AMEN! This is EXACTLY what I've been trying to say, but noooo! Fan boys **** at me! They can't take that I disagree with them! Well guess what you idiots, you wasted your money on a game that scrapes the bottom in the barrel of accepting, like we all did, and yet you still swear by that Bioware is awesome? They might've once been, I don't know, but I sure as hell know that Bioware sets a standard MUCH lower then other game devs. Don't believe me? Go try it for yourself. This game is in my opinion the BOTTOM of the RPG heap.
Summoner is the greatest RPG of all time.

But have you played Summoner? No and you have no concept of what a waffle is.
Phrog it is adorable how someone that agrees with you is all good and right but those with a differing opinion then yours you lable as fanboys and idiots. It's just so cute I want to pinch your check and make googly sounds.
You're scary

And the screeching fan boys boil up from the sewers, like clockwork...
Funny thing how singing praises for the inspired NWN game concept gets you vilified later. I spent ridiculous amounts of time, money and effort on NWN and it was a great run, well worth every penny. To want more of the same enabling vision is now heresy among the new fanatics. It's amazing how sheep can be so easily, and repeatedly, fleeced. I, for one, intend to learn from my mistake.
Multiplayer functionality is now a standard for almost every game of almost every type now.
Hobbled potential - it's in the game!

'nother product of the console generation crying about every game needing multiplayer.

So, now it's over...
I have finished the game. There is no multiplayer and therefore no motivation to try to learn anything about the toolset (which is practically inaccessible anyway). .
This game box goes on the stack of other game boxes. No extended, community-based lifespan for Dragon Age, like there was for NWN. Bioware really dropped the ball and betrayed this former fan's trust and reasonable expectations - based on the long vaporware history and advertisements for Dragon Age. I wish I had known about the limited life before I payed for this. I certainly wouldn't have purchased the collector's edition.
Oh, yeah, there will be those who will vilify me for daring to be critical of a game they are stil playing, unthinking fan boys who will end up echoing my views in maybe another 20 or so hours, when they too finish the campaign and realize there is nothing more.
There really isn't anything left to do but clear the diskspace and wait for someone to show the initiative and vision Bioware once had. Of course, it's not like Bioware didn't know. NWN would teach any rational person what the customers loved, wanted and craved. No more of my money goes into Bioware's coffers until htey rediscover that vision.
Hobbled potential - it's in the game!

Do you really want multiplayer?
I mean what would the difference be story wise, whichis what the game is based on.
The portion of the game that the story was supposed to tell has been told, and all characters in thegame (NPCwise) will not ruin your story driven immersion into what the developers what you to experience thus far.
Multiplayer MMO's such as World of Warcraft are great, dont get me wrong, I played for about 4 years before the devs finally changed the game play to much for my liking, But if you go back to TBC for example YOU KILL ILLIDAN right, and vanquish Kil'Jaeden right? (I did atleast) with my 25 person raid group of players, but nothing happened that effected the outside world, in fact everything has stayed the same, and in 7 days if you go back guess who back?
By keeping this single player the devs can make the world change based on your actions, when somthing significant to the lore changes or happens that you cause, it will ripple through the game making the story telling ability just that much better.
And lets face it, you can beat multiplayer games, and after you kill the same stuff over and over, week in and week out just for some imaginary stuff, well ya.
Just food for thought.
