Hmm, looks like (so far) the only place you can pre-order the Collector's Edition is from the EA store.  Is that by design or will other vendors soon be able to offer pre-orders for the Collector's Edition?

Gamestop used to offer the CE. Maybe they ran out. Others may have ran out as well. I didn't pre order yet so I think I will be getting my CE from the EA store.

Wow, hope running out is not the case. I have kept an eye out for the collector's edition and have never seen it offered, period. Only recently has it even been offered at the EA store!

Well, it used to be offerd by Gamestop I know that much. Bioware does state there is a limited amount of them available. I'm not meaning to be rude if I am.:)
At least it is available at the EA store.:)

Hmm, didn't even know there was such a thing.  I was only interested in the PC collector's edition.  I'm a sucker for those cloth maps lol.

@whisperbw

What country are you in? If you are in the US familyvideo.com still has it listed at below list price.

The game has been available for pre order for a while now I think. That is probably why there are places that have run out of the Collectors Edition. For that reason and also since Bioware has it posted somewhere that there is only a limited amount of them available.

So far there is only 1 place i can find that ships the good collectors edition with case and map for xbox 360, and it will cost 140 american dollars. New games usually cost 100$ here in Denmark.

@endaround

Thanks for the tip. I am in the US.  I already have accounts set up with GameStop and Amazon which I was hoping I could use to order the collector's editon, hate to set up yet another vendor account. Since GameStop and Amazon don't seem to be offering it any longer though, guess I'll just try to play it safe and order from the EA store.

http://dragonage.bioware.com/game/preordercollectors/

That's the link I used to see what the CE gives.
As I said before, I'm a sucker for cloth maps but the "Making Of" DVDs I also find interesting.
