the news with EA and Bioware?"
"They f**ked up, sir."
"Alright, that's our cue gentlemen, what do we have on the table to bring in the angry Bioware fans?"
"We should have something to show off by the time they're done with their statement at PAX, sir."
"Excellent, this is the moment we knew was coming for a month now, remember everyone, put on your honest faces and halos, they won't be able to resist the offers of DLC we can give them."
"Sir, apparently several other companies are also preparing DLC and news about their games to drive the population away from Mass Effect 3, should we do something about it?"
"No Perkins, We'll all work together on this one and blow Bioware out of business in one fell swoop."
"Sir, you're a genius, no wonder we aren't in the position they're in."
"I know, right? What kind of idiot writer thinks that people would be happy with a kid apparently controlling everything, and then seeing everyone they know and love being stranded on a planet with some of your best friends doomed to starvation and the rest doomed to die from overpopulation?"

God, I just hope we'll at least get a 4th and 5th choices to tell the god kid about Geth / EDI, or to flip him off and have us maybe beat the reapers if our EMS is strong enough, or just die off with some dignity.
I barely have any hope of them managing to make the ending make sense on any level, in that theatre of insanity.

I still would love to know why Shepard actually obeys that mysterious kid. I mean...it's just not something that made any sence to anyone. It was like the character was added in rather quickly. Most the talking made no sense especially with that we literally achieve nothing in my opinion. All 3 choises are ones the Reapers gave and I would not choose any. I really hate the current endings and choises especially since they gave such an impressive amount of choices through out the last 3 endings it's like they were rushed to do the ending of this game.
I'll look at the DLC but I'm not expecting much. EA games may not survive very long if they continue to ignore the gamers.

They already said exactly what it's going to be and how it's going to be. No point in having hope anymore.
You can judge it by yourself. They explain it very clearly:

Before i bought Mass Effect 3 I was 100% sure it would be great - No it would be one of the best games I ever played.
For a long time it was - Yeah there was nearly no exploration and some of my favorite characters from Mass Effect 2 had minor roles... But the game had everything I was hoping for... Until the last ~ 15 Minutes...
I mean how can you **** up a series of 100 hours so bad within 15 minutes?
Anyway I never posted in the Bioware Forums, but I have always been reading here and the community here is one of the greatest I have seen on the internet... I feel bad for you all guys.
I will wait until summer and unless I will get a proper ending and no clarification of the **** I have seen Bioware has lost a loyal customer. A customer who bought every game by Bioware blind until right now.
In my opinion Mass Effect always showed like no other game what video games seperate from books or films: I do not watch the protagonist or feel with the protagonist but I BECOME the protagonist and my actions change the story ( Even though perhaps just a slight bit). And in the end the game simply told me that nothing I did changed anything - that every action I took was as important as killing a Goomba in Super Mario or sparing him.
I would like to end this with a quote that sprang to my mind when I played the ending of Mass Effect 3 for the first time: "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
Goodbye.

What I read from this is "there are some fans not clever enough to understand what we've tried to tell with our endings. So we have to make the endings more clear, for - you know - those slower kids..."
Moreover, the term "extended cut" and no word about the additional game itself suggest that nothing will actually be changed.
I remain suspiciously pessimistic.
You don't need a suggestion that nothing will be changed. They've flat out said it now.
Pride over loyalty, 'artistic integrity' over plain old integrity.

Hmm... thanks, I guess? Though I don't agree with part of the assumptions, i.e., that only "some" need more closure. Really? Dunno why, but it's a little insulting.
I appreciate that they listened to their fans, though at first sight I don't really see how a bunch of cutscenes is going to make the ending have any more sense. Sure, you can't please everyone, that's a given, but there were some major problems with the ending as it was.
I just hope you get it right this time, guys.
Yea, I'm not holding my hopes high for this extended cut DLC. It might add to the problem rather than fixing the problem.
To me, the biggest disappointment with the ending -- besides the plotholes and all which by the sound of it will be addressed in the DLC -- was, is,
no matter what decisions and actions were made throught the series (kill or save, love or betray, paragon or renegade, etc), they all amounted to nothing but 'by the way choose an ending A, B, or C'...
... zero replay value.

Jeebus, it's going to Starchild sitting in a chair in front of a space fireplace telling us what happened like we're children.
Maybe we'll get a Buzz Aldrin epilogue narration ala Dukes of Hazzard. Where he calls everyone "my sweet".

They are wearing the retake movement down, we have to stick to our guns and trade in all our games. We need to hurt them financially.

What a horrible thought. You have to know that the vast majority of developers know what a pile of trash ending was tacked on to this. These folk poured their souls into making a terrific game, but were forced into producing a trainwreck last 5 minutes.
More to the point, if Bioware goes under, we should all be feeling intense sadness. They've produced some of the bet RPG titles out. ME1 is still one of the best games ever, as is ME2 and most of ME3. DA Origins is great, as is Baldur's Gate. That we only will have Bethesda left for good RPGs will definitely be sad.
But really, that's where we are. I don't see buying DA:3, but I'm certainly not happy about it. Nor do I want these most awesome developers and writers (I'm sure most of the writers had stomach cramps having to put up with the ending) to lose their job.
Lancia produced some of the best cars around for a time, then they c**ked up and then went under, now no-one remembers them for the good cars they were, they're only remembered as "that company who sold rusty cars".
I assure you, companies going down and people remembering them as a bunch of idiots has happened before, and happens all the time, look at the news on companies going under, you'll find a lot of names that you don't even care have gone, or remember them for being a bad company/brand.

Don't do any of this and throw in a few more cutscenes and dialogue for a terrible illogical contradicting ending = pissed off customers leave and don't buy anymore product
What is this about really, EA/Bioware? Pride?
