my wallet. they must not get it. this is my wallet, with my money...my owning...my precious!

welcome to the group - you get +1 for making me

just doing a soldier's job!

When Bioware released the ending, we held the line.
When Bioware stated this would be the only ending, we held the line.
And after all but 1 of us have fallen, and Bioware tries to advance into new games and new franchises. WE. WILL. HOLD THE LINE! (and wallet)

now onwards, to victory!

I'm happy they're at least responding, and giving us something free instead of paying for it. But the past 3-4 statements have had artistic integrity/vision in them and that is an argument that is not winning.

I will be waiting to judge the extended cut dlc, and make my judgement then. I don't expect it to really fix anything and blow me away though. (I was one that wanted to build that house on rannoch with tali, but w/e beggars can't be choosers)

So I'll be keeping my money's artistic integrity!

Consider me joined. There are other ways to play bioware games than buying it from them eg borrowing it from a friend, buying second hand etc. but I'm not paying them another penny, not for dlc, not for expansion, not for a new IP as long as they're with EA. one of the most hated publisher in my heart.

Mmm... That's it BW. You lost another customer. I got the cash, but I ain't got time for developers who disrespect their customers.

Hell, there are whole lot of companies who DO respect the customers. CD Projekt, Bethesda... I hope you guys have room in your bank vaults.

I'm holding my wallet but they're offering me free DLC.

I'm allowed to download that right?

the point of this is that we refruse to pay, after being scrwed over several times in a row. if they try to mend that through free DLC, be sure to download it and see if they succeeded. however do keep in mind that 'better' is not good enough. Mass Effect 3 and all of it's denizens deserve more than death on a cold, devestated planet while the entire world they knew crumble arounds them

tl;dr, free is fine, no paying

I don't see why not.  They can't try and regain our loyalty through free things, but if they don't address our concerns, just don't give them money for anything.  I tried out the MP last night and it was fun.  Will I give them any money for anything related to it? Not until I get my promised ending variety and something that makes sense

Well yes, we'd be stupid to tell people not to.

Exactly, it's not that giving it out for free isn't appreciated, it's that they're still ultimately being stubborn about their "vision", and trying to get us to accept a problem, rather than actually correcting it.

I do think that is why most of us are pissed in the end, Bioware simply doesn't admit they were wrong. and for PR's sake they uphold their 'artistic vision'. Personally, that means for me that Bioware can sell games to their PR-team, i'm done with it

Yes exactly, it's not customer service, it's "customer is wrong, let's do this to shut them up without actually giving them what they want"

And to me, that is unnacceptable.  They need to stop trying to shut us up, and start trying to actually fix the problem.

They can also sell their games to the professional reviewers. It seems their opinion is more important than the one from the people who pay for playing.

Anyway, for me it´s not about holding my wallet. Unless the ending doesn´t stop feeling like the end of the galactic society, I see no point in story DLC. Take the rumored Omega DLC, without its Relay Omega´s status as economic hub is lost, so why bother in taking it back?

Exactly. Sadly, when a company looks at PR, they always seem to see that accepting that they got it wrong is a bad thing. If anything it makes them look better! If Bioware were to hold their hands up right now and say "Yes, we screwed up the endings, we're going to give you what we promised at no extra charge as soon as we've got it ready" I'd be a lot happier with them, and i might actually be tempted to replay the SP - since earning my platinum trophy for it, i've not touched it once - the endings just killed the replayability

exactly. even now that is still an option. Just a short post saying 'we ****ed up, sorry' would be enough for me. I'd still be wary, and take a good look at the first few upcoming games they'd release. but atleast I know they would take use seriously. both my trust and my respect however wanes with every day that goes past without that apology

that apology MUST however extend to apologizing for the lieing, the beating around the bush and for not manning up in the first place.

Do that, give me a different ending. happy me

Honestly, if they never listened to fans, or altered anything based on fan feedback, I'd not give them any hell over this "artistic" crap, because then I'd have to admit it's consistent with company policy and actions.  As it stands, it is very inconsistent with both.

You expect everyone to believe you wont buy EA/Bioware products in the future when you guys can't even leave Bioware's forums? The more noise you make, the more you put Bioware and EA on the front page of articles. free press is always good press.

You know how many people petitions Starbucks for not believing in gay marriage? You know how many people petitioned walmart for being christian? You know how many people petitioned stores and brands for being against the people in SOPA? A lot. Do you know what it accomplished against these companies? nothing. they moved on, made millions and those people who were so angry? caved in and still bought these things eventually because frankly, there is never enough to make a dent.

If anything things like this hurt the things you love about the franchise. You are giving the sign to EA that you don't seem to like franchises like Mass Effect or Dragon Age so they will cut off all funding to Bioware and force them to make more first person shooters and sport games. (Games that are pretty much mainstream and get the easiest fastest buck) I also I highly doubt that 400 people are going to be keeping their word on how they spend their money and on what products.

Constructive capitalism =/= bigotry and social anti-progression, just so you know.

Also, it's not about making things change, it's about making other companies not wanna lose business by calling "Artistic Integrity"

At this point, I don't expect **** from EAware.  But I do expect that if the bottom line is effected, other companies may take notice and decide not to go down Bioware's path.

Part of the groups purpose is to serve as a bonding mechanism that keeps people from going lax over time.  You are right that we can not figure out whether or not they will keep their word, but why not try?

Another thing, EA has been on the decline for years. Losing respect left and right, being less and less the face of progressive gaming. No matter how big a company, stir up enough **** and companies WILL topple

I sent my ME3 back to Amazon yesterday, was going to keep it until the free DLC but I do no tsee how clairfiing soemthing so bad will help.

Thanks for ruining the series BW (Hudson/Wlaters who ever came up with that aweful ending.)
