I'll still see most of you in line waiting to buy the next Mass Effect game.

Eh, if I ever buy another Bioware game it would be based on great reviews from people I trust. And even then I would be very hesitant.

I'm incredibly unlikely to buy another Bioware game unless

a) The promised DLC is orders of magnitude better than I expect an extended explanation to us philistines to be, and

B) The game gets OUTSTANDING consumer reviews on multiple aggregate and seller sites.

Nope. I won't buy it, and I won't even bother pirating it either. I just won't think about anything ME or Bioware/EA related. It won't be that hard; there are still plenty of good developers out there.

No. You won't OP.

You might see me holding a second hand version as I walk out of a store that sends zero money to EA or Bioware, but you certainly won't see me standing in any line on launch day.

Sorry, but no. It's become clear to me that I am no longer part of their target audience, and that's ok.

Maybe that will change someday, but as of now, we're done.

Pretty much this one.

It's not like we can't stand back on our choice if the reasons why we made that one are no longer valid. I mean, if Bioware returns to make good and COMPLETE games, why not?. It's not like we're Casey Hudson unsable to admit he ruined the series with that ending.

I know how to hold a grudge. Depending on how that ending DLC looks like I might buy Bioware games that have been out for awhile.

If not, I will not touch Bioware games again.

Don't assume everyone doesn't mean what they say.

Will red reviews that specifically mention that they played it until the end. Would rather run the risk of experiencing spoilers than slapping down £40 for another turd

Will you all boycott the anime and movies too? It's all the same intellectual property. Its all Mass Effect, and it's only going to get bigger. Then general gaming public isn't as fired up about this controversy as many of us on these boards. They'll keep marketing this universe and people will keep buying until its tired and worn out like Star Wars. I'm no psychic, but I've seen this kind of fan rage enough times to know that unless you keep stoking the campfire the embers die down.

I think there is a lot of mileage left in this franchise.

The movie will probably do alright. General audience won't even care it's based on a game, they will come watch commandos fighting aliens, blue chicks, starships and huge explosions. I imagine, though, the anime will flop horribly. This is product tailored for the core audience of the game, much like the books, action figures and all the other fluff - and the likeliness of a potential customer being put off the series is bigger the bigger the odds are he'd buy it before ME3 ending.

As for the last line - I think many here will agree that a lot of the potential this universe had went poof in a chain mass relay explosion. I imagine Star Wars did as well as it did, because it didn't end up with downer ending, and all the force being taken away. People might say many things, but at the end of a day we do love a happy ending.

I'm only here because there are interesting points being raised about ME3's pathetic ending. Also I'm still holding on to a faint hope that Bioware will fix it...somehow...

But no, I will not be preordering ANYTHING from Bioware from now on. User reviews will dictate whether they see another cent from me.

I agree that there will be a lot of people who still buy the next ME but I can honestly say that I wont. For me the series has been downhill with ME1 being the best IMO. Even though I didnt much care for ME2 I still bought ME3 because I wanted to see how Shepard's story ended. After this whole fiasco I really could give two ****s about the ME universe and how Bioware wants to literally destroy it. Im done with their version of the ME universe, Im just gonna imagine it the way that I want it to be and be. I will still check on fans reception to future games but Im not gonna be wasting any more of my money on their "Artistic" views.

*edit: However I think that it would be impossible to stay away from EA, they own like half of the gaming developers, Im just done with Bioware. But for example after Halo 2's terrible ending I swore off all things Halo and havent looked back since, I have absolutely no interest in that series at all anymore and Im sure that there are many more like me.

Nope. That's it. EA has killed the franchise, so I am done with it. Only EA games I will get will be the racing games.

Look we all love us some Mass Effect.

We wouldn't be here on a Bioware forum complaining if we didn't.

I'm seeing tons of people saying, "That's it!", "Never again Bioware!", "Vote with your money not your mouth" etc. etc.

The thing is.... I predict by the time the next Mass Effect game is out a good portion of this anger will have faded. It will never go away, but it will fade, and that is a fact.

I know people still talk about how crappy Dragon Age 2 was. ( I hated it BTW) but the venom has faded to some degree. But people are still going to buy DA3 because we're hoping for good escapism. Bioware provides that.

When ever the next ME game comes out, it will be a topseller, and score rave reviews all over again.

People won't forget about this ending dillema, it's now perminantly etched on the history of gaming....but this franchise is still way too lucrative and too amazing for us fans to let go.

I tend not to waste my time on an author/creator once they've established a track record of producing crap, even if I used to like their work.

I did it with A Song of Ice and Fire, The Wheel of Time, The Anita Blake series, Final Fantasy, Halo, and now Mass Effect.

It's not a matter of being vindictive, as if I think I'm hurting someone by doing so.  Once the writing's on the wall, though, it would be pretty dumb to continue spending money on things I don't like.  I used to like Bioware's games, but considering DA2 and ME3 it's evident they just don't make games like that any more.

Be a fan of individual works, not companies.

I loved ME2 and preordered ME3. I won't preorder again. I loved DAO. I really didn't like DA2. I won't be ordering DA3. I'll check out what customers say on Amazon to figure out what games I want to buy.Posted Image

No you won't lol. Know why? I was the biggest fan of the Metroid series. After Metroid Prime 2, never bought another Metroid game again.
