I'll still see most of you in line waiting to buy the next Mass Effect game.

If we get a ME4, I won't be in line waiting. I hate waiting. I'll pre-order the collectors edition online and get it sent to me on the day of release like I did with ME3.

So no, you won't see me buying it.

I'll buy it used, so Bioware doesn't get my money. That's all that matters.

You mat be right that fans making promises of never buying another Bioware game may be going a bit over the top OP.

Where they will really loose out is going to be on preorders and collectors editions. A Lot fewer of those is going to be sold after this I think. People will wait until the next game is out and see if it is any good. Then they will wait some more until the retail price falls a bit.

Not to mention that a lot fewer people are going to buy ME 3 DLC. I'm not going to buy any ME 3 DLC unless the ending is fixed because I just don't feel like replaying it that much with the current crapsack ending. Which is a shame since the rest of the game is really good.

BioWare isn't the first company to screw me over. And Mass Effect is certainly not the first franchise I've boycotted.

So OP, nope. You can get in line all you want. I'm done.

I can easily say that unless DA3 is drastically different than 2, I have no desire to buy it.

I agree with you 100% on this. They won't sell nearly as many Collectors Editions.

^This.

I honestly don't see myself buying another product in the ME franchise. I've got limited money and even more importantly very limited time to spend on games. So if I'm going to invest either in a serries, I need to know ahead of time that it's pretty damn awesome.

Maybe if ME4 wows the core fans and generates the kind of satisfaction and fan reviews that ME1 and 2 did, I'd consider buying it. But I certainly won't make the mistake of pre-ordering again. And I certainly don't trust any of the professional game review sites after this.

definitely not until user reviews are in. I don't expect another ME game to come out until the next version of the consoles anyway. A lot could change between now and then. New writers. Companies get sold, etc. You know the drill. EA may not even own Bioware then. We should reserve judgement.

Remember SoE with SWG NGE. Yeah they lost of lot of costumers that day. Even more when they screw up with everquest 2. Good riddance they said. Now they cry to have them back. I didn't buy any of their games since then.

I for one Will buy it..
I loved the series from the first one..I also loved this one..
Ending Included..

If all you can do is nag about the ending
it's not all about the ending.. It's the paths in between the start and the ending that count

I WILL not remember Mass effect 3 only for it's "bad Ending"
I Still believe this is a great game, series..
And that how I want to remember the series as EPIC, Crazy at times..
And a hero on my pc..

I wrote off Westwood.
I wrote off Mythic.
I'm writing off Maxis (even though SimCity might be great)

I can, and will, write off BioWare. (assuming they continue to act this way)

Don't project your weakness on to me.

It's not good escapism if it just reminds you how much life sucks. I might buy it used, but let's stop pretending there aren't other good games to play out there.

I think you really underestimate the disappointment going on here. You won't see me in line to buy a copy of MEx. You'll see me RedBox it for a weekend... Maybe. I may just grab a copy at the pawn shop 8+ months at 9 bucks. But even if I do those things Bioware gets no money directly for it.

I assure you without some sort of genuine and sincere fix to this debacle the ME franchise is all but finished. And the next one may be fabulous but who's going to invest the emotions into such a thing when all the while they are wonder what kind of mind-**** they get at the end.

No you won't see at least 60% of us. The other 40% yeah they'll line up, and I feel bad for them. But if they are Ok with it, that's their life and their choice.

For me, the harder thing to invest is time, not money. After deamining the entire lore-foundation of their story, there are other game franchises that will be more deserving of time-investment afer this. That leads to not spending money on it.

So you people are promoting theft and declaring boycotts....

Make good on your word and LEAVE if Bioware/is oh so dead to you. I'll believe it when I see it.

Look we all love us some Mass Effect.

We wouldn't be here on a Bioware forum complaining if we didn't.

I'm seeing tons of people saying, "That's it!", "Never again Bioware!", "Vote with your money not your mouth" etc. etc.

The thing is.... I predict by the time the next Mass Effect game is out a good portion of this anger will have faded. It will never go away, but it will fade, and that is a fact.

I know people still talk about how crappy Dragon Age 2 was. ( I hated it BTW) but the venom has faded to some degree. But people are still going to buy DA3 because we're hoping for good escapism. Bioware provides that.

When ever the next ME game comes out, it will be a topseller, and score rave reviews all over again.

People won't forget about this ending dillema, it's now perminantly etched on the history of gaming....but this franchise is still way too lucrative and too amazing for us fans to let go.

False.  Bioware is a shell of their formal selves.  I once thought I'd buy every Final Fantasy game.  But After 8 I stopped because the direction they had taken was horrible.  I am not alone.  Every subsiquent Final Fantasy game sells fewer copies then the last.

Bioware has lost the magic.  Their sales will drop as a result, I will not be buying their games.  You and all the Gears of War fans can wait in line to shoot things mindlessly from behind waist high cover over and over again.

Well unless they release additional info (something concrete!) about the EC, I think a lot of people will really leave. I should too but after thinking it out and discussing it with friends, we all decided to wait and see. For now we remain hopeful. I hope we're not making a mistake.

I can't say its the last time I will buy from EA, but from Bioware, yes. I am no longer willing to spend my money on their goods, it is incredibly unlikely that their future products will entice me back.

Beautiful thing about being a consumer in a competitive market, I can choose where to spend my money.

Not me.

And why would I? If this ending isn't fixed, then I can't afford to risk emotional investment into another Bioware game. The ME3 ending really hurt, and I'm not going to put myself through that again. Fool me once...
