Youre delusional if you really think this wasnt the main reason for ALOT of the hate the ending was getting.

Sorry, but the delusional one is you.

The predominant reason the endings have gotten hate has been the destruction of player choice and the plot holes in the canon. While there have certainly been plenty of people complaining that they wanted their blue babies, the vast majority of complaints have been due to the fact that the catalyst was a new character foisted on players in the last 5 minutes, the dialog with the catalyst completely ignored the staple themes of the franchise, and player choice was discarded in favor of authorial fiat at the end.

You're just another person attempting to dismiss everyone's legitimate complaints behind a poor troll of "people just wanted a happy ending", which most of us have stated, repeatedly, was NOT the case.

Shepard demands better fans, indeed. Not trolls who have obviously ignored thousands of well written, extremely detailed, posts as to why the current endings are cop-out garbage that break all of the established content prior to it.

Im not talking about all of BSN but trust me, if Bioware pulls a scene with Shepard holding an blue baby in the end, the general attitude on this forums will change dramaticaly

Speaking as one of the people who is entirely in favor of little blue children: while that would certainly be cute, just that by itself won't really make the endings suck less.  It wouldn't be as hopelessly soul sucking, and that WOULD be an improvement, but the many, many plotholes and inconsistencies would remain.

thats a good point and i would of been happy if we could of talked to the space kid but at the same time dosn't he flat out refuse to do anything?  I also see this in the same light as the dark rite in DA:O are you willing to ceate a life that will be posessed by an evil god so that the warden can live beond the final battle?

It's not quite the same. The whole point of the Dark rite was that the Old god sprite had been corrupted by the taint, by being born into a body with no taint it would be "Cleansed". We have no way of knowing if it would be evil or even have the same mindset at the old god.
(Morrigan implies that she intends to raise it, which makes me think it wouldn't have the mind of an old god)

The Reaper god entire statement about it is that it "Changed him. Opening up new possiblities. But I can't make them happen." Which again makes no sense in the control ending . Ethier he controls them or he doesn't.

unless your EMS is low in which case he is much ruder and the line is "I can't make them happen, and I wont" which is just really bad phrase because obvioulsy if you CANT do something, you WONT do it...because you CANT.

Does he talk about anything in the galaxy in definite terms? No. It's all vague, mysterious BS.

It's all vague, mysterious BS:

Therefore you cant make a single conclusion... Its all about speculationz!!!!111one

The reason why that scene is perfect is because you can take it as meaning anything you want...

I can make a conclusion, because if that were an advanced society he wouldn't have to resort to vague, mysterious BS.
In fact, why would the kid even ask about life out there? He would be taught such things in school. In fact, if this were an advanced interstellar society he would've already SEEN Asari, Turians, and so on.

So no, they are two primitives worshipping the stars. That is the only thing we are shown.

So you admit that it's vague information to go on, yet clear enough for you to know the right answer about the state of civilization at that point? Even when not even BioWare might have planned that far ahead -- hell, I'm sure you'll concede that they had no idea what they were doing with the trilogy's ending -- you still 'know' what happens?

That's just like, you're opinion man.

And man, internal scripts are just there, they're not really important. Besides, BioWare changes **** constantly. I don't know if thats good actually. No. It's not.

But this is their final chance.

They're scene guides, the scenes are voiced and directed based on those guides, so yes. 10,000 years later.
Also that's a male Asari.

They had no idea what they were doing during the ending.

I dont. I don't... Understand this on like a technical level.. I.. SPACE MAGIC.

I really, REALLY hope Merizan isn't just telling us what we want to hear.

Of course, that would just end in yet another s**tstorm.

I wish the last mission of ME 3 looked and felt like the CGI trailer. You know, ''Awh HELLZ NO! Lets kick some reaper ass!'' Not ''98 percent KIA 99 PERCENT KIA 100 PERCENT KIA''.
Also London is generally depressing without a reaper invasion. I sort of felt like I had lost when I just got to London. Then I saw the ending.....

In order to figure out the state of the galaxy all you need to do is pay attention to phraseing.

The phrase "Anything you can imagine" implies he has no direct knowledge of whats out there.

He uses the word "Could" to describe the exsistince of life on other planets, meaing he doesn't know.

So yeah, Angry is right. The implications of the ending is that after however long ,they still haven't gone back to space.

It's a forest. Even if they didn't have working mass relays, if it was 10,000 years into the future technology could be very advanced at that point. It wouldn't make sense to assume that they live in a forest or in villages after all those years.

But I guess you've already got that vague, mysterious stuff figured out. /shrugs

"Far from any signs of civilization" is speculative. Also, that's not Earth. It's a colony most likely, which could have a lot of unsettled land.

edit: and I'm not sure what's wrong with taking your grandson for a walk?

This....seriously....I never needed a happy ending.....I wanted many varying endings based on my choices(As was Promised!)

And don't get me started on Star Jar and the plotholes.....

I don't need a pile of dog crap explained to me....none of us do....we know what a pile of crap is when we see it....if you're gonna tell me that a bj from your girlfriend is gonna make you think that pile of crap is gold, then you are pathetic

All Bioware needs to do is say the old man was speaking vagely to the child, they dont have to remove the scene, you can interpret it whatever way you want to. Thats why Casey wanted that scene for everyone.

Where does it say how much time has passed?

Even if its 10k years, the old man never say anything to the child that they are stranded forever. Hes is talking to a kid about the stars and how there is life in many planet, there is no evidence that they have no mass relay technology working...
