This has gone too far. You're now sabotaging this company.

Stop being such overzealous fanatics. Seriously, 'yall have lost track of what you're fighting for. You've stopped being sensible.

Choosing not to buy a product from a particular company in a free-market is the action of an over-zealous fanatic?

They've destroyed my trust in them as a consumer, that's their fault not mine. They are running a business, if they don't see the need to "actually" listen to their fanbase and hurt their business as a result - that again is their fault.

Companies are not entitled to peoples' money, they have to earn it. Up until recently Bioware had been doing such a good job that I trusted them implicitly and would happily preorder everything they put out, for me that stopped definitively today. They will not see another penny from me, and as a disgruntled customer I will generate a certain amount of bad word of mouth - but that is not sabotaging the company, unfortunately they've done that themselves. Sabotaging them would mean I was actively trying to hurt them, not buying from them is simply not supporting them (and in my case hoping they learn from their mistakes - but I'm doubtful of that now).

Whatever the outcome, I hope the rest of the industry has learnt from this debacle. I had hoped Bioware would have learned already, but unfortunately they've chosen to take a more arrogant stance.

Listen, being a single person holding *all* the wallets seems a bit unrealistic. Why don't we split the profi- I mean share the burden equally?

EA/Bioware has lost me a paying customer.. they aren't worth my time. Mass Effect is a great series I will continue to play it time to time.

Who among you will never give Bioware another dime?

SIGN IN!  SUPPORT THIS THREAD!  SHOW BIOWARE WHO'S BOSS!

When I finished the game back in early May, I began my boycott of BioWare/EA products. I quit both of my SW:TOR subscriptions and will never again give BioWare/EA money unless they fix this mess - for free - as an effort to attempt to regain their customers.

To date, they have treated their paying customers as if we owe THEM for being fans.

Hold the wallet!

Seems to me that if people stop paying for games, companies will have to make that money elsewhere, and history has shown that elsewhere is DLC and online passes....

Just move on to the DA3 forums once the game is released.  Those of us who don't buy it won't be able to post their, so you can live your insular little life just giving money to EA without ever questioning the product you are getting in return.

Until you see these same faces posting there too.  Kind of like how we see the people who posted in the DA2 forums that they'd never again buy another bioware product posting here.

I like how people are like, "That's it. I'm done with Bioware and their games!" Why waste your time typing it down for the world to see? Honestly, who cares? If you're going to abstain from both EA/Bioware's games, then do so...quietly. Complaning or protesting on a forum that's run by Bioware won't do anything. No, really. It won't. Anyways, 10 minutes haven't ruined my appeciation for ME3, the ME trilogy, and Bioware. But, of course...my opinion doesn't matter neither. Good day. :)

Sorry, but when have boycotts ever been done quietly?  That kind of misses the point: we want EA and BioWare to know why they lost our buisness so they can do something to win it back.  Thats how much we care.

I will never again preorder any title from either Bioware or EA and I certainly won't be paying extra for a collectors edition from either company. If I purhase any thing from either company ever again it will be well after release and most likely from a bargain bin.

First time poster, I've withheld my dissappointment until now.

Honestly. That has been my stand from the beginning. They lost me as a customer from purchasing DLC or future products based on the results of ME3 . I was already deceived once by false hype and claims of what to expect of ME3, not going to happen again.THEY have to win me back if they want my money. So it's simple, fix it and I'll spend my hard earned money on your products. Don't fix it, I spend elsewhere.....

This one is holding the line with the majority. Those of who didn't like the endings and don't like what the upcoming DLC is supposed to do, why would you want to support a corporation like EA, and unfortunately BioWare?  What about the launch day DLC?  What about being forced, FORCED, to use Origin just to play a fricking game?

Everything leading up to this boiling point has been a slap to the fans really, old or new. It's nice that they will "extend" the ending for free, but in the long run, it doesn't change much does it? None of this promised 16 different endings and whatnot.

Well hurt them where it counts. Your money is better spent elsewhere. At the very least, any EA/BW (EA first is intentional) future games should be bought from the bottom of the bargain bin.

I'm happily in on this. My money's not for you anymore, Bioware.  You just don't "get" it.

Well, the "clarification" DLC is free but as of right now I'm not planning on buying any of the story DLC unless the "clarification" pulls off a miracle and somehow fills the plot holes and straightens out the circular logic.

Here's my statement on my Star Wars: The Old Republic subscription cancelation:

"You may thank BioWare's reaction to the Mass Effect 3 ending. I do not feel as if I should be finantially supporting a company that defends its so called 'artistic integrity' and 'vision' above such a strong display of desire of the fans, to the point of loss of compromise.

I feel that it is necessary to remind BioWare and Electronic Arts that they are in the service of producing video games, which, while containing art and can have artistic leniency, is ultimately a product designed for their audience, not their artists and writers.

In a medium that is notorious for allowing multiple endings, I cannot follow, nor support, a string of logic that believes that in this day and age, creating such endings in the face of such demand is to be beyond the realm of compromise.

It saddens me to conclude what would otherwise be considered an enjoyable business relationship, however I feel that I, as a customer and member of the community, am no longer valued. Therefore, I cannot give any future monetary support to any of BioWare's products, including this game.

I know my individual impact may be negligible, however it is my hope that it can be a part of a larger impact that may cause them to re-evaluate their business policies in the future.

Thank you for your time."

Civil, clean, to the point.

They can listen or not, they can even disagree or not, but in the end, it's my money that has the last word, and I've made my decision.

I will enjoy the paid DLC content vicariously through You Tube. And play the game again only to weigh in the free DLC they release to try to 'clarify' the ending.

Once, I was against the ReTake movement and what it stood for. I even said that the playerbase could use a bit of thinning out so they could better focus test their content. Now, I'm part of that base that's leaving.

Hope your intangible sense of 'artistic integrity' was worth it, guys.
