^^ At this point, I don't care if they take an idea from BSN, implement it and lie that it was planned from the beginning to not loose the face. I just want something else tgan what we have now! Anything will be better.
Agreed - as long as it's a good quality ending, it really doesn't matter where the initial ideas came from.

Everything else with the ending will be fine as long as they: fill the plot holes, clearly explain everyone isn't stuck on Earth and intergalactic travel and cooperation is still possible, and completely take out the Normandy stranded scene. It makes no freaking sense and is the main burning reason I loathe the current ending. Everything else is fine. But Please take out the god awful Normandy stranded scene.

-The Mass Effect novel not taking into cosider lore leading towards a book burning
-First day DLC having important story based information and charging gamers
-Mass Effect 3 Ending
-EA getting worse company of 2012 by Consumerist...
and a ton more....

I have a feeling one DLC was going to be about what Liara, Garrus etc do afterwards. Maybe some species did know how to duplicate mass effect jumps etc. They can really go anywhere with it to be honest.
The logical answer is simply we got what we got and for some insane reason they didn't foresee their fans getting this irate over it.
Unreal how such an amazing series did a 180 at the end in the entire gamely mechanic and story lol
Funny what other users said, when there was no planet mining at all, and no hacks to open safes etc, I was disappointed. It became more like COD or any other game. Less story and eploration, more linear. The side quests were a joke compared to 1 and 2, maybe because it was the last game and they had no way to add depth to stretch it out?
Now that i think back ME2 blows ME3 out of the water. Like others have said it just seems like since EA got their paws on Bioware the quality has gone down. Even tho the game was delayed once, I'll bet vital parts of my anatomy the people working on this franchise wanted more time, but simply were not given it by the bean counters. Honeslty when I first launched the game and they ditched the insanely cool title song for, I dont even know what. I knew to exepct less lol
I hope for one thing. Whatever meetings Bioware may be having about this, I hope their employees and the few people who make the real decisions do read these comments, but I want them to take a step back and realize their fans are doing this because we ARE loyal. We simply expected and want more. You would never see this kind of out cry for any other game unless Nintnedo mad Mario an furry animal and Zelda died lol Basically this entire situation is a compliment to their work.
The best chance they have to spin this in every direction posative would be at E3. Literally say, we DO have plans, but yeah, looking back we def dropped the ball a bit on relaying that to the players. Explain the extended cut is being done to fill in the plot for ME3, but then drop ME4 on everyone (as was hopefully planned).
Look at it this way. No matter what happens in the future, if here is great DLC after, or ME4, 5,6 etc. Everyone will always say. how amazong ME is, but damn 3 was weak with that retarted ending. lol

1)Personalization of choices is achieved.
2)You keep your artistic integrity, only if you manage to remove the space magic explanations of the catalyst and expand into logical conclusions based on the whole concept of ME trilogy which was really coherent and honest to its technological/story lore.
You want to do this through IT. Fine. You don't . Again fine. But if you fail to correct the above 2 points there's no point in hell even playing the multiplayer. Be reasonable and stop hiding behind your ego.

Meh, space magic explanations are okay when they don't conclude in something that feels aweful i.e. destruction of the mass relays or the end of galactic diversity.
Bioware should've explained what the choices did more diversely, made the choices synthaxx with the choices made throughout the game, and had more logical tradeoffs - without using the Starchild as a medium.
So the Destroy ending should've been about destroying Reaper Tech, and only in this case do the Relays get destroyed (and, lets say, if you sacrificed the quarians, the Geth too, because of... because I feel like it should be so) as a symbol of relinquishing the Reapers completely.
The Normandy Marooned sequence can/should be cut completely, but they've made it pretty clear they won't change that. So it feels like they're going to ignore character focus completely.

They won't change the final. They won't add more endings. They will ONLY squeeze more info into the existing cutscenes , basically.
Mass Effect 4 will never exist. Thsi story arc is over, as they said over and over. Commander Sheppard 's story is over. There will be more ME titles, having this universe as base, but to tell other stories from that universe. Kind of like Resi 4, 5, 6, being one story arc, and Resident Evil -ORC being another different story in the same universe.
I'm willing to bet they are going to drop the RPG genre for this IP, and take permanently into the shooter genre.
That said, and with this in mind,, there are a lot of things they can do. Go back in time and make a game about the first contact war. Visit the Krogan Rebelions. The human war with the Batarians. There's a lot to pick from.
As for the DLCs for ME3, I bet you can count with 1 being the recovery of Aria T'loak 's Space station.
Another will surely be a confrontation with Harbinger.
The rest is anyone's guess.

Oh God, I hope they do a good job with the extended cut. I have my checklist of what I;d like to see it include. For me I want some scenes on the garden planet, with voice talent, that sum it up in a very personal way (especially if the love interest is there)
Many battle scene described above are good too. but for me it was that face to face stuff we got all along that gave this game such life and a reason to fight for something. I can play out scene in my head like I'd like to see them, but that's my slant on this. I hope BioWare does not assume some explosions and scrolling text will be enough.... If something like IT were true, even though I don;t like the idea of buying the real ending....I would feel better about things overall. The ending we got is still such a kick in the crotch just thinking about it

wth are you think EA and bioware ?
i'm extremely disappointed with the ending of MS3 as well as your reaction to our response to the ending of MS3. No combat gameplay from DLC ? Mass effect 3 ended just like that ? Nothing clear at all.
So let get this straight, where the hell is the scene from the trailers that shepard with allies attacked husks brutes on earth in daylight ? It was so emotional, so epic so wonderful and i really excited to play MS3 that moment. But what i got in MS3 ? Shepard and allies sneaked like bugs in mid night to take down a reapers, no allies at all, every troops i saw in the gameplay died in front of my eyes 2 secs after, so what the hell is all races, all galaxy, only shepards and 2 companions =)) omg this is ridiculous, so what's the trailer about ? EA you are liars, all you want is our money while you can not sastified anybody with MS3
bioware you should not continue co-op with EA anymore cause every game EA touched is crap. Look at deadspace 2, dragon age 2, crysh*t 2 and now MS3
EA worst company of the year, full of idiots !

I'm really hoping this DLC will show my war assets actually making a difference in the battle. Not just the same damn cutscenes show me different cutscenes based on who I brought to the battle!! Show me Wrex, Grunt, Jack, Kirrahe, Aria, Zaeed, and Samara totally kicking Reaper ass! Show me a few Geth Colossus and Primes totally owning a Harvester and have a Geth helping a Quarian repairing a turret. Show me a Krogan saving a Salarian from Marauder at the last second. Have a Rachni Brood Warrior pop out of the ground and rip a Brute in half! Show a Turian, Human, and Batarian all back to back frighting off husks. Show some Drell assassin's sniping in the back ground along with some Elcor living tanks!! Show the Merc groups fighting!! Have the Vorcha swarm a group with a few Krogan and trained Varen with them! Show me Eclipse fighting with Mechs giving fire support. Show me the Blue Suns lighting reapers troops on fire with Pyro troopers! Show me the military force I made mattered and isn't just getting slaughtered at every turn! I'm fine with casualties but show more kick ass before the reaper destroyer starts owning everything.
Everything else with the ending will be fine as long as they: fill the plot holes, clearly explain everyone isn't stuck on Earth and intergalactic travel and cooperation is still possible, and completely take out the Normandy stranded scene. As I said they can do whatever they want. WHATEVER. It just has to fulfills the above 2 parameters. The above 2 parameters can be found in all the customers' complaints. We ask for coherence, result of our actions and a proper logical and based on the technological lore resolution.
They have artistic intergrity but we have to save our intelligence integrity too and not allowing any "Bioware" insulting it.

Hey if you dont like the game then stop playing it. It is that simple. The whole I will never buy another Bioware game is just melodrama. I didnt like MGS2 but didnt stop me from getting the following two. I still dont like FF 13 but I will still play the others. So I dont know who you think your bull ****ing cause we all know if Bioware comes out with a cool game you will all buy it.
You really outdid yourself this time thana.
Basicly you're telling people to shut up and act like cashcows..
How insightfull of you...
The melodrama is purely caused by EA/Bioware not treating the product like what it is: A respectfull consumer product. If they had, they would have done things (both prior to launch, at launch and after launch).
If I buy a candybar and there is something wrong with it compared to what I was advertised it would be, I can contact the company responsible and I will either get a refund or they will replace the product with a non-flawed version.
Bioware, instead, claimed that there was nothing wrong, despite it being clear as daylight to everyone that they failed to deliver the product they said they were selling people.
