Same for me. Over the years I have purchased the following from BioWare...recentio wrote...
No. You really won't. I'm not a tool.
Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal
Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening
Dragon Age: Origins - Leliana's Song DLC
Dragon Age: Origins - The Golems of Amgarrak DLC
Dragon Age: Origins - Witch Hunt DLC
Dragon Age II
Mass Effect
Mass Effect - Bring Down the Sky DLC
Mass Effect 2 (the one that already came with a lot of the DLC)
Mass Effect 2 - Arrival DLC
Mass Effect 2 - Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC
Mass Effect 3 Pre-Order
Neverwinter Nights
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Unfortunately, ME3 will be the last dime I spend on the company (or EA) after this debacle.

I still get the game; Bioware/EA doesn't get my money .. it's win-win from my perspective.

It's called having courage of one's convictions. Something that is, sadly, dying off in modern society. These last three titles have proven that BioWare is no longer the company I respected so don't look for me in line for the next BioWare title, Mass Effect or otherwise.
I seem to recall the same thing being predicted after I had been playing Warcraft from beta through Wrath. I told everyone I wasn't getting Cataclysm, nor was I going to remain subscribed because I didn't like the direction Blizzard was going. "Oh, you'll still buy it, I'll see you at the store!" all my guildmates and online friends said.
Never bought it, unsubscribed and haven't looked back. It's humorous to get occasional e-mails from guildmates asking "where I went".

Look we all love us some Mass Effect.
We wouldn't be here on a Bioware forum complaining if we didn't.
I'm seeing tons of people saying, "That's it!", "Never again Bioware!", "Vote with your money not your mouth" etc. etc.
The thing is.... I predict by the time the next Mass Effect game is out a good portion of this anger will have faded. It will never go away, but it will fade, and that is a fact.
I know people still talk about how crappy Dragon Age 2 was. ( I hated it BTW) but the venom has faded to some degree. But people are still going to buy DA3 because we're hoping for good escapism. Bioware provides that.
When ever the next ME game comes out, it will be a topseller, and score rave reviews all over again.
People won't forget about this ending dillema, it's now perminantly etched on the history of gaming....but this franchise is still way too lucrative and too amazing for us fans to let go.
If by "score rave reviews" you mean from corrupt gaming review sites that gave ME3 rave reviews without mentioning the endings, then yeah, it will.
If you mean from fans, then I think you need to check out Metacritic's user score. Rave reviews is not exactly the word I would use to describe it.

Mass Effect universe is effectivley dead, didnt you see the endings? No relays no FTL. the Mass Effect itself if you remmber all the way back to the intro of no1 was to do with the mass relays.

Secondly, I love the snarky smug, and in your face comments, what a lovely community in the end.
I think DA3 should be the first test.

Nup.
That's up to developers.
Actually, for recent games like Skyim and Mass Effect 3, the first torrents out PRE-RELEASE were cracked XBox versions. The PC versions couldn't be cracked pre-release. I think that the whole idea that torrents will kill PC gaming is nonsense. Plenty of people torrent Xbox and PS3 versions.
I've been a loyal Bioware customer for years (see to the left). I don't even play that many video games anymore. It still actually baffles me how pissed I am about the ending to ME3, but Bioware has gone from the only gaming company I would pre-order from, to a gaming company I refuse to give money to in the future.

With that being said my actions regarding future BW titles is an unknown for me. I won't say I won't buy anymore BW games, because it really depends on how the extended version plays out. But I will say, that I am not a thrall to the company. There are too many other game companies and franchises I like to be enslaved by merely one.

You mean like the same way I've bought all the latest TS3 packs after learning that the latest patches were adding featurs with which I bitterly disagreed? Oh wait ...
You think I'll be buying future Mass Effect products after the current state of the game has effectively killed all desire to even finish the latest game I have not to mention expanding that game with paid content?
I don't know what you're smoking OP, but it must be some powerful stuff.

I bought DAO. DAA was awful. Leliana's song was story wise okay, but very buggy. I didn't even buy Witch hunt, and later heard it was awful.
DA2's development cycle is way too short.
The main character is revealed to be only one character. No more dwarven/elven mains.
and I heard a lot of pre-order bonuses.
Therefore, it's pretty much overwhelming evidence tells me that DA2 is going to suck.
So I did not pre-order it. I bought it at a very low price.
Now it's the same deal. Almost overwhelming evidence shows that the next Bioware installment's quality will be in trouble. Will I buy it? Don't know. Will I pre-order it? Absolutely not.

I might still get DA3 though depending on the consumer reviews (ME3 ending war showed professional reviewers are not to be trusted) but Mass Effect is dead. I'm headcanoning my own ending and that'll be the end of it.

Well said. The days of pre-ordering BioWare games are well and truly over... But we all knew this was coming when EA took over. Like all those before BioWare...

Eh. Predict away. You may be right. People will still probably buy the games coming out in the future. I know that I've canceled my TOR account and will not buy another Bioware game again. Nor will I buy another product that has Mike Gamble, Casey Hudson, or Mac Walters associated with it if and when they leave Bioware.
Drew K. was right; the company is no longer what it was. They've abandoned what made them a developer that inspired such loyalty in the first place. I won't be giving my money to a company that sells out like that and becomes what I despise in developers.
So maybe others will be there in that line with you. I know I won't. Enjoy being shafted of money for mediocre products.

Play as Yahg Commander Blaaaaargh and assemble a crack team of Pyjacks, Varren and Vorcha and uncover the lost secrets of an ancient race known only as "Yumanity".
Experience the thrill of 3 different endings in purple, magenta and orange!
