Why did the Dark Energy plot get scrapped!?

 Was it because it was leaked and people hated it!?

If so...uteerly gutted!

It explains the role of the collectors and the human reaper, why they are harvesting ADVANCED races etc.

I dunno...a real shame if you ask me
