Nope. In years of gaming i already did that a bunch of times.
Guess what? Sometime, things changed according to the plan, or else i just lived on.

Look we all love us some Mass Effect.

We wouldn't be here on a Bioware forum complaining if we didn't.

I'm seeing tons of people saying, "That's it!", "Never again Bioware!", "Vote with your money not your mouth" etc. etc.

The thing is.... I predict by the time the next Mass Effect game is out a good portion of this anger will have faded. It will never go away, but it will fade, and that is a fact.

I know people still talk about how crappy Dragon Age 2 was. ( I hated it BTW) but the venom has faded to some degree. But people are still going to buy DA3 because we're hoping for good escapism. Bioware provides that.

When ever the next ME game comes out, it will be a topseller, and score rave reviews all over again.

People won't forget about this ending dillema, it's now perminantly etched on the history of gaming....but this franchise is still way too lucrative and too amazing for us fans to let go.

Re: your title. No you won't see me.
Re: your post. No I don't think you get it. Perhaps IGN (spit) will give it rave reviews but they would really have to have learned from this debacle for the user reviews to match. I don't see that learning process hapening in their official posts.

As for letting go. Just watch me.

Shrug. I'll wait for it to go to the bargain bin and then maybe.

With ME3 as an example it should only take a few months to get there...

I boycotted The Dragon Age franchise after DA2. I have no problem Boycotting Bioware after ME3

Uhm I have absolutely no interest in another game in the ME setting, not with what Bioware has done with it. If I want a poorly written story ridden with contrivances and violations of traditional narrative tropes, I'll go watch an Uwe Boll movie.

No you won't lol. Know why? I was the biggest fan of the Metroid series. After Metroid Prime 2, never bought another Metroid game again.

I am a huge Zelda fan. Bought nearly every copy, even the horrendous 3DO version. I still buy Zelda games.

like i have said before, another mass effect game is nothing more than a cash grab. the original writer left and the whole plot went to crap, what do you think another game will be about? not having relays, not fighting reapers? there is no more potential to the story. It is dead in the water.

I know how to hold a grudge. Depending on how that ending DLC looks like I might buy Bioware games that have been out for awhile.

If not, I will not touch Bioware games again.

Don't assume everyone doesn't mean what they say.

It's not even about grudges.

If I had known beforehand that ME3 would end like this, I would never even have bothered with ME1. It's a dumb story and if this is what Bioware makes now then I'll do fine without their games.

Darksiders 2 in June!

Not me. Bioware is going on a little list of mine - of developers/publishers that I refuse to buy brand new, only pre-owened. If there is a Mass Effect 4, I'll get it from CeX after a month or so. (Along with THQ after the dissapointment of Saints Row The Third and the mess of WWE '12).

I can see the hype for the next game already. Casey Hudson will be on stage somewhere saying "Your choices will matter, we won't end on a cliff hanger, the Rachni will play a significant role, we're not going to pull a LOST, and no way is it going to be 'choose ending A, B, or C.'"

Yeah, I guess a few people will fall for it again.

This one won't be in that line. Will be standing off the side sighing at everyone who does.

This one wouldn't really even care if a new game got released, it'd probably just be a pointless prequel.

Oh....

Probably, yeah. We can camp out in proper nerd style. ;)

I DID go see Phantom Menace 3D. And yes, it did suck. Massively. And yet I still had a good time, mostly hating on it but still. Part of being a fangeek I guess. Hate it because you love it.

Sorry dude, but just like a bad restaurant, I remember things like this when I buy future products as well. People who weren't as badly hurt by this fiasco will probably do as you say, but there's many of us who will not. Regardless of their actions now, they've lost tons of business.
