I guess, even if they could tie in things like indoc theory without adding anything (and I guess Shepard breathing will remain a myserious hint forever in any scenario) it does sound terminally bad.Cogneter wrote...
http://blog.bioware....3-extended-cut/Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
- No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the
end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will
expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
This indicates there will be NO indoctrination theory in the DLC. Not if we stand idly and wait.
This is why this poll is so important. We have to show BioWare that their DLC as they have announced it DOES NOT fix the problems we have with the ending and we should URGE them to FIX those problems in the said DLC. It is not over, which is why we must act before it is.
[POLL] Is "clarification" DLC enough?

It really depends on how much "clarification" they provide us with. For me, reuniting with the Tali and the squad are the only things I really want, so, if they do that, I'm satisfied.

Can "clarification" change the ending for the better? At first glance, I'd say no - but I'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Darklarke's FAQ, however, were pretty much a slap in the face of the whole "Retake"-movement.

"Must" be changed is a bit too much, but if BW takes feedback seriously then it would be nice if they are considering it. The "closure" solution is not one I am waiting for, because the current ending has nothing to do with the rest of the series. In fact, ME3 is one huge closure with one farewell after the other. An endless number of cameos dipped in a funeral atmosphere. Instead of an ending which proved the funeral sauce wrong, it was nothing more than over the top forecasting of a doomed galaxy. Still, the game is worth playing up until Anderson dies. I just wished the ending wasn't as alien to the rest of the franchise and that it included endings in which your decisions throughout the franchise would matter. In the sequels of both DA and ME BW has shown that their weakest point is continuity. ME3 was no exception.

I believe that foreshadows pretty much everyone picking Destroy ending. So why exactly did we need those lots of EMS to get the Synthesis?

It really depends.
Clarification could be anything from a complete token effort to something that satisfies me completely.
Much as I dislike the endings; I am going to keep an open mind. Perhaps they can clarify them into something less berserk.
The deal-breaker for me is this, though; Shepherd got up, and she's alive. That has got to mean something significant. If that isn't clarified to any great degree, then it's an incomplete job as far as I'm concerned.
Still, I'm going to be optimistic until I play it.

I say yes. For me thats what I needed. I need to know what happend post colorful blast.
Are the relays, and with them galactic society, forever gone or can it all be rebuilt?
Is my crew ok? Will they leave that jungle planet? How?
Shep, lives? Reunites with crew and LI?
Aliens make it home? How?
If they answer these I will be content.

So far we have no idea if it's gonna be ok or not,I say we wait until this thing is out, test it,and if it's still as retarded as godchild maybe try to do something again, although clearly it's not working...

There's no way to properly answer that poll without seeing the content of the DLC firsthand..
For all we know, they might not only add content to the end, they could also be adding information about the dream sequences and such, so we don't have a character that appears out of nowhere 5 minutes before the end..

Clarification=content that was probably on the disc already and cut due to laziness and proof that we as fans were too stupid to understand their "artistic integrity" and now they have to explain it to us like to little kids.

As far as I am concerned, the original endings are bad.

From the moment Shepard rises on the luminous platform, this doesn't make sense at all, unless you consider the ending is something copy/pasted from another game (Deus Ex Revolution? Super Mario?). The colored choices are based on space magic, and adding colors will not change that.
So no, I don't believe the new scenes coming this summer will change anything. I still hope so, mind you. But hoping and thinking is not the same thing.

Strange. For other games, like Splinter Cell: Conviction, the story was mostly linear, and no real choice was offered (unless you count the order of torture action, which can be cathartic, but still, doesn't count as choice for me). Still, I liked the end, and the game left me with a very good impression. For Mass Effect, the end was so unlike the remaining of the games it feels like a frankenstein graft of a zombie member on an otherwise healthy body.
I finished the game one month ago, and appart some "replays" to show the endings to friends, or multiplayer to raise the EMS to 100% to retry the end, I have still to replay Mass Effect 3. Which is unprecedented for me, when playing Bioware games.
Strange thing, for the most expected game of 2012 to make me wondering about starting again a new character on... Fallout 3. The Broken Steel DLC apparently enables us increase the level limit to 30 (which was why I stopped playing, after being decimated by some monsters while being level 20), and, as a bonus, apparently changes the end (that I never saw, because of the level 20 cap...)

Where's the option ' I don't care' whether they changed the ending or added more cutscene.

Compared to the original poll which had IIRC 92% of people disliking the ending, now we have 81% still completely unsatisfied.
It doesn't really seem like their announcement is having the desired effect in the early going.

BW #¤%&/ up. They just don´t have the humility to be big enough to admit it.
They keep throwing BS in the faces of their customers.
No it´s not enough. The so called 3 colors are pure drivel.

No, it's far from what was needed and far from what the fans wanted. This is the cheapest fix they could come up with and they're spitting in our faces.

Why is it people are mad now about the endings not being completely changed. Ray said this in his statement back in March. Did no one believe him or something?

If the new ending sequences are different based off of player choices I will be happy. If they are generic and disregard player choice, no.

We don't know in full detail what this DLC will be so I can't vote if clarification is enough.
