Maybe I'm the only person who is alright with this. I am not disappointed the ending, and I'm happy we at least get some form of clarity. Even if it doesn't build on the Destroy ending (the only logical choice, I might add), where Shepard wakes up in the wreckage, I really just want to know what happened to my squadmates. Oh, and Earth.... How about the galaxy as a whole?

Expansion to give closure and explanation = good
No new or changed ending(s) = bad - basicly means our choice through three games are still pointless and the ME universe is still destroyed no matter what option you "choose" at the end.

Still, frankly, a bit disappointed... but, I'll take a look at the new content, and if it explains well enough why nothing we did matters and gives good closure, fair enough.

Still didn't want to end my adventure by dying though, that depresses me more than anything.

So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No.

LOL, it is always ackward watching that one person that clings to their statements/creations/etc. even in the face of such overwhelming evidence/negative feedback/etc.  They know they are wrong, we know they are wrong, they know we know they know they are wrong, but they simply refuse to admit it.

Usually it is an honorable thing to adhere to one's ideals and beliefs in the face of adversity but when it is so obviously based on misguided notions that the act of continuing to cling to them so posseively even when they know better simply so they don't have to admit they were wrong, it  just becomes sad to watch. :?

Cinematics and an epilogue, no new gameplay.

ME3 already down to £17 on Amazon UK.....

so Amazon is having a sale on it.....So?

60% off after a month? It's discounted at a number of retail locations. Amazon UK is just one example.

Seen Skyrim lately? Still going strong at $59.99 American.

Indeed.  That's the point.  Why does ME3 drop in price so fast?  Make too many?  Or some other reason?

This. They specifically scrapped an idea of a final boss during the original development.  I doubt that they will put one in now.

Thank god for Bioware sticking to their guns. Completely scrapping and re-writing the ending not only would've been ridiculous (from a programmimg standpoint), but is the worst thing they could've done.

This "hey come here so I can punch you in the face again" response is the final straw.

We were listening, were you? Were you really? What were you listening to? Because if you were then you would understand that giving us more of an explanation of an ending that makes no sense is not what most wanted. We wanted an ending that makes sense, live or die, and that doesn't make it feel like a self performed root canal.

Instead we get a "We're sorry you're too stupid to understand what we meant, so here's more pretty pictures to explain it better." Screw you guys. This thing isn't even going to be worth the space it is going to take up on the hard drive.

I hope your "artistic integrity" (which you compromised many times before) was worth DLC and game sales in the future because I won't be paying for either. Just when I thought that you as a company could not do anything worse than you had already done, this comes out.

Congrats. You have outdone yourself..... in the worst possible way.

Very fitting that this is announced the day after EA is named the worst company in America. And wasn't an announcement first originally planned for tomorrow?

I am sure they became one of the largest game companies ion the world by
making crappy games..........Because it makes money means it is opposite
of a bad company...

No, they find companies that make good games and have a good fan following, buy those companies and start churning out sequels until the company loses it's fanbase. Then they give it a bullet to the head like Origin Systems, Bullfrog, Maxis, Westwood, Mythic, just to name a few...

Pretty much.  They just stamp their little EA label on whatever they can put it on.

This seems to me like EA wants some goodwill in their name, and what better way than to speed up this announcement right after the award they received yesterday?

Have to agree...can't believe they killed Westwood. It seems the only thing that is keeping EA even alive anymore is the sports franchise that they monoploized.

After all this I am through with Bioware and EA , Bioware ruined the only franchise I cared about and EA wants to slap an online pass on everything even single player games to squeeze more money out of people.

Heck I am more intersted in Vin Diesels new video game than either of these companies new releases now.

Cause no one buys things like the Sims and dead space and star wars and battlefield and sim city and need for speed and ect. ect. ect. ect. ect.

Sims is for casuals....seeing as how Bioware went the casual way I can agree with you there.
Dead Space 2 had a tacked on multiplayer because of EA ..same as ME3 and will be dead in a few months LIKE deadspaces. Also lots of backlash for DS2 as well...so yeah.
Star Wars...what what is coming out that is so special? Kinect starwars REALLY! You are using that game as an argument hahahahaha.
Battlefield ...well most fans are irritated at "Origin," So not as many people play as you think.
Need for Speed....I am not even going to say anything after "The Run."

I've never seen such a rabid defense for such a horrible company before. I think you need to rethink who you are defending and see how much destruction they do on a video game than defending them.

Sims may be for casual players (though I'm not sure what that means tbh -- I like the sims and I like RPGs and I mod both and while the games' goals are different, people spend just as much time and probably more money playing the Sims), but it's a huge seller.  It may be EAs biggest seller, in fact.  But, interestingly, EA has made changes to the Sims store that has really ticked off a lot of those fans who are willing to buy store items in an effort (I believe) to make a few extra dollars.

You know what f**k it
I'm out.
I could take the bad ending, sure, you can't hate someone for bad writing.
But I'm done with these PR statements that just boil down to "F**k you, were awesome".
I'll save my money for Valve from now on.

I thought you guys said this would be in addition to the previously planned content?

Please don't tell me we have to wait longer for DLC because these retake people did not understand the ending?  :-(

Would you care to explain the ending to me then, since I apparently didn't understand it....

Well, this is it then...

The company I once admired, that cost me hundreds of bucks and thousands of hours for the better part of two decades is finally and truly dead.

It was fun while it lasted, but these were the last 75 Euros you'll ever have seen from me.

Don't feed the trolls, if you look through his posts he's done nothing but try to antagonize anyone that didn't like the ending.

This! Its pretty amazing how Bioware has managed to ruin its reputation among its core fans in the space of a few weeks.

Well its offiicial.
I'm done.
There's no way they can extend the ending and still make it not suck.
Besides I already said I was never paying for what should've been in the game to begin with.
goodbye Bioware it was good while it lasted but you are no longer the company I fell in love with.

Edit:  Oops didn't see that its free.
Well thats a step in the right direction I guess.
