Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard’s story.

Why do they keep pulling this "artistic integrity" bull ****!? The only art that's set in stone is art set in stone! Mass Effect 3 is not set in damn stone! It can be reprogrammed, reanimated, or whatever! Just because this is what they've been planning since the beginning, doesn't make it unchangable! Bioware made a mistake, a correctable mistake! And now they're refusing to correct the mistake, and trying to justify the mistake that they made. It's a freaking copout and I don't have time for it.

Unless the DLC confirms the indocrination theory, and unless there is a way Shepard is somehow rescued and aboard the Normandy when it gets stranded on that planet, I am done...well I'll be very upset and pissed off. God knows I'll still continue to buy every other Mass Effect merchandise that's created from here on out. Posted Image But still!!! Posted Image

"The extension to Mass Effect 3 is a high profile example of a publisher responding to fan demands, even if they were a vocal minority."

:pinched:

Yeah, that guy at the end was full of himself.

Glad they are doing something, but I'll never buy a bioware product again. It was a nice run, Baldur's Gate 1 and most everything since then, but dlc explaining plot holes and just overall screwing my beloved series is/was enough.

Before you folks start slashing your wrists and throwing yourselves out of windows maybe you should wait and see what the DLC is like first?

That's what they want us to do, trade in your copies this week and end this. This is the only way we can send them a message.

They're hearing it loud and clear in this area at least... I was just doing my weekly walkthrough in GameStop and saw an entire display FULL of USED ME3 (xbox) boxes... They were selling for $3-8.00.

Is there away to just cut out the Catalyst from the game? I'll pay for that. Seriously.

$50 if you hack my 360 and ME3 install so it just goes from Anderson/Shepard --> Shepard picking one of 3 decisions --> ending.

From what I read yesterday of an interview tith Jennifer Hale she said that she has not been contacted to do any further work with Mass Effect 3. This means that they either just decided to make a DLC after winning an award (EA won it) for being the worst company in the US, or that the expanded endings aren't going to include anything that actually expands on what we as players get to do and instead will just be subtitles, or pictures, showing things.

I can't seriously believe that they insulted me, they insulted us all, so openly and trying to look innocent at the same time.

Typical, Bioware gives in and gives you what you want, and it still doesn't satisfy you.

They're putting in time, resources, and budget into giving you all something for FREE and you just spit on it.

Ungrateful. That's what it is.

Okay..this confirms it.

The only crowd at the Bioware PAX-expo, will be IGN employees, or other payed review sites that happily on the EA collar-and-leash.

Well... It's nice that they're actually doing something and that it's free and everything. But I can't help feeling that they're really missing the point.

I'm honestly not surprised at the announced content of the DLC. In fact I'm more surprised that they are doing ANYTHING about the crappy ending. Bioware, even before the EA thing, hasn't been exactly awesome when it comes to tying up franchises. Baldur's Gate - The Bhaal thing really only worked for so long...ToB was terrible, rushed, and essentially a hack n slash. DA - At what point do you just stop giving a **** about the mages and templars. Why should you? Isn't an an RPG? Shouldn't that be your choice? Nope, not really.

So, while I'm thrilled that we're getting anything at all...I won't be surprised when it's simply complementary colors of the existing ending(s).

So as I see the ending now is that Shepard died for real before the Catalyst scene and the Child is just God or Satan. Whatever.

I guess this is about as good as it gets. It certainly isn't everything people were asking for, but here's hoping they hit it out of the park. Still a little... concerned. It's just difficult to imagine playing through the trilogy again knowing it will only end in horrible, plot-holed depression with little or no input from the player. I tried to do that a few days ago but didn't get very far.

So, let me get this straight Bioware. Are you basically telling me that your artistic vision went over my head, and that you are willing to tack on a few cut scenes to clarify? Let me be abundantly clear.mi get the ending. I understand the artistic vision and direction. It sucks. What you are saying is that surely no one could dislike our ending. . . They must need clarification. This is arrogant, and insulting. Wallet officially closed. Good luck at Pax. You are going to need it. Even Lucas is blushing for you.

I don't know what to say. I ques i will w8 until the DLC is released before I make final judgement on the game. I could live with the ending if things are explained and concluded at bit more, but ME3 has moved the entire ME triligy from the awesome place to the generic bin for me.maybe this DLC can move it back to the good list. but it can also send Bioware to the dissappoint sector for me. If they don't handel it right Iprobably won't buy anthing from them again, except if the comments about it are good.
