Just went through my second time of  campaign last night.   Did "fresh" character first time and improted an ME2 character for second time.

LOTS of difference with the story.

One detail I noteced was that the Banshee in the London fight that shows up just after finding the  downed shuttle and using the heavy weapon to take down the  reaper had the name MORINTH. 

Sorry to see her meet that fate.  Can't remember what this character did in ME2 with that part of the story.

Also wonder why the reapers brought her to Earth?

I believe if Shepard killed Samara instead of Morinth on Samara's loyalty mission on Omega in ME2, you get that Banshee Morinth in London. There are also some accompany e-mail and Shadow Broker entry about Morinth too in the game. Unlike Samara though, you do not run into her when you go to the Ardat-Yakshi place...

Arguably changing the name of one boss does not constitute a "difference in the story".
Oh, and read your emails - you'll have gotten an email about her going on a murder spree on Earth (where she was evidently captured by the Reapers and banshee-fied). Good work sparing her in ME2. 

You can also run into unique bosses depending on how you dealt with Legion and Jack

Thanks. I looked at all emails and none showed up about this. I will be importing a number of other ME2 characters for further play-throughs and will watch for additional story changes.

The BIG differences I saw were strung through the entire campaign. Decisions in previous games definitely changed the arc of the story in many places.
