We will fight. Never retreat. Never surrender. For the absence of out money from Bioware/EA is the greatest glory that can be achieved in this life.
A little dramatic but you get my point.

Well, it's the only thing we can do that'll make them do what they tell us they are doing:

Actually listen, and not BS us with stuff like "artistic integrity"

Anyone else annoyed by the argument they are starting to use now? It is basically something like "We are listening but we never actually said we would do anything." Seriously? I mean, you put up two threads about this and then you go and you honestly thought we wouldn't assume you would be using our ideas?

"We are listening" did used to mean something in all fairnes, but nowadays it's just PR.

BW is giving everybody who has lvl 50 character in TOR 30 days free game time.
Told you the game is running out of players.

On another note, just finished downloading 10 Gb patch of Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition, completely free. This is how you keep your clients happy, not shoving day 1 DLC down their throats.

It's DLC, you don't actually have to buy it you know.

Its disc locked content that was prepped prior to going gold.  You may put up with be sold something already on disc but I won't. Therefore I will only by used from now on.

Bioware's entire response to the fan outcry has seemed like it's been completely managed. Nothing they say feels really genuine, or like they care about what we're saying.

This would have gone over a lot better if Bioware simply accepted fault on any level, even if it was simply that they didn't clarify the ending enough. Instead they blame us, their fans, for being unable to understand what they call art.

My friend told me that Bioware isn't the only company they're messing up. Apparently Modern Warfare 3 has a huge glich in it. Anyone who paid for the exclusive map pack got screwed. The pack is the one where you pay once and you get all of the maps for free and a week or two before everyone else. The glich lets you go to the MP screen and says you need to redownload the map pack. When you hit it, it goes back to the main screen. If they try to just play the game, they can't play any of the new maps.

So not only did the mess up BW, they messed up Activision too. If it was anyother company, they would have fixed that glich the moment it happened. It's been 2-3 weeks and counting. There is talk of a massive walkout. Meaning that all of the protesters are going to not even play the game on the 20th.

So what do you guys think of that.

P.S. All new members have to pet Kalross when they see her. ;p

IMHO the whole "art" thing needs to go.  I never wanna hear that excuse again in my life.  These guys are not Davinci or Michealangelo, they are in no position to call "artistic vision"

I'll keep on buying games. I don't feel I am entitled to something different, even though I would like it. The ME universe still has playback value to me, more so than many other VidGames I play and therefore I don't see a reason to withhold my $'s from anything.

That entire argument has been wearing thin, along with the words "clarification" and "artistic integrity".

All of the game up until the God Child is art, that much is true. The Tuchanka mission is proof enough of that. But when the last part of the game throws out pre-established rules and ignores the trilogy's own themes, we don't call that art, we call it broken. And broken things in games need to be fixed.

i can respect what you're saying here, though I personally don't feel the same. I don't feel any desire to play through the mass effect trilogy again, and here's my reason why.

In Mass Effect 2, we were focused on a suicide mission. One that we were told had almost no chance of succeeding and even less chance of coming back alive. Everyone who signed up was resigning themselves to giving their lives to stop the Collectors. But if you fought hard, you could get everyone out alive and ride the explosion into the stars. That was one of the most epic moments in the series for me.

But in Mass Effect 3, no matter what I've done I still feel as though I'm forced to destroy the galaxy as I know it, because I was told to by some malevolent AI. Knowing that hope, the core principle of the trilogy, is gone, I cannot force myself to play through the games again knowing what looms ahead. This is just my experience though, and that's why I will Hold The Wallet.

And i will play ME1 and 2 still.  I love the universe they created.  But my feelings on it are i wont be buying any other content from them.  I mean, what if their next game has an awesome character in it, then in the game after they off him with no chance of a happy ending?  Its like the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me can't get fooled again!"

No just kidding.  Fool me twice shame on ME!

Yes, I also have the trust issue-feeling regarding exactly what you said. I play ME1 and some ME2, too, but that uncomfotable feeling is there all the time. I try not to feel it, but it's still there.

I also just grabbed (since I learned y'day that I could on my iPhone) the datapad app, for free, but.... I'm sorry, I think I might have to look for a thread - or make a new, becuse this can't be true, it must be a joke!! (I am actually laughing out loud now)

Needless to say (if this is it - with the datapad app) they have gotten even less respect (and trust in them) from me now.

Anyway, a warm welcome to everyone! <3

For those who were using the "Hold the wallet!" banner that was hosted on my photobucket account, it was taken down due to the insane bandwidth usage. In a week, over 10gigs were used. I've created a new account and submitted new banners with Euros and Dollars, so those should be rolling out shortly. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

You know what?  I don't care if it is art or not.  I really don't.  I care about one thing, and one thing only:

FUN

And creating your own story, watching it unfold, only to **** over the galaxy and choose which color you do it with in the end is NOT fun.  Art or not, fun trumps all.  **** art.

Bah, I prefer the GWB version, it's bad, yes, but in a good way.

Thank you, The Great and Powerful Trixie!

I used to have a paid photobucket account, but I don't anymore (since I'm hardly ever online nowadays). If i do get back to paying for it -- which I doubt, but if  I do -- I guess that would give me some more bandwith, right? Anyways, I'll let you know if so.

I can also put them up on my photobucket account, so people can use that one, too.

Also, there is TinyPic and imgur
and lots of other places, of course, but imageshack is not to recommend - there are always issues with their b/w,
but I do not know for how much these other free ones hold (bandwith-speaking)

PS. Editing a lot.  I need new glasses LOL

You're welcome! :wizard: As for the pro accounts, I believe they give you unlimited bandwidth. If it ever comes to needing one, I could always upgrade. I appreciate the offer though.
