i'm not only declaring an embargo on bioware... i'm not buying anything from EA (not even on discount from steam) until ME3's ending debacle is resolved to my satisfaction

its kind of sad that my first foray into the realm of fanfiction was sparked(more like forced actually as i needed to rewrite it) by the ending to a bioware game.... its also sad that i believe i've done a better job than professional writers did with what we got, anyway, ive added myself to the chorus of voices who are holding their wallets

yep, she works now :)

EDIT

You get +1 for a great ending (take note Bioware), and an extra +1 for it being a Tali romance

Just found this BBB article on a new thread. Its surprising to see them throw Bioware under the bus, but it is saying logical points.

Look, the only thing this movement can do is hurt/annoy Bioware. I think I'll use a quote from my dad to me when I was a lad and I yelled at the ice cream truck driver. "Do you really want to ****** of the person who hands you your treats?"

Silly yes, but nonetheless, I feel it's relevant. You want to help Bioware? You want better games? Then provide constructive resources for them. It seems like they don't listen but they do. But, respectfully, demanding change and taking money away from a company already short on time and money doesn't seem very smart in my opinion.

Maybe you won't read this, but I'd like to respond anyway. I think that the best way for us to help Bioware is asking EA to give BW the resources to change the endings. When I was talking about greed in my previous post, I meant certain people at EA. So, holding our money, to me, is the clear message aimed at EA, hoping they will provide these resources to BW.

This.

Or maybe the bioware execs/lead writers will learn to listen to their core writing team.:?

Thanks that is a good article.

I found this on Forbes.  Alot of debate is circled around game journalists like Ng4 or gamespot.  Well, here is the media taking a shot at them as either being beholden to give good reviews, or simply out of touch with the fans that buy the game:

http://www.forbes.co...ing-journalism/

I think its a little of both myself.  Thats why when i look at reviews, i dont take it as gospel.  Also there are a lot of great fan reviews on youtube to get a different view.

The idea sounds great, but i honestly have to ask - have you ever tried getting help from EA? I had trouble with my ME3 CE code, saying that it had already been used even though i brought it new day 1 - in hindsight, that may have been an early warning for me to go get my money back - I scanned in my recipt and code then uploaded the images so EA could view them... it was then 2 hours of "bare with us while we get you a new code"... which could've easily been done in a few seconds... I know this because Square was able to help with a similar problem for my FFXiii-2 copy

i'll give you a hint on dealing with bioware/EA: livesupport. This is where (most of) the people are that know what they are doing. Had the same problem with the MP event and not getting my reward. 1.5 day of emailing, less than 5 minutes of talking with live support.

I tried using their online help for a forum access problem i was having (silly me, didnt realize you had to register the game first).  anyway i got a friendly person from india.  He was polite, but not helpful.  After 15 minutes of describing the problem and waiting, he finally just said "i apologize but my system tool appears to be down.  could you please contact us at a later time?".  so i just said thanks anyway and used the email contact form.  Which finally, 2 days later i got a response asking if i still needed help...not a solution, but just another affirmation asking if i actually need anything.

I have been in customer support and services for various ISPs and software companies.  This approach is not good and will never leave a good impression with your customers.

oddly, seems we had exact opposite experiences. However I must say here that with emailing, I had over 6-7 different people handling the ticket, where none of them bothered to actually read my first post, while the friendly neighbourhood live support guy read my story, and went to resolve it with just 1 or 2 follow up questions

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. Could you replace it with text and a civil discussion? =P

Apologies, just trying to keep it real.

technicly incorrect as there is explanation, however let's indeed keep pictures to a minimum. or atleast keep them relevant ;)

EAWare only responds to one thing: Money.
EA and BioWare won't get a damn cent out of me until they've changed their ways. Until then, I'll take my money elsewhere.
