Perfect. This is the absolute most any of you deserved.

I'm actually looking forward to this now.

EA states that the DLC will only be free until April 12th, and yet Bioware doesn't have a release date set yet. Um, yeah....

If you see the year...it's until April 12, 2014. Which is pretty far in the future. I doubt people will still be playing this game then if they don't add another option to the reaper-kid's 3 color choices. Which it seems like they won't, so sadness.

So, my Shep is still a war criminal.  Great.   Can't wait to see how a cut scene will make that better.

It is interesting to watch a company delude itself by believeing their own PR.

Yeah that pretty much crushed my hopes for any decent conclusion to this series.

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?

  • No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

Well.............this sucks.

So it's not playable?  And after two years, people will have to buy it?  Don't they realize that after all that time, they can just go to youtube to see the epilogue scenes?

I dunno, you might be better off just going here.

That thing is pretty neat, actually. I'm not above stooping to fan creations to get my fix. Consider the 50+ mods it always took to make Oblivion a finished, non-broken game.

Wait - that kind of puts this in perspective.

Then you're blind to your own mistakes. The ending was a failure on every possible level it could possibly be a failure.

That you cannot see this means you've lost the talent you once displayed. (Cue Sickboy: "You have it, then you lose it, and you never get it back.")

The Bioware I knew is gone. I was happy to give them my money.

This new Bioware? They do not deserve my patronage.

I'm not sure how you can clarify this. I do like that they're trying, and that they're putting out free DLC.
BUT the ending doesn't make sense, you can't "clarify" it because it's based on circular and flawed logic! Well, at least you'll get to know what the galaxy is all about afterwards, maybe, but you still obey the Catalyst, and hopefully you'll be given reasons to WHY apart from the "Players should speculate over what possibly happened here, because I'm not sure either" thing.

Soooo, with that rant over, it's still nice that they're bothering to fix it, and for free. I guess they do care on some level. Not completely, but on some level.

Hoookay. I give up. No more line-handlers for me. I'll check in every now and then to see if anything's new but I'm done with this. Will I download it? Yeah, mostly because it's free. Will it disappoint me? Probably. Whatever. Trying to fix this is like arguing with a moron, no matter how valid your logic, it won't matter because you're arguing with a moron.

Depending on who/if you romanced, part of the cinematics should cut forward abit and show Ash or Liara pregnant :)

Ash has to get a second job on the side at a department store for diaper money. Shop smart...

Lack of closure was the main problem I had with the ending to the game. I hated how it abruptly ended with no meaningful epilogue to tie up the loose ends and answer the questions.

So this sounds encouraging, at least for me. I'm going to take a wait and see approach.

You know how bad the ending was? It was so bad that not only am I not able to play ME3 again because of how bad the ending was, I can't even play ME1 or ME2 again.

A couple of deleted scenes and a few lines of text won't fix that

EDIT: Since it's free I'll probably check it out, but I've completely lost faith in Bioware now.

What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?

  • BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.

How do you add more clarity to colours ? Brightness ?

Gotta be something really awesome to really change my mind that this is still not what we had been asking, but multiple endings really based on our gaming experience, and not an A, B, C colorful ending..
