I just cancelled my SWTOR account (that I haven't had the heart to play since finishing ME3). When cancelling I gave as the reason:

I am cancelling because of this:

http://blog.bioware....3-extended-cut/

BioWare will never get another penny of my money. A month ago I was the kind of BioWare fanboy who'd buy anything from your company, even if I knew nothing about it. I've played every one of your games going back to Baldur's Gate. And I'm the kind of gamer you want - 40, with too much entertainment money. The ME merch I bought from your store in days gone by can attest to this.

Your decision to not fix the utterly broken & poorly written ending of ME3, combined with the dismissive attitude you had toward your customer & the outright marketing lies you made about the game's ending in the months before release mean I simply cannot trust you.

So. Enjoy your artistic integrity. Hide behind your ego & pride, rather than admit that - as talented as you all are - you made a mistake. I realize my personal boycott won't really matter to your company, but there it is nonetheless.

Signing out,
A true hardcore former fan

They haven't listened to a word we've said here for the last month. The only voice I have left is my wallet.

I hope with every fiber of my being that when I am 40, I will have realized to not judge something before it even comes out. Especially, when that something is FREE. For the love of bacon, think about what you are saying. You know barely ANYTHING about this DLC, just like everyone else, other than it will attempt to provide clarity. You have no idea how deep said clarity will go, and you are at this point just whining for the sake of whining. Honestly, who are you to say that the writing is poor before it's even extrapolated on? For all we know, the DLC will give perfectly good descriptions for the "plot holes", you won't know until you try it. You and everyone like you have 0 good reasoning for getting so  uptight over an announcement that you know absolutely nothing about.

Signing out,
Somebody with some reasonable sense.

Wow an extended blue, green or red ending, but more personalised, wow just wow !, (face palm, followed by Doh). My initial reaction of course. I might be wrong but EA/BW still seem to think their original artistic ending was great (all those 75 perfect scores and critical acclaim bs has gone to their heads). I'll reserve judgement till i've seen it, but If they can cutscene the ending so all the plotholes and godchild's err.. logic makes sense I'll be stunned. Until then well done EA/BW for at least making it free.

So, in light of the recent tweets from Jessica Merizan there's only one true ending, Destroy. The other two are pitfalls.

I'm going to repost this from the other thread:

Excuse me, but this I won't believe until proven. A BioWare PR person telling all these things/spoilers in advance (relays can be rebuilt, you can reunite with your crew and LI and live happily thereafter in a "Reaperless" Milky Way) MONTHS before this Extended Crap is released?! Maybe it's just me, but I can't see that happening. No company in their right mind would allow a middleman to tell such things to customers so early... but then again, BioWare hasn't been in their right mind for quite some time.

But the most terrifying thing is, that some of you guys and gals are taking this PR talk at face value. "Listen to what you're saying! You're - being - indoctrinated!" Ahem, sorry for the in-universe rambling. No, I'm not belittling, insulting, lashing out at those who have finally seen a glimmer of hope. But please, don't build up your hype and set your expectations/hopes high for this so fast, lest the same sort of disappointment and pain that struck you at the ending will reoccur... Remember, they lied to us before, so what's holding them back from doing so again? Cautious optimism is all fine, but blind trust in BW is something that can bite you in the arse REALLY hard.

Still, I'd be more than happy if at least your hopes came true. Personally, while I always wanted to be reunited with my crew and LI and have a happy ending, I'd want an ending that makes sense, first and foremost. One that doesn't unload a whole thermal clip of bullets from a Revenant into the lore of Mass Effect.

You will reserve judgement till you have seen it... Except that you already judged it before you saw it. Epic.

Bravo EA if true my faith has been restored. The movement worked guys we can pat ourselves on the back.

How can you say that they have just admited to not wanting to listen to us

WTF was the point of that we care we want your opinion thread the other week, they've just basicly turned round & said " thanks for your money now F*** off"

"We are listening to your complaints" NO YOUR NOT or you'll know the biggest complaint revolves around GOD CHILD.

ME1 Quote

"You touch my mind fumbling in ignerance incapable of understanding"

No I understand just fine, your a synthetic ba**ard that was created by some random GOD CHILD AI to wipe out all galactic life so galactic life doesn't build synthetics that will wipe them out.

Vigil told you himself that by the time that the reapers returned to Dark Space the only prothians that were left were the top scientists. They used the conduit to go to the citadel & then they reprogramed the keepers to stop them from obaying the reapers.

If GOD CHILD has supposedly always been on the citadel so why did'nt he signal Soverin when the Prothian scientist's started there attempts at rewriting the keepers. I'm sorry but if I was an advanced AI like that THING is supposed to be then I would have signeled my "SLAVES" to come & deal with the Prothians so that my mission wasn't comprimised.

So the awnser is NO they have not listened to a damb thing we've said the end will remain broken unless GOD CHILD is addressed.

I think we can solve this problem with some cupcakes. I feel as though Bioware missed the message when we sent cupcakes last time. So, I think that we should send more cupcakes, yet clarify more about them. We could spell out which color each cupcake is, send a list of nutrition facts about the cupcakes, give them more cupcakes than the last time, and send a 200 page manifesto on why cupcakes are good and they should eat them.

We aren't going to change the recipie, or give them new colors. We'll just add on to the message, and clarify it. We have artistic integrity to uphold. That should satisfy them.

I know what I need to know about it. They are not going to change any of the current ending content, which I personally consider to be irrevokably broken. I know this because they stated it.  I also know that the ending we were given to the game is neither in keeping with the rest of the series, nor does it resemble (at all) what they explicitly promised us in the months leading up to its release.

Based on these things that I know, I feel very comfortable making the decision to move on from BioWare & never look back. I don't believe I am making this decision rashly, and frankly I don't care if you think I am.

I'm glad that you like the endings, or plan to like the clarifications they are working on. I don't believe restoring some kind of basic narrative coherence to the crap ending will change the fact that it is a crap ending.  I disagree with you on this, but I'll refrain from making it a personal attack or statement about you personally. You might want to consider doing the same.

Guys: nothing Jessica Merizzan said on twitter can't already be explained by the game's current endings. If Shep survived in "destroy," ANYTHING is potentially possible in your own mind, no matter how improbable. Doesn't mean they are going to show it. I don't think she as a spokesperson knows what the dev team are going to do this far out.

I will continue to hold the line, speaking for what we truly want.

So, my options are still only:
A) Mass Genocide versus our synthetic allies
B) Indocrinate Mysellf and become the Reapers (because the Reaper creator says it'll be okay)
C) Forcibly rewrite the entire galaxie's DNA without their approval.

Sounds like my Shepard may still be choosing none of the above rather than committing those war crimes, but still a bit curious what the extended explanation will do with those options.

Best to just kill off the geth while at Rannoch and be done with it.

Add an option to choose destroy when shep survives and Geth/Edi aren't killed and I might just be happy for once since all this drama began.

Yep.  I think my Shep is just going to let Marauder Shields kill him and hope that people will find Liara's time capsules in the next 50K years and develop a better plan to destroy the Reapers.
