Wow. First, N7 rating has nothing to do with weapon rating. I've put a lot of hours into this game and I don't even have a 200 N7 rating. There is no real point into promoting characters. Not even for single player.
Second, why is it people that take advantage of the glitch should be banned? Bioware gets a free pass at laziness, at false advertising, at an embarrassing loot system, or the Resurgence Scam?
Here's why people do it. They want to enjoy the game. How satisfying is it to put in 4 hours playing gold, winning every match, getting 280k credits and unlocking nothing useful?
Without reward, the tacked on horde mode gets boring fast. There are only x amount of useful gold characters, and y amount of builds for them, with z amount of useful weapons. So instead of playing as a Salarian Infiltrator for four hours, because you haven't been lucky enough to unlock an Asari Adept yet, some people decide to glitch. Good for them.
Instead of banning people, Bioware could, you know, fix the system, That includes both the store and the glitch. A game with a monotonous and luck based incentive will drive people away, regardless of DLC gimmicks. They will lose players if the ban or reset people as well. If everything is put to 0, that's forcing someone to play the flawed system over if they want to continue playing.
Face it, the only answer is to treat the sickness not nurse a symptom.

It's sad that so many peoples morals are so poor that they're not only defending this nonsense but actually trying to place the blame on Bioware to excuse their rampant cheating. That it's a game doesn't mean that the basic concepts of right and wrong don't apply.
But I'm not surprised. There are a lot of cheaters in online gaming and in my experience they are the ones with the biggest mouths and the least amount of actual skill.

Donno, but it better stop. Lots of people who are doing this are more aware now, so they play on private matches to do it. One week ago, I saw a guy with N7 120 with Javelin X amd Paladan X on Gold. There is no doubt that he used the exploit, unless he used hundreds of real dollars, which is not very likely to spend so much money as that low of a rank. Plus he was a kid...

Your tears satiate my heart : ).
This sounds almost as pathetic as people that get mad when they see low level players with ultra rares that they don't have. Be happy for them and keep living your life and playing the damn game.
Keep crying the world doesn't care.

To be clear, my N7 rank is 800. Second, I have everysingle weapon exept the saber and collector. All my rare weapons are lv 10 and some of my N7 weapons are up to lv 4. I played since the demo and got everything the legit way. I dont see why not to be angry to cheaters who use chears to get their stuff. I have spent days playing to get this far, while some people old or new players use this tactic and get ahead of sincere players that follow rules. I saw people who had begginer rank and all the sudden they have like 300 rank the next day by lving up with packs that they bought usimg tje exploit.

Well when you make a game that requires so much stinking multuiplayer to get any sort of decent weapons, yeah.
The packs give crap, even the premiums give me crap and as such I'm starting to look at methods to farm credits faster.
If I didn't have to play 3 games per premium pack then yeah, no problem, cheaters suck.

They don't care.
STOP SPENDING REAL $
Don't reward Bioware and EA for not being able to fix the exploit.

They already know, and people are already getting banned. And n7 rating has nothing to do with weapon levels at all. I am n7 270 with all common weapons and every uncommon weapon at level X with the exception of the Phalanx and Schimitar.

It's so sad, because the people abusing the exploit keep proving that they are such idiots.
They keep saying that turning Feedback Off will keep them from getting caught. WHERE did they hear that from? "From a buddy"? They'd only have to look up what Feedback actually does and what it doesn't do, and they'd know that it doesn't matter. Bioware can still track the amount of credits you are granted over a short amount of time- and since that's the POINT of you doing the exploit in the first place, it's kind of obvious who the exploiters are and aren't when they look at the data.
Additionally, the people who abuse the exploit are breaking their User Agreement- they have automatically lied and broken a legally binding contract. If you have to look for moral justification that what they're doing is WRONG, there's your big shining light. But that's not all! They seem to think that they won't get banned for this, because there's obviously SO MANY exploiters that EA can't afford to ban all of them, and EA will lose money. This is forgetting that the majority of people who don't come on the forums ( we are but a fraction of the community as a whole ) don't actually know about the exploit.
Look: If somebody is exploiting the glitch, it's because they weren't willing to put the time or money into the game to earn it like everybody else. So why would EA be under any delusional idea that they'd suddenly put in any more time and money once they AREN'T able to abuse the exploit? They don't. They already have your money for the game, and you're not going to spend MORE money on the game, so logically, you are ban meat.
If that's not enough- even if they don't ban you TODAY, you have given them the RIGHT to ban you whenever they damn-well please. You broke the contract. Even if they choose not to ban you now because they fear a PR disaster / they don't want to ban that many people, you're an idiot if you think they won't ban handfuls of people for, say.. Coming online to gloat about it? Supporting the glitch on the forums? Insulting the staff? They can do it, because you gave them the right to do it. Your account is linked to your game. You are screaming out, "Ban me! Ban me!"
Hell, a month from now, they could just decide that your username looks funny, or that the way you mis-spelled "reticule" was intellectually offensive, and they can ban you.
And you won't be able to do jack about it, or have any right to complain.
Because you, exploit-abusers, are- say it with me- idiots.

I used real money once.... i had about 300 ms points laying around that i hadn't used in forever and wouldn't be using soon. theyre released resurgence.... i got it free -- i felt it was worth at leasta couple bucks... so i spent a couple bucks on packs.... kind of like those people who have released their music/videos/etc. for sale online at whatever price fans want to pay. i like that business model.

since the "cheaters" make up about .5% of the community, I don't really care and neither should BioWare. I would like them to focus on more game improvements and DLCs
