I agree, Im checking out

Damage is done, they can’t fix this.I won’t play until the summer DLC comes out then I will download and look at it but it just does not have the same feel or appeal ME has had the past 5 years now.

Not going to waste time or money on this anymore.

this tbh mass effect will remain broken forever, whats the point of playing it ever again, let alone buy dlc, knowing theyre not doing anything to the sucky ending.
i wasted 5 years playing this game to achieve a flaming dogturd on my hallway, bioware do it again, i expected it with dA2 after witch hunt flaming turn, but the mass effect team as well?????

casey hudson is responsible for mass effects demise and mediocrity way to go.
bioware is on its way thru the fail tree, hitting every branch on the way down, good luck....

back to bethesda, they actually listen to fans, not lie

BioWare doesn't care about its fans and it does not listen.

They are artistic bigots and I could care less if the company went under.

I agree, maybe we should just move on.

Sigh, every time someone posts this my soul dies a little. Bioware employees have been working around the clock (They have a 24 twitter account!) listening to all the garbage you have been throwing at them. They have been listening and they do care, this is a nice middle ground.

Between "listening" and "caring" is a significant gap.

Also, a twitter-account which acts like a spam-bot saying "Thank you for your suppport" all day long isn't an argument.

Well bioware I agree that you want to back your development teams art integrity, however it will also take a finacial toll and if that's the direction you wish to take then so be it. Just remember, before you got huge, that you actually once cared about your fanbase, but this does not disprove the saying "that every man has his price."

Not sure if its a middle ground. And the fact that they have employees working around the clock doesn't make the ending any better. If I don't like the product im not going to buy it. Simple as that. It's not like I bought their games for the sole reason of paying their salaries. I bough the games because I found them fun and entertaining. And when that changes im going to stop buying them.

And a clarification DLC doesn't change much anyway.
The ending is still a joke.

In the current ending Bioware shows you a turd, and the fans asks "wtf is this???" and Bioware says nothing.

With the clarification DLC its more like this:

Bioware shows you a turd, and the fans asks "wtf is this???" and Bioware says "it's a turd".

I've just removed all Mass Effect games from my hard drive. I've had enough with their lies and greed.
I'm really sorry to see what BioWare has become, and furious that the greed of the publisher can utterly destroy what was to be epic - and they don't give a crap either way. The money is in, and their will always be fools who buy it anyway.

I refuse to be one of them.

I guess it was naive to expect more than this, but I still had a small glimmer of hope through all of this deep down somewhere. Oh well, there goes my TOR sub and any future Bioware purchases, they're just not the same anymore, and haven't been for a while really imo. So disappointing, but after waiting almost a month, at least I finally have an answer.

I have already decided my fate with the Mass Effect series.
It will all end when the "Clarification" DLC comes out.

Thank you OP, I couldn't have described my situation these days any better.

The only sad thing is, the money I paid for the game - could've used it somewhere better, my fault then.
Never trust someone whos trying to sell ya something.
But hey, at least there are laws against direct lying...

I think i had enough... my life is getting worked up by some stupid game, really. Lurking here all day and waiting for some information about a game that clearly the developers don't care enough to be changed for the better.
I won't even make a wall of text to explain my greatest disappointment in the franchise. I think most of us need to let go and move on.
If i didn't care that much i would've probably loved the ending, but i do and i can't change what i'm feeling inside. I will wait until tomorrow to see what they say at PAX and then i will draw my final conclusion. But what's done is done and we can't keep "holding the line" forever and we won't be able to do more than we just did.

"-No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned."

So now you want them to argue with you? Bioware could have done nothing at all, but they obviously care as they are now puting in extra time and effort for free. Not giving you exactly what you want isnt not caring.

In a spectacular case of overconfidence they doom mass effect to mediocrity, or worse. They completely destroy everything that made the franchise interesting and somehow still think they've got a franchise left to make money on. Good luck clarifying that.

This one almost wishes he never picked up the first game. So much pain and heartbreak could have been avoided.

Will see how this "clarification" for bad writing turns out, after that, probably won't buy from Bioware again.

yeah, since they think artistic vision is more important for a game studio than consumer satisfaction, good luck bioware for their future games, call of integerity and massfield bad company

still, need to finish my insanity run before let it go

All they care about, all they address with this DLC, are their sales! They polish their reputation, nothing more. If they would have listened, they would know that fans don't give a damn about clarifying this ending.

Will be waiting for additional stuff they say around PAX but this does indeed sound like it is time to say: "goodbye Bioware".
Extending the ending does not fix it - it just lengthens the painful process and to just give me more information on the team and still forcing me to blow the entire galaxy into a new dark age, sending the team on some jungle planet and on top, either kill off my Shepard, force everyone into half-machine state, or have him/her breathe while never seeing anyone again is just ... yeah, thanks a lot, that will really help me -- not. This could have been great - but this is the worst choice from my point of view.

While I am somewhat disappointed by today's announcement, I am suspending judgment until I actually see what gets released. My first gripe with the ending was always that it made no sense whatsoever, and my second was that even if it made sense, it didn't fit in with the rest of the series, either in style or substance. I remain open to the possibility that if the first thoughts through my head are not "Did I just destroy galactic civilization and what the hell is going on with the Normandy?" I can overlook the pig in the parlor- namely star-brat.

That said if the new cut doesn't deliver, Dragon Age III will not make it onto my purchase list. This fling with Bioware has gone on for a while now, maybe its time to go crawling back to Blizzard and see if she will take me back.  But CD Projeckt is looking good tonight and has been eyeing me...
