This topic is not in the Site Help section because it doesn't report new bugs. It's just an opinion on the whole site.
  • Let's face it. This site is clearly not mature/stable enough to cope with its workload and functions. It's BETA, like that, in capitals (taken from the site logo, no less).
  • Broken signup for several days (though it was fixed for me now - thanks Bioware, but that's nothing near swift)
  • Random errors on mundane forum actions (I got denial to access a restricted area when I tried to post this the first time)
  • Server overload so bad a topic refresh, if successful at all, returns a random
version of the thread from within last 15 minutes - I actually
witnessed 3 different versions, one older than another, in 3 successful
    refreshes.
  • People are reporting problems with game registrations/redeeming content/etc. Cannot say yet myself.
  • A big loss of functionality over old forums
  • etc, etc
My point - it's all okay for a new site to start like that, but it's NOT okay to force such a transition upon everyone by closing the old DA forums, or tying game registration features to it. If this is a beta, it SHOULD be optional.

It's beta, but it's also essential for modding content later. Don't worry too much about it, those problems are extremely minor.

Yes, even the people with problems registering are minor.

I completely agree, they shouldnt have closed the old forums until this site was fully functional and not just BETA. I'm not sure if this post will even appear, adding to the fact that extensive work needs to be done. My frustration build up will only be relieved by DA:O, it will rise if i dont get the so promised items..

I think it was the closing the old forums that caused some of the problems as that is when most of the problems showed up.

Closing the old forums drasticaly increased the traffic on this one... which is causing most of the problems. The increased traffic from the impending release hasn't helped either. I wouldn't worry though, they'll fix it.

It's getting on my nerves when I type up a reply, post it, then the post fails because my login expired mid-posting, then I have to re-login, then re-enter the thread, then re-reply from scratch, (especially irritating if I was quoting someone) retype the reply, & re-post my reply before the reply FINALLY makes it! Image IPB (Why does the login expire every 24 hours? Isn't the average login length 2 weeks?)
