I can't see how can you clarify the Normandy blow-up. If the blast destroys its engines (even the Control/Merge, big surprise) shouldn't it f*ck up the other fleets as well?

Again, why on Earth is Joker flying away from the fight? Why he's travelling to another system (they end up on an unknown planet which is NOT in the Sol system).

This is a loss to "artistic integrity" everywhere... So Bioware will really keep a poorly written, deus ex machina, turd of an ending... and just polish it up. I'm disgusted by this company and Bioware will never see another cent from me.

True artists will admit when they screwed up by showing bad technique and WILL fix it, especially if the art is commercial. A bad artist will hide behind "artistic licence" to avoid admitting that their work sucks. So now it's absolutely clear what Bioware is.

I really liked how the Rachni were integrated into the final battle. All those soldiers swarming over the Reapers really gave me a sense that my decisions mattered, you know? I mean, you guys said a while ago that they'd play a big role in the final battle, and man, you totally delivered. The new DLC isn't going to, say, remove that and reduce the Rachni decision to a simple hundred points of war assets, is it?

I hope you have a damn good explanation as to why Shepard accepts the Starchild's logic and doesn't even attempt to contradict it despite having compelling evidence it's wrong. Because at the moment that just isn't flying.

Oh, and on top of that: if you want to respect the team's artistic integrity whilst pleasing the fans, there's a very simple way to do that: add alternate endings, but make it clear that the alternates are not canon and will not be reflected in the future development of the ME universe.

That way, the team's chosen ending is elevated head and shoulders above the others by virtue of being canonical, whereas people who really don't think it fits their Shepards can go for an alternate.

Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans?

Very much so.

Are we going to change the ending of the game?

No.

You may listen, but clearly you do not comprehend.

Good thing it's free, my queston is: Will it make the endings a bit sweeter than they are right now? A bit of happiness maybe? And since you defend "artistic vision" so much, will there by any future story DLC that take place AFTER all the endings? Like for example, Nornamdy crew trying to get off that planet they crashed on.

Sounds cool. I'm glad to hear that you are not "changing the ending" just to appeas the vocal minority. Maybe this will make them happy.

Ah...who am I kidding...some gamers will still complain. Either way, good Job Bioware. Kudos for sticking to your guns. Keep up the good work!

Oh bioware. I appreciate the clarity, but it would be nice to engage the fans on why your 'artistic vision' differed so much from pre-launch promises.

I think its great the DLC is free, and its taking precedent over other post-launch content. But hiding behing artistic integrity isn't going to solve the complaints in the game. People need an actual answer. I just don't see this as something that will go away with a bandaid fix.

Like I said in my previous post, this is what happens when a developer gets a big head, thinks a little too highly of themselves, and lets hubris win out over humility.

It was already statistically shown that people who liked the nonsensical ending were the minority, not the other way around.

This is yet another failure in the long line of Bioware failures lately.

No, this is not what we wanted, we don't want clarification to you're forced space magic, we don't want that starchild, and we don't want palette swap endings. We want actual distinct and differing endings, not clarification to what was already a terrible ending. Yes things need to be clarified from that ending but more importantly that ending should be changed completely. I believe I can speak for the majority of people who want the ending changed when I say that the current endings that you want to keep due to "artistic integrity" do not do the series or our character justice. To force us into the same ending regardless of our actions is inexcusable. On a much brighter note however, at least it is free, i guess that's something to be glad about :?

I'm starting to hate the word "artistic". Anyway, I'll wait and see how this goes, if it does make me feel more satisfied with the ending then good, otherwise I just won't buy any BW product again.

That would be great if they had any plans to expand the development of the ME universe.
All the evidence suggests they wanted to sell out some DLC with it or whatnot, maybe earn money of the Multiplayer "packs" system, and then announce the complete end of the franchise on a cliffhanger. Since that didn't become possible, they decided they'd expand on their endings.

Maybe their artistic team just refuses to make alternate endings? Ever since ME3 started and the amount of dialogue Shepard could have, as well as all of that novel stuff was included, "player choice" has become irrelevant to them. It's their "artistic vision" now, maybe they refuse to budge even if the whole company is going bankrupt because of them?

Writers. I mean seriously. What do you expect? J.K.Rowling wasn't exactly different.

While I disagree with your choice, it's yours to make. How I spend or support you further on, is mine to make though, and I feel I will not be supporting your future endeavors based on this decision. I'll reserve final judgement on whether or not I buy from you again after I see this extended cut, but if I feel what happens after the choice of control/synthesis/destroy doesn't live up to my expectations, you can consider this my goodbye to you and your parent company EA.

Best of luck!

Yes! And I definately loved seeing Kakliosaur riding Krogan fighting alongside Elcor who are armed to the teeth with heavy machine guns and rocket launchers!

It would really stink if all of that got turned into a numerical value instead.
