Mass Effect 3 is not a piece of art to be put in a museum, its a consumer product subject to the laws of demand. If we're not happy and threatening to leave you in the dust, you as a company are making a really bizarre and unprecedented choice to just.. what, ignore us? Where do you think you'll get money from?
Ugh, its a sad day when all of our fears are validated and BioWare truly has lost its soul. There was a time when they actually cared what we thought. Now that vast sums of money are involved, why should they care what we want? All of their stupid ideas are great, right?
Yeah, no, you were so well-known and of such good repute because we made it that way. Because you were giving us what we wanted. Your talents as writers only matter so long as you're writing things that make you money.
Change the damn endings!

And I don't think BW is only going to do that, but they made a mistake in what news they released today. They should have openly said what we can expect, not make cryptic remarks.
Not storywise, but content wise.
Seriously who thinks about their press releases? They are always terrible.

If it's nothing like that, then I won't accept anything other than a full rewrite of the ending, creating a coherent narrative with wildly divergent endings. And you can bet your ass I'd be willing to pay money for a rewritten ending.

If by "clarification", you mean something explaining that the star child never actually existed, Shepard didn't suddenly become a moron, Joker didn't abandon Shepard, and your squad mates didn't actually teleport onto the Normandy, the relays didn't explode, the fight isn't over, and the pedophile grandpa was actually a throwaway illusion, then sure, I'd probably be ok with that.

YES!! Thank you, precisely how much I feel about this.... I just don't understand how you could possibly screw up the last 10 minutes of the game? Seems like the writers gave up, and forgot about what the hell we were fighting for since ME1. Seriously the sole ****ing purpose of the trilogy was to Defeat the Reapers, save the galaxy and its species, as soon as that starchild POS pops up this is all thrown out the window.

The problem is, that we don't know exactly how Bioware/EA plan to define "Clarification." I've said time and again it wouldn't be enough, but now that they say that's what they're going to do, I realize I don't really know what they intend. Yes saving the relays would be a "change" but in the scheme of things relatively minor (with the right contextual explanations). For me, it comes down to whether or not Bioware/EA is married to that outcome. If they are, I'd prefer to know ahead of time so I can walk now. If they are not, I might be willing to give them a pass, but I'll need to see what they're up to to make a decision.
In any case, it seems like I'll need to wait for a significant period of time and I can't say I'm happy about that. It goes without saying that I will not be purchasing any sort of Omega/Pre-End DLC until I know what the score is. I'm less clear however on Multiplayer DLC and if I need to hold off on that as well. I really don't have an issue with that aspect of the game, but I worry that I might nullify my protest of one side of ME3 by supporting the other. Oh well, if this is all I have to worry about these days I should consider myself lucky. We shall see.

This one cannot imagine a scenario or explanation which might adequately explain the maligned endings. It respectfully believes that application of additional logic and clarity to an illogical creation cannot succeed.
What that one said.

Because some people actually LIKED the endings, there's no way they would have changed them. So, clarity DLC is the best we can hope for. I'm open to a positive resolution -- we all just need to wait and see.
12 vs 1000...
You know, I think that if they changed the ending, the rage from the few would be drowned in the giant praises.

Clarification and closure could mean:
* Giving Shepard a chance to question and investigate his choices before walking the fatal and lonely path
* Showing what happened to EDI and the Geth
* Showing the fate of the Normandy's crew before, during, and after the crash landing
* Showing how severe or manageable the consequences are of the destruction of the mass relays
* Showing that the ending was not a dream, or if it was, selling it better
* Giving some purpose to the awful Stargazer coda
and, the big one,
* Showing the individual and cumulative effects and fates of the War Assets, including how they mattered at all.
If Bioware's DLC offering does the above, then I can accept the star child's sad and silly A/B/C choices and just say the ending "wasn't my cup of tea."
