No amount of cutscenes or extended epilogue can repair the damage done by starchild.

It needs to be taken out, better to have the choices presented to you at the console next to Anderson/TIM.

I feel that this Free DLC is entirely satisfactory. This shows that Bioware does listen to their fanbase and it good that they elaborate on the endings and also it is free. Don't judge it until it is released.

I have hope and faith that Jessica isn't pulling our leg. It certainly seems like they may be giving some real thought and she has implied that she knows more than she is able to discuss. So here is hoping. I also hope Bioware sees this reaction and understands that it is because trust was broken in the first place that allowed a skeptical and harsh response to what is obstentially good news.

I am not at all ashamed to admit that I am so glad I am not the only one who feels this way.

I may feel like a sell-out later, but at the moment I am completely willing to set aside my qualms with starchild if the whole issue with the Normandy is resolved. That is all I want to make up for the days and weeks I have spent agonizing over how sad that made me. 

My god... I think I may be able to start breathing again and living normally. And I don't care one bit if anyone finds that pathetic.

I dont think its pathetic at all.
But basing your hopes on twitter feeds will lead to dissapointment.
Many twitter posts up untill now were hinting at great things to come,indoctrination theory etch etch.
Its just PR to make people feel better and spawn speculation that will keep them hoping and not writing Bioware off completely, untill the backlash blows over.

Very true (though I was never a fan of IDT). And I should know better than to take such words at face value. But you know what? It's still more hope than I had yesterday, and a heck of a lot more than I had back on March 9th. For right now... "I'll take it."

I wanted an ending at the end of the game. Not a couple of months later when I am travelling through Asia. I don't think I'll ever look at something EA/Bioware again. Not when I'm back. Not on PS4 or Xbox 1080.

Also, what everyone else says. The plot holes cannot be fixed by expanding on the existing ending. It was a failure on all fronts.

If they can ACTUALLY CLARIFY all those freaking PLOT HOLES without LAME EXCUSES AND EXPLANATIONS, It will could possibly be less worse, but probably still terrible!

The indocrination theory makes so much freaking perfect sense that I don't even know why they won't adopt it even if they never planned it. Even if they chose to change some things, but still. Actually, that could be the reason. Their pride won't let them admit fans thought about a much more epic ending than the one made up themselves. It's just as if fans can't ever be more creative than the artistic team just because they actually only became fans due to their work. That's some stupid pride. It's like when you argue with your parents or teacher or boss about something you know you're right, but they just won't admit it and throw lame excuses of why they think you're wrong.

The only way I can live with that crappy not-changing ending is to think the writers became indocrinated in the creative process missleading us to a very non-sense ending rather than an epic one.

Guys shall we wait to see what they do before we start trashing them.
Joker running can be resolved with another cutscene
Crew mysteriously back on the ship can be resolved with a cutscene
Decisions having an impact can be resolved through cutscenes
Hell an explanation for how the f*** a giant space laser can re-write ALL LIFE EVERYWHERE can be resolved through a cutscene.
I'm just saying maybe JUST MAYBE this is everything we've been campaigning for... or we can go back to howling at Bioware after it's released, but for now I can hope.

So, they weren't listening. They aren't going to address the complete and utter lack of narrative coherence. They're not planning on doing more than fixing a few of the more cosmetic complaints.

I'm not returning here until after it's released. If it addresses the narrative coherence problems, then I might buy Bioware games in the future. If it does not, Bioware has lost me as a customer.

Closure is good. We still have no idea what will be clarified though. Clarification is vague enough that it could literally be anything. They could, "clarify" that while Shepard was unconscious the Reapers were stopped by Goku using the Black Star Dragonballs and they wouldn't have technically lied.

Really, without details, this doesn't actually change much. Still, skeptically optimistic.

Actually Goku wouldn't be able to kill the Reapers using the dragonballs.

But he wouldn't need to because he is strong to take out a Reaper simply by punching it. His Kamehameha wave could probably clear out all the Reapers around Earth's orbit.

So if the dragonballs were going to be used they would have to be used to bring back Goku, again (he dies an awful lot).
And to my mind that wouldn't be any more plot holey than godchild and might be more agreeable because I love the DB series whereas the godchild was a brand new character inserted at the very last minute to save a plot that seemed like it backed itself into a wall.

They could only do that if they were GOOD WRITERS. And if they were, the PLOT HOLES would not be there in the first place.
