So, in light of the recent tweets from Jessica Merizan there's only one true ending, Destroy. The other two are pitfalls.

I will choose the ending I think is best for the galaxy regardless of whether or not Shepard survives. Anything else would dishonor the character I've played through three games.

All I want is the feeling that within the limits of the plausible, all is well with the galaxy Shepard is leaving behind. Then I can let Shepard go.

So, my options are still only:
A) Mass Genocide versus our synthetic allies
B) Indocrinate Mysellf and become the Reapers (because the Reaper creator says it'll be okay)
C) Forcibly rewrite the entire galaxie's DNA without their approval.

Sounds like my Shepard may still be choosing none of the above rather than committing those war crimes, but still a bit curious what the extended explanation will do with those options.

Best to just kill off the geth while at Rannoch and be done with it.

Yes, ff I'm ever replaying ME, Shep will be the ultimate nihilist, since that is Bioware's artistic vision.

It was really the only move they could make. A lot of people HATED the ending, some loved it. Going in the middle (ie. not changing the ending but not leaving them as is) was the only move they could make without completely alienating one side. Bioware, I'm assuming, is hoping that this will appease enough people to make the game seen more favorably.

I just cancelled my SWTOR account (that I haven't had the heart to play since finishing ME3). When cancelling I gave as the reason:

I am cancelling because of this:

http://blog.bioware....3-extended-cut/

BioWare will never get another penny of my money. A month ago I was the kind of BioWare fanboy who'd buy anything from your company, even if I knew nothing about it. I've played every one of your games going back to Baldur's Gate. And I'm the kind of gamer you want - 40, with too much entertainment money. The ME merch I bought from your store in days gone by can attest to this.

Your decision to not fix the utterly broken & poorly written ending of ME3, combined with the dismissive attitude you had toward your customer & the outright marketing lies you made about the game's ending in the months before release mean I simply cannot trust you.

So. Enjoy your artistic integrity. Hide behind your ego & pride, rather than admit that - as talented as you all are - you made a mistake. I realize my personal boycott won't really matter to your company, but there it is nonetheless.

Signing out,
A true hardcore former fan

They haven't listened to a word we've said here for the last month. The only voice I have left is my wallet.

If the DLC reasonable explains how Glowboy isn't a deus ex machina who ends the game by essentially just forcing you to make a choice of three buttons to push while having absolutely no reason to trust Glowboy on any of them, I'll be happy.

Actually, i`d have told that starbrat to go to hell, atleast you had a fighting chance with that entire armada to kill some reapers system by system, planet by planet as the relays weren`t destroyed

More sense with all your choices then be forced to pick your 3 color doomsday effect... <_<

Complaining that the content will not ultimately ease our discontent with the ending.

Why...? So, you hate the catalyst so much, that you would sacrifice the entirety of galactic civilization, now, and every 50,000 years, because your that selfish? Thats what I just read.

Hooray for genocide! Hooray for killing your friends! Hooray!

Makes the Rannoch decision kind of pointless, right?

And curing the genophage decision too..and destroying cerberus...

And saving the rachni queen, destroying the collector base...

And who survives Virmire, or any of the loyalty missions, or anyone that you helped along the way...

Or any civic improvements you made on the Citadel, or any of the political shifts you might have influenced by allying with Aria or the fate of the original Council...

Just because something is free does not mean it's immune to critique. The fact is what they're giving us, free, according to the FAQ, is just lipstick on a pig.

It sounds like "closure" is the equivalent of dobule-checking the rear door on my FemShep's hearse.

If that's all it is, then since nothing will be done about the impossibility of living without MP or having to be some kind of psychic to run through all three games again without making a single choice that alters the string theory it takes to survive, I can skip this.

I don't see where there's anything to discover on the cutting room floor about "you weren't ever going to survive the SP game" that hasn't already been made evident.

no. There are three endings and you can use your imagination to ...go where you want.
Destroy: they will rebuild the Relays, find the Normandy, Shepard and LI will be together.
Control: Reapers will rebuild the Relays, they will find the Normandy, Shepard-Reaper and LI will be together...somewhat
Synthesis: Reapers will rebuild the Relays, they will find the Normandy..... okay, can't come up with a Happy Solution for this right now.

But it's free, it doesn't cost you ANYTHING. Let me spell this out... you. are. not. losing. anything. by. playing. this. dlc. And, for that matter you know pretty much nothing about it at this point, how in the heck do you know it will be dissapointing without even trying it? Judgemental much?

That's a pretty immature response coming from someone responding to how immature others are apparently acting, when they really aren't. Oh, and not to mention the poor effort in grammar and spelling. Bravo.

I suppose I might eventually play ME3 again, but unless "clarity and closure" covers IT or something similar, I still will not be buying any DLC and will remain wary of future BW/EA products. The ending as is just does not fit and some additional cut-scenes won't fix that.

Unless galactic unity was working and Glowboy was giving Shepard false information hoping to fend off the reapers being defeated. So she should have had a choice to trust him or not.

This isn't really news. The only ending where you don't give in to the ideals of two villains and come out of it alive is clearly the true ending.

Unless some how on Bioware eyes Shepard was the real villain and by our actions we stop the greatest heroes on the galaxy Saren, TiM and our beloved Reapers. Making ME3 our last chance of redemption. :o

I'm not going to complain, I think I know what they're going for, but honestly, they should have known better in the first place. "Criticaly Acclaimed" or not, a lot of people might not bother after few months from launch.

On the other side - I'm sure they are aware of it, so it does seam they're doing it with those few individuals who will bother in mind.
