The problem they face is there is not one issue with the endings. There are 3, at least:
1. People want rainbows and unicorns. They don't want the relays blown up or anyone hurt and for the Reapers to go away and the galaxy to be swell. Those people are never gonna be won over short of the rainbows and unicorn endings.
2. People who want Animal House. This is the clairity/want to know what happened to my squadmates types. This appears to be who bioware is targeting to tell us that Garrus now runs a coffee shop and Tali is part of a vegan commune on Rannoch.
3. People who think the ending makes no logical sense. This can range from people who (wrongly) think blowing up the relays blows up the galaxy to the crowd that thinks the kill organics to save organics is awful logic. This group might be appeased if they flesh out the how and why of things but it doesn't sound liek this is the target group.
I'm in group 3 so I don't expect this to do mcuh for me.
Then again I don't get what the whole issue is. My game ended with Shep and Anderson looking out over the earth waiting for the Cruible to fire and end the Reapers. People keep talking about Sharchild, Space Magic and glowing elevators but that's just made up like the Matrix Sequels or Jaws 5. It never happened.
I agree... Though I'm not quite sure what you mean by Jaws 5 ( If it's Jaws the Revenge we may have to agree to disagree.) I think everyone should cool down... especially in regards to what the developers said they wanted to do vrs. what we got. Anyone who has played the Fable series after hearing the hype generated before their release can see the pattern.
I know that BioWare knows that they had better provide something amazing or... they may just be finished.
