Bioware's Indoctrination is complete, it's time for me to find another company to do business with. Farewell Bioware!

I have no ****ing idea what sort of cut scenes they'll add to the endings if they don't intend to change the endings or add a bunch of new ones... I'm not even sure what they could possibly write for the epilogues other than "everyones ****ed! Trololololol!"

... Kinda feels like this extended ending dlc is just going to rub the misery of the outcome in our faces even more. "Here kids, why don't you read all about how Joker's pimpin' it up big style, got your LI up the duff and watched as Garrus and Tali slowly starve to death!" "Oh and lets not forget all the races stranded in the Sol system, guess what suckers? Most of them died LOL! Enjoy your free dlc!"

**** sake.

There it is, folks. That's what they're offering. If you don't like it there's no reason to further voice your distaste. Just stop buying their products.

When Bioware lays in a mass grave with the other properties EA has murdered, I hope they'll know to look back to this moment and see that their fan base offered them this one chance at redemption and they turned up their noses at it.

Piratebay it is :) Cheers Bioware

But mainly I'll be waiting for Wasteland 2 and the new Shadowrun RPG.

Wait, what? A computer Shadowrun RPG, for reals? Or a 5th edition?

The very fact that they have to make an Extended Cut reeks of how terribad the ending is.

They need until summer to add a few crappy cinematics and an epilogue which will be the same for every playthrough - Earth is devastated and all life is wiped out once the citadel crashes, shepard + crew is dead (or marooned and dead soon), the fleet is stuck in the soll system forever... Quarians will starve as soon as they run out of fuel for their liveships, the turians in the soll system will also starve.

And I guess they're planning to feed us other paid dlc in the meantime and are expecting people to buy that? *Snorts*

No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise....

...Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game...

And with that my dealings with Bioware come to a close. If you call what we have art, then it is art I cannot respect.

Press releases are nice and all, but they still have yet to deliver on a fix for the ending. Will 'clarification' save it? I remain skeptical.

You know how bad the ending was? It was so bad that not only am I not able to play ME3 again because of how bad the ending was, I can't even play ME1 or ME2 again.

A couple of deleted scenes and a few lines of text won't fix that

EDIT: Since it's free I'll probably check it out, but I've completely lost faith in Bioware now.

well then do it!stop talking about it!Don't buy anything they do,don't come to their forums...erase them from your mind but do it.
Don't buy the dlc.don't download the new free closure dlc.

Delete all three games from your HDD or sell or give away your xbox copies. But do it.

Because I see a lot of people here making empty threats whom I bet I will see in a few months talking about the closure dlc and future DLC and buying their games in the furute...

i will do all that. my threats are not empty.

but i will keep posting. because my money bought the right for it. and... its irritate ppl like you. so its good.

Yes, check kickstarter. They're looking for money to make one.

Kickstarter is going to be the new way good games are financed.

Edit: they've already got quite a bit towards their goal and have tons of time left, I'm thinking we might get something really good!

what a waste of time, clearly didnt listen it was never about clarification, we got the ending, truly we got the bloody ending, for the love of god i am so done with bioware and no more money spent on there products as clearly words dont mean nothing. i guarantee money will hurt them more than words.

I don't understand how another ending option would compromise the artistic vision of the first three. The first three could remain untouched, and a fourth which follows fan-feedback could be incorporated as well.

BioWare has long claimed that the direction of the series involves fan-feedback, so if anything, wouldn't an additional ending be part and parcel with the vision they've established?

Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?

  • Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard’s story.

I do not understand how choices can be artistic. A game as a whole, sure. Soundtrack, sure. But not choices. Choice is a choice, ain't nothing artistic about it. It's like saying when a painter puts his clothes on in the morning, it's art. C'mon.

Soon we will be hearing of artistic statistics.

So in other words they still want one ending so that they can obey their overlords EA who want them to make this game more than a trilogy. I'm going to ask for a refund for my collector's edition and if I don't get it, I'm going to trade it in and buy a useful game from a company that listens to its consumers. IE Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition from CD Projekt Red.

Yep hate to say it but this was the final nail in the coffin. It gives the pro-enders ample ammunition to call us "entitled babies" now and Bioware can now say "well ya can't please everyone, artistic trolololol"

"Artistic Trolololol" is my new band name.

Jokes aside, if these "extended scenes" take into consideration my choices in the games as I hit the Tri-Colored Funnel I may bother to import my other Shepherds. I will be cautiously reserved and perhaps slightly doubtful about it for now though.

Yeah.... we lost. No amount of clarification will make up for the universe taking such a massive dump on my Shepard. And no news of a paramour cheevo pop for Thanemancers, or fixing that travesty that was the Jacobmance for those poor souls who preferred him.

Anyone working on alternate endings for the PC? I will totally buy a PC version if this is the case. I've only got my xbox copy for lulzy bronze runs as a vanguard,

What's more disappointing for me is that it doesn't like there's going to be any post-ending DLC.

Good luck selling future DLC, guys.

I never expected bioware to make new endings. I only expected them to clarify things like they said they would. But this confirms their artistic vision on how to end the mass effect trilogy was absolutely terrible. How the producers and writers could sit down and think that was a fitting conclusion to an amazing science fiction universe is something I will never be able to comprehend.

This.

How can you be proud of that ending!!!???

Can.  Not.  Comprehend.

So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No. Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans? Very much so and we are responding. Summer is coming…
