I actually like the feeling of progress... and spending money to immediately go out and get the best guns seems so pointless to me. I just unlocked the Mattock II and I felt so good when it happened. I don't just want 10 or 20 spectre packs and all the good shotties, sniper rifles, pistols, etc. I really enjoy unlocking them one by one and going out and trying them. That is the reward I get from this game... It is not from having all the best stuff right away.

Exactly how I feel. No way I'll spend actual cash on this stuff. I'll be playing this game in the long-run, so I'm in no rush either.

Its easy to understand.  A game of any type that allows you to spend your real money to get a few goods will always have people spending money.  Because A farming credits can be a headach and time consuming event compared to the spare pocket change they might have to purchase a pack, and B they're busy in life just like A and have spare money.

I have spare money so I bought a bunch of packs and got nothing but its random so I can't complain.  However it is pretty annoying when you get toon cards over and over again of **** you already have maxed out.

That same logic could be used for ANYTHING. We all die, and none of us get to take any of it with you. So if someone wants to buy something you don't, more power to them. It's their money, not yours or mine.

And people actually complaining about people buying them. (not you) Seriously, who cares? It's the game, the devlopers made it not us, if you don't like the rules or the way it is no one is forcing you to play it, or BUY packs, so what sit on forums and cry like sissy girls about it.

Even though they're not as great as I thought the would be, I have gotten a few gems:

Widow VII, VIII, IX.
Paladin III.
Javelin.

Plus a lot of other weapons I don't use are near maxed. Geth Plasma Shotgun is at IX.

You realize for how much time it takes "to farm" someone could be earning a much higher level of income from a more stable career based activity, so criticizing people for unlocking stuff with cash is really a back fire.

Hmm I wouldn't pay money for them,in 3-4 games I get enough for a premium specter pack and so far I was quite pleased,specially that I got an Asari and a Drell just in one pack.

im pissed becasue i just spent 40 bucks on spectre packs just a few days before premiums were released. i got zilch.

then.....

i bought 2 premiums and FINALLY GOT THE CARNAFAX!!!! too bad i didnt know it gave me a 160 cooldown instead of the 200 i had with the phalanx. makes me sad, it was all really just a waste.

It's perfectly possible but not all that common in today's economy.

If you have the disposable income, more power to you. I personally enjoy playing 23-25 minutes of gold matches and getting 70-75k per and being able to buy a spectre pack after every match, or a premium spectre pack after two matches. Just feels satisfying to get them one at a time and working for it. But alas, I don't like shortcuts.

Do you have a hobby you put money into? Say getting drunk or snowboarding or bungee jumping? Those activities cost money and you still do them because you love it. So what if we have people who are putting money into another hobby they love: playing video games. Why are you condemning these people for doing what they love to do? It's their life and their choice. Just because you don't see yourself paying money to enjoy the game doesn't mean other people are the same as you.

So please guys, just show some respect for others.

Do gold, buy spectre pack after every succesfull match, carnifex is mcuh better then phalanx, you just got the tier1 version.

On tier V it gives 200%

That's why I think it's unfortunate peopel want to spend money on them. Just an opinion.

I'd agree if paying for bungie jump resulted in a 5% or even 1% chance for an actual jump and 99% for getting free coffee or a hug from the service provider.

I think the better comparison is Pokemon cards. As a kid I bought those damn things. Not all that different from these packs. Costs money, you don't know what's inside until you've already purchased it, and you're 98% of the time going to be disappointed that you didn't get a mother****ing Charizard.

people who are "tight" on cash like to act like they are better then us for "not spending rl money on a video game lololol" though ... they spent real money and BOUGHT the game. just because some one want to spend 10 bucks and get 8 hours worth of farming packs ... but you know 8 hours of farming packs is more productive then actually having a job and dropping a dime to just enhance your enjoyment

guess there people dont go to movies they just buy them to lol. stop judging or acting like your so much better because someone who is a casual player and has a job spend a few extra pennies .. not everyone is a full time video game pro living off mom and pops or school loans. I dont judge you because your cant spent a few bucks extra and i dont the other guy because he can.
