I had high hopes for bioware, we gave them one more chance. Sure it is free but...They were clearly NOT LISTENING! NOT LISTENING. Because it is free, I'll try playing it. But this is the end of the line for EA and bioware for me.

Yeah moving Bioware to the piratebay bracket, I enjoy your games but don't wish to support you monetarily.

Oh what could have been...

Oh well, guess it was too much to expect a quality solution from a company so infected by EA. Back to depression.

Slightly off topic, but those asking about the Apr 2014 date "offer expires" it is probably just some legal stuff to ensure that they don't have to keep the content on a server until the end of time. Don't read anything into it.

"free of charge"? Rly EA? Now theres the day I thought I never live to see...
Not expecting much from this, but I'll reserve judgment until said DLC is released. Honestly I'm more curious how many other DLC's will be released until "summer"...

There it is, folks. That's what they're offering. If you don't like it there's no reason to further voice your distaste. Just stop buying their products.

When Bioware lays in a mass grave with the other properties EA has murdered, I hope they'll know to look back to this moment and see that their fan base offered them this one chance at redemption and they turned up their noses at it.

So... Bioware wants us to be Genocidal? They want us to kill the synthetics?

They should have listened. The rage is coming. I hope they are prepared for the "You promised us 16 endings" card.

Indoctrination was right there guys. Right. There. You could have ran with it and fixed this, but nope. Wouldn't have been perfect, but even still. This may plug some holes, but it doesn't change the fact that the star child and all his reasonings are awful and the themes of the series are thrown out a window.

But yes, this doesn't fix anything. This just angers all sides, it's the worst compromise. If they truly believed in their vision, they should have come out, said so, moved on to new products.

Allow me to go mourn the loss of the Mass Effect franchise. Again.

Gonna be a long two weeks for the Witcher 2 DLC (Free actual gameplay content even!!!) to come out.

I still got plenty to do in Skyrim, Rage to finish, the DLC for Alan Wake, Rock Band 3, and a dozen other games from Gamefly....

There's a lot of people begging for my money, by making good games. Bioware used to be one of them.

You know how bad the ending was? It was so bad that not only am I not able to play ME3 again because of how bad the ending was, I can't even play ME1 or ME2 again.

A couple of deleted scenes and a few lines of text won't fix that

EDIT: Since it's free I'll probably check it out, but I've completely lost faith in Bioware now.

well then do it!stop talking about it!Don't buy anything they do,don't come to their forums...erase them from your mind but do it.
Don't buy the dlc.don't download the new free closure dlc.

Delete all three games from your HDD or sell or give away your xbox copies. But do it.

Because I see a lot of people here making empty threats whom I bet I will see in a few months talking about the closure dlc and future DLC and buying their games in the furute...

Many may download it but it wont change anything. The ending is terrible and no clarification can change that

Yep hate to say it but this was the final nail in the coffin. It gives the pro-enders ample ammunition to call us "entitled babies" now and Bioware can now say "well ya can't please everyone, artistic trolololol"

No shock here, I figured from the beginning that it would go something like this. :?

I do feel very badly for those who have more capacity for hope than I do and were holding out for something more. I will at least try to hope those who say they will not be buying from EA/BioWare again hold to that conviction. Won't be hard for me, being obsessive about how and where I spend my money and all.

We lost.

It seems everyone is losing in this if this is where it stands.  Bioware has been bought and sold it seems, Mass Effect will now be chopped up into crappy IP titles from EA until it resembles nothing of its former glory.

EA has made the egos of Casey and the like so big that they don't feel they owe the fanbase more than Casey and co sees fit.

It's just sad.

:? Now only if I wanted to play through the game for another extra 50hrs. :o I'll be jumping up walls with why do they need to add to it if they don't make a different outcome at the end?:crying:

I might come here to ask if the DLC or the next Bioware game is actually worth buying, or it's just more of the same rubbish we just got.

But mainly I'll be waiting for Wasteland 2 and the new Shadowrun RPG.

Guess I'll just get my closure here: shannon.users.sonic.net/masseffect/

At least the above offers decent closure that I can deal with.  I don't have much faith in Bioware putting out a better epilogue than the above.

That was.... amazing. A trillion times better than what Bioware did.
