Agreed. I liked the ending but I feel this will be very well done and adress my very few issues with the ending.Garethj17 wrote...
I agree with you magnetite, i think they DLC will be good. but bioware also said that the people that wants to reetake mass effect ending wont like the DLC because its not a new ending, the DLC is going to show you the effect of your choices you made in Mass Effect 3 and also bring some closure to our sheps story.

Given the fact that your choices do not matter, that would be what i define a "change" in the ending.
So far only the war assets mirror my decisions. Keep that in mind.

An official press release went out today announcing how we are re-prioritizing the Mass Effect 3 post release content schedule to provide a more fleshed out experience for our fans. For many of you the "Extended Cut" will help answer some questions and give closure to this chapter of the Mass Effect story. Oh and it's at no cost to you - the fan.
Here is a mini FAQ to help you understand what the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is and isn't:
What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?
For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard's journey.
Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.
When will the Extended Cut DLC be available?
Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point.
Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?
Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard's story.
So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No. Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans? Very much so and we are responding.
Be good to each other and Summer is coming...
Only thing you boys have to worry about is: add some dialogue for harbinger when he is shooting at sheperd because at the moment the game feels the same as if vadar wasn't in return of the jedi.

But you did expect... this ending? You must be special.
Dont lecture me only because you dont like what you read.
War assets are an unsatisfactory solution to everyones decisions. If this truly is a thread about the Extended cut, than this is what i would like to be taken into account for the ending.
No need to bark on me like that!
I sincerelly hope Jack and her biotic artillery survive priority: earth, should they become part of it.

Because i paid attention since ME1.
After Priority: Thessia i thought. well that was kinda... short. When i saw the conclusion to not saving Jack, i thought maybe they had to cut the boss fight with Jack (and Legion) for a reason.
Maybe they had to cut corners to make the last Mission and the ending blow up in my face with the whole force of 1000 times Geth/Quarian conflict, Genophage cure and Suicide mission together.
You still own me an apology to bark at me like that.

My hope for the cuts is FIXInG of the most paynfully obvious plotholes, SOME sort of epilog, because stupid buy dlc mssg and Buz Aldrin talking to some kid is not epilogue ..and the possibility to keep EDI and heth alibe should i choose the red ending....not gona happen i know but guy can hope no?
I would hate that, myself. One of the best things about the ending is that you actually get hard choices, and the last thing I want is to see Bio let us duck them.

Except the endings didn't even do this effectively. It all goes back to that lack of exposition. The Catalyst just tosses on the line about "killing the Geth/Shepard" like he's trying (and failing) to pose a moral issue. But in the end, the player isn't forced to deal with any ramifications of that decision.
In the Genophage plotline, the player is forced to deal with shooting Mordin (and later Wrex). The Geth/Quarian plotline has you watching either Tali commit suicide or obliterating the Geth people. The ending doesn't do anything close to this. We don't watch the Geth die along with the Reapers. There's no Joker watching in horror as EDI is obliterated. The game forces the player to commit genocide, but fails to capture the despicable nature of the act.
