I'm playing a mage. When gained level 7 a tutorial popped up about picking a specialization spell line but I need a trainer to do this. I haven't seen a trainer nor do I have a clue as to where to find one... I've gone through Redcliffe castle and currently working on saving Connor among other side quests. Maybe there is a trainer somewhere nearby that I missed??
Also, is there any type of "respec" feature in the game?
Couple of questions that may be related ...

Some party members can teach you their specialization. Some you have to buy as tomes in shops. Some you get from certain events or people in the game.
You only need to unlock them once, they will carry over to any new game you start. Some people also buy the tome, then reload to get the money back.
There is a respec mod, go search.
