It's like gambling with your money but the reward you get can't be applied back into the real world, so if you win, you're still losing.

I've spent about $10/day for the last week to buy packs because it's busy season for me at work and I don't have time to farm. I finally got around to watching the youtube clip of the credit glitch. I still love MP and will continue to play but I refuse to spend any more real $ to buy packs. I feel like a moron for using real money. Don't get me wrong - I knew from the beginning that it's silly to spend real money for in-game items, however, the fact that people are getting millions of credits per hour with no repercussion somehow makes me feel even worse about it.

I actually like the feeling of progress... and spending money to immediately go out and get the best guns seems so pointless to me. I just unlocked the Mattock II and I felt so good when it happened. I don't just want 10 or 20 spectre packs and all the good shotties, sniper rifles, pistols, etc. I really enjoy unlocking them one by one and going out and trying them. That is the reward I get from this game... It is not from having all the best stuff right away.

yikes, save your money. you're not going to improve your odds of not getting character cards and piles of shotguns by using real money. Its there mostly to get your gold rares to X or mods to V

Why use real money on a game you already paid for?

Heck, Multiplayer is mostly about farming, why pay so you don't have to play the game?

N7s are SO rare that they are not even awarded in packs at all! infact they are only awarded if you complete the community events!

I am owning the gold with mantis on my infiltrator and predator/phalanx on my adept. Rares and ultra rares are not that important. Spending money to get them is wrong. what would you do if you got all weapons? be a better player? Not really.

I though N7 weapons were unlocked in spectre packs after getting it in the commendation pack.

If you like the game... what's wrong with spending more money on it? IE Bioware gets more money for expansions, etc

bioware spends your money at the blackjack tables so it works both ways

I have not been playing like crazy but have been playing a lot for me. Approx. 10 hours/ week (I have full-time job, wife, and 2 kids) and it is a perfect setup for me... Like I said I only have the Mattock II and I don't have any rare weapons except level I GPR. I do have some great characters unlocked though. I am really happy with the game, and I suppose I am the majority, and probably slightly higher than the majority of gamers. I don't think the system is set up very well for people who are playing A LOT like most of the forum users in MP.

I am always more amused by hate-talk on Bioware from people who I can plainly see have bought every Bioware game. "They sure are money-grubbers who don't know how games work, but that doesn't stop me from eating it up."

I spend my 6 million credits kept since 2 weeks and I was glad to get all gold weapons rank X. Now I'm keeping for a N7 package.
