FTL is too slow to get home without food/fuel/drive discharge sites/whatever. -Huge negative assumptions. Millions of stars within a months travel of sol. Krogan dmz within a years travel Turian homeworld not much farther.
No new supplies into Sol because no relay. -V v large negative assumptions. hundreds of systems within 2 days travel. Assumes no ability to rebuild or grow food in a technologically advanced manner.
Dextro species in Sol starve. - Assumes dextro food cannot be created for them. Assumes there was no existing food supply for turians visiting earth. Assumes no planets in even 2 days range could support dextro life/provide dextro food, let alone within a months travel. Assumes no quarian live ships full of dextro food survived.
FTL - Intragalactic travel is only possible because of mass relays. This is a major point in the series. The codex says that less than 1% of stars have been explored, that FTL speed is slow relative to the volume of the galaxy, that empty space and systems without drive discharge site are barriers to exploration (because ships that can't discharge can't use FTL, and will eventually overheat and kill the crew), and that inhabited space is mostly small clusters of densely developed systems connected by relay networks.
Supply chain - The Reapers destroy urban infrastructure, factories, fuel depots, comm networks, and anything that looks technologically advanced. The Reapers have been in Sol for a while. The state of Sol's manufacturing infrastructure is unknown, and there is no reason to assume that it's all perfectly fine, or will be simple to repair. Quarians are most adept at repair with meager materials, but even they are not totally self-sufficient, because they lack heavy manufacturing capabilites.
Food - Creating food is problematic:
Growing food on Earth, if possible, requires arable land as well as something to grow there, and Earth already relies heavily on colonial trade. Earth in general suffers from an extreme socioeconomic divide, so poor areas are more polluted and less technologically advanced. The big cities were doing well, but they were also the first targets. Earth has only recently started to recover from the environmental damage inflicted during the 21st century; it is unknown how this affects the state of agriculture.
Alien food/medical supplies are most likely to be found in big cities. Big cities are Reaper rubble. The state of existing supply stockpiles is unknown; the state of supplies brought with the turian/quarian fleets is unknown.
There is no reason to assume that quarians brought liveships into the battle -- since the liveships are the lifeblood of the entire species, it would seem foolish to bring them if there is any possibility of success, because losing one could doom the survivors. It seems more likely that civilian ships (including liveships) stayed out of the battle. Even if they brought
all their liveships, the liveships exist in a delicate balance, and quarians have to carefully manage outgoing food to make sure that shortages and starvation are never a problem. Even if they were asked to produce food for themselves and the turians, this situation would not be sustainable without a constant influx of resources to support the production.
Facts from the codex. Game supports horrible outcomes, even before we get into speculation about human nature and what people do when resources are scarce (answer: go to war over them).
