Unless "expand on the existing endings" translates to expanding on what we have to offer the multiple varied endings we were promised, them I am afraid BW, you killed the franchise for me & probably won't be getting any DLC £££...

well I've just finished my second and for now last play through. I'll not be bothering with BW or ME3 untill the "summer" which is an awful long time away. I'll wait till then and see if this new content is any good, if not then bye bye.

I wish Bioware had not announced anything at this point. Because not even a FREE DLC as a compromise is good enough.

Except nobody wants what they're giving away.

I've got free bags of poop after I walked the dog... you want one?  It's FREE... so don't complain.

Simply put: I am (very) cautiously optimistic and will give you guys the benefit of the doubt until I see the results with my own eyes. Kudos for doing something (free) about it. Now, take your time and please deliver!

This is pathetic. How many times do we have to say it?! We don't just want closure, we want an ending that doesn't ask us to pick a color.

So you hated ME2 as well, I take it? Never mind that ME3's endings aren't about picking a color.

ME2 had almost countless combinations within the endings. I really have no idea how you can say this.

Have you seen it already? No?

Then stop the ASSUMPTIONS.

I'd comment something, but out of the 5 comments I wrote I don't think a single one has been responded too, so I won't waste more writing space.

I hope you have a damn good explanation as to why Shepard accepts the Starchild's logic and doesn't even attempt to contradict it despite having compelling evidence it's wrong. Because at the moment that just isn't flying.

+1000

This above all else was my biggest issue with the ending - my Shepard never accepted anything at face value, especially if she knew it to be wrong - but apparently it's ok to accept lame arguements at the end because its coming from a Starchild.

Unless the announcement is badly underselling the proposed DLC, then I doubt I'll be bothering with it, (or any other ME product - which is a pity because I had a few things in mind to purchase).

ETA:  I think the Bioware Panel at PAX just got a whole lot more interesting....(I really hope they didn't want to announce anything substantial - because I doubt anyone will be listening, or caring for that matter).

While I will try to refrain from too harsh of a judgement until release, I highly doubt this is the end of the controversy the Bioware/EA was hoping for. Either way your still stuck with dooming the galaxy into a new dark age and never seeing your friends and loved ones as is. All in all the ending seems to be a giant insult to what I feel is the spirit and message of the series, that is you can overcome any challenge, no matter how hard the obstacles or how long the odds. The only message I get from the ending of what should be the most epic sci-fi saga to date is that no matter how hard you try, no matter what you overcome, you ultimately have no choice, or control, your still screwed.

This does nothing for me and I suspect does nothing for a vast majority. I don't want clarification and closure with extended cutscenes and whatever other garbage they throw together. I want my decisions to frakking matter in the end. They can't explain all of this crap away. All this is, is a means to placate angry fans who say the ending is crap. Which it is.

Maybe the reason why it will be release in a few mouths and not in a couple of mouths is because they are making something in wich all of our important choice matters. So it must take time to calibrate every choices we've made.

Give me rationale for Project Lazarus first. Space Magic is nothing compared to that "plot hole".

I assume you also want an explanation of how the element
zero  works to reduce the mass of the thing, is not it?
I'm not in the mood for this kind of post now.

Is this an effort to convince players to hold off on trading their games a little longer? Smells a bit like that to me.

Also please someone at Bioware/EA needs to pay more attention to the actual fans and gamers, not constantly beating the drum for the amount of awards that critics have hoisted on a product that has upset so many previously loyal fans. I believe that the critical process in gaming reviews is at best substandard or suspect in many eyes. It is the gamers who actually invest in the product and have more real world influence in my opinion.

Guess you forgot about how many deaths can happen to right? Or that it was possible to get an ending you wanted?

I'm not sure why I was expecting for more, but there's just so much about this ending that can't be claifired in a way for it to make any sort of sense.

Well, except SPACE MAAAGIIIIC

Yeah. Arrogance and ignorance at it's best.

Tell you what, BW. Keep that stuff. I don't have to wait until summer to know that the extended cut will suck if it does nothing about this abomination of an ending. It's not artistic in any way, shape or form. On the contrary. If anything it's a rather disturbing rickroll.

PAX will be interesting.

I'm assuming nothing.  They said SPECIFICALLY they're not changing the ending.  They're going to make it more verbose, try and explain things better since we didn't "get it" - but they are NOT changing.

So it's your post that's irrelevant.
