BioWare lied again. You did not listen to your fanbase, so I will never again throw my money in your face.
Anyway thanks for this awesome trilogy, I will just the pretend the last 5 minutes did not happen and you can keep your crappy "clarification" DLC.

Where did they lie there? They never promised to change the endings.

And it's FREE. Give it a shot.

They said, they would listen to us ;)
Do you really belive, that some cut scenes and a wall of text can bring any logic and sense to the last 5 minutes? I don´t.
Do you really think, that our choice will play out at the end, like they promised? I don´t
So I will just go with the Indoc Theory, pretend that the writers are genuises and add some scenes with my own imagination and with that, I´m fine.
Maybe I will get some of the upcomming DLCs (still have some BioWare Points left) but after that, they won´t see one penny from me =]

Depends on how many cutscenes & Epilogues. Jessica Merizan's tweets support this.

The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard's story.

If all they will do is add few flashback then it's gonna be fail in fail.
"We are currently working on DLC that will anwser few questions that was left unsolved in clarification ending...

Can we argue with the Starchild? Any new dialogue choices that scene?
That would help a great deal

It doesn't matter if you put bronze powder in a ****. It will be shiny, but it still smells, and is still a ****.

For me, the minimum they should do is rewrite everything after you enter the Citadel.

Better yet, rewrite the entire Earth Mission. Shows us our War Assets on the move, fighting, i wanna see my companions having a moment like Grunt had against the Rachni, i wanna see the STG, the Merc groups, the Geth, the Rachni etc.

The War Asset is just an almost useless number.

Technically there was three major different endings. No matter how close they were they were different. It follows the same route with ME1 have two crucial endings. Then ME2 has three main endings.

This announcement would make me feel a lot better if we weren't still throwing around the term "artistic integrity" like it were golden monkey poo.

This is pathetic. How many times do we have to say it?! We don't just want closure, we want an ending that doesn't ask us to pick a color.

So you hated ME2 as well, I take it? Never mind that ME3's endings aren't about picking a color.

you don't get it do you? The ending(s) screw everything about the series up. I respect your opinion, but we want something they promised, CHOICE. Player INVOLVEMENT. Not just walking into, a console with two batteries, a beam, and taking the gun and shooting a container.

I do not agree with the hating.

The ending was less than ideal, but if this DLC can flesh them out more and provide closure, then I am a satisfied customer.

+1

But if Bioware fails with repairing several of the ending's plotholes with this DLC, then they have managed to ruin one of the best sci-fi stories ever told. I hope that won't be the case and I will eagerly await this DLC, hoping for proper closure.

It would be to dumb to lie again now after all the drama that has happened. No one commits commit the same mistake twice.
I know there is anxiety but we can only wait and watch, that is the best that we can do. Also if she has made so many revelations then definitely she has got the green light from above.

Think about it, they can't try and deceive again. The DLC being  free seems to be a positive step.

And about that artistic integrity thing. Here's some definitions of the word integrity:

Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code / The state of being unimpaired; soundness. / The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness.

So. Bioware is telling me, that they want to protect their artistic integrity. Well, how about that: Your ending itself is the biggest middle finger of all. Not only towards the fans. No. Mostly towards the BioWare artists themselves. ME1, 2 and 99% of the 3rd Game had integrity. Everything worked. There was connection. The artistic integrity was intact. It was a believable universe, with believable characters and believable choices. And right in the end, all of that didn't matter anymore and you changed the Genre and tone of the game. It became childish (literally) and incoherent.

That whole artistic integrity argument is invalid.

I'll wait and see what the DLC is. Part of me thinks this might just be a sop to get us to buy other DLC, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. At least its free.

But can anyone suggest how clarifying the existing ending is going to help?

Deus ex machina. Starchild from Sheps dreams. Shepherd meekly accepting a blatant tautology that has only recently been totally disproven. Dying when no need to. Normandy fleeing. Relays gone to hell. Races stranded and dying. Clarafication of those wont make them any more believable, surely??

Why Not? Politicians do it all the time....

But I will give Bioware a fair shot. They havea bottom line to worry about

Sure, Shepard can see Liara again. She just has to live with the guilt of killing EDI and the Geth. No big deal.

Wow, why all the hate towards free DLC? I'm eager to see how Bioware attempts to remedy their horrible ending, and I wish them the best. At least give them a chance to fix their mistake before attacking them like an angry pack of Varren.

Oh wait, this is BSN...silly me.

Their mistake IS the ending. Adding "clarity" isn't fixing the problem.
If I insult you by saying "You're quite ugly." Then you get upset and I say "Let me clarify. What I mean to say is, comparing you to other people you are quite unattractive." You would still be insulted, no?

Nope she instead thought the Normandy and Joker had landed on Earth.

Not taking anything she says seriously.
