Thats not true. On the BSN the formost fact of all IPs is finding something to whine over. And then whining over it as much, as often, and for as long as possible. The people that do actually leave will only be replaced by even more whinier people.Dia2blo wrote...

Seriously people need to get over it. Also, keep your money, at least there won't be as many "entitled" people whining when the next little thing that doesn't please them happens.

I love sheep like you. Bioware and certain video game sites toss out the word "entitled", and you just parrot it back. You can't think for yourself.
So jumping on to the bandwagon of raging at a developer who doesn't deliver on "promises" makes you any different?
If we were to demand changes in every such situation, Peter Molyneux would have made hundreds of DLC endings by now...
Also yes I realise my comment was slightly petty and perhaps I shouldn't have come into this thread at all; i'm just shocked that people are still raging about this and starting "movements". Seems childish at this point is all. You can't honestly expect them to change the ending.

That one. Where fan speculation made up 90% of the postings afterwards about how the fans got controlled by Bioware. The panel where they ........... shock and suprise ............ actually did discuss the ending and the Extended Cut DLC?
Because if that's the one then abso-abso-lutly they blanket banned every aspect of all things ending related.
Bioware picked the questions to answer, if I remember clearly. An officer from our movement was trying to ask them questions online in a chat room directed at the PAX pannel. He was banned for asking about the ending, and others report likewise. His comments on being banned from the chatroom are within this very thread, I believe.

It's obvious you're convinced that everything Bioware does is right. Personally, I can accept that you disagree. But let's be honest about things, with the majority of people being there to talk about the ending, and wanting to talk about how extending the ending falls short, and very few, if any such questions getting through, you can't blame people for saying PAX was rigged.
No one can prove beyond a doubt that it was, but it seems extremely likely.

A "special edition" ending, an alternate ending, is what most paying customers want. The ending is just plain awful. People have never complained about the end of the game as much as they have about this one. I don't think it would set a precedent where people would whine and moan everytime they didn't agree with a narrative in a game -- it's just that this is an exceptionally atrocious ending to three fine games.

Is it really childish to feel that as a customer, you should have a say, and not simply get an agenda geared towards making you accept what you don't want (the current ending in this case)?

Of course I feel that we should get what we want... To an extent. There is the old cliched saying that "the customer is always right." (or in this case the consumer.) However in my experience that's not entirely fair, as you can't cater to every customer's wants and needs.
At the end of the day, if, in your opinion, Bioware ballsed up the ending... So what? That sucks, woops! I'm pretty sure they're feeling it now and at least they're bothering to make DLC at all. Perhaps i'm being brainwashed or some other crap but I just don't understand why people are still worked up. Yes, it shows that people love ME and are passionate blah blah blah. At the end of the day though, it's just the way it is. Obviously Bioware thought they were being clever by encouraging "speculation" but instead they just annoyed everyone. The end. Oh well. I'm sure they won't do it again considering the backlash it's caused, so not buying any future games is in reality just going to stop you from getting a lot of potential enjoyment out of what i'm sure will be some awesome games.
Seriously, ten minutes of "bad" ending doesn't stop me from loving KOTOR, DA, JE and ME. They're all awesome games.
Again, i'm probably a fanboy or agent of Bioware... Or whatever. Or I just don't care that much to not spend money when it just seems redundant.

Bioware has done a great job. Because the people that should be able to argue differently can't be bothered to come up with anything that is based on semantics and pedantic rantings. Save a very small and very select few number of posters who get zero thread traffic.
People who rely on sensationalism to get attention for what they are trying to push generally don't have a valid reason to push for anything.

We do not make threats.
We are a group of intelligently minded people who have realized that the most direct means to gain the attention of Bioware and EA is to "vote with our wallets."
This group is a group of people who have decided to withhold hard-fought dollars in light of the mishaps and fumblings of Bioware as a whole within the last several years.
And yes, I think this movement will achieve more than anyone expects. We have some very big plans for the future of this movement. Those plans will only serve to draw more attention to our voices from the Gaming Community, Bioware, and even the Media at large.

Suppose that each member decided to boycot two future games for Bioware, with each game costing $70.00.
TOTAL LOST REVENUE TO BIOWARE/EA:
($140 x 600members) = This movement, in four days, has the potential to cost Bioware $84,000 bucks!
Also I don't understand what the need is for a new movement. You can't play nice with the old one?
And what occurs in 4 days?????
I'm sorry, I didn't clarify. Our movement here has only been in existence for four days, and has totaled nearly 600 members.
I
grant you that the number of lost future revenue is probably lower than
that. I'm a reasonable person and what you say is logical.
As
for the needing a new movement: We have tried everything. Everyone has
tried to give Bioware feedback, yet they still continue to ignore us
and thumb their noses at us. I created ths movement because it holds
the most potential, out of everything, to get Bioware to pay attention.

in that case, be so kind to give us some footage of Bioware discussing the endings, no? ok, how about naming anyone, just 1 person, who can testify that he's been there, and clearly heard Bioware openly and without bias discussing the answer. another no? how...disappointing
now I will give actual proof:
"Our PAX panel will not be discussing the issue in any further detail than today's announcement" -Jessica Merizan
today's announcement:
'The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned'
even though over 65 thousand people already proved in a poll that the ending ITSELF had to be changed, that is not even mentioning the hundreds of thousand of people that made topics and post on the subject
proof #3
'Anyone posting a personal attack on staff, moderators or other Community
members will, at the sole discretion of staff or moderators, be banned
from the BioWare Social Network without notice and is no longer
welcomed.'
Look at the so called 'we are listening' topic. Plenty of hating, name calling and personal attacks on Bioware and Bioware employees by the less civilised members of our protest
so...strange, that apperently Bioware forgots to check these posts time after time again, however DOES read the entire topic. Sound perfectly logical to you, huh?
