I know for many that an extended ending cut won't be enough. But I just talked with Merizan over twitter. She told me that:

1- No one starves to death, somehow.

Puts to rest the 'mass relays blown = entire galaxy dead' theory.

They could just be hand waving it.  That's our issue.  It seems to be hand waved right now.

And look at the scene. See any technology? See any moving lights in the night sky? See any city in the background?
Does he talk about anything in the galaxy in definite terms? No. It's all vague, mysterious BS.

It's all vague, mysterious BS:

Therefore you cant make a single conclusion... Its all about speculationz!!!!111one

The reason why that scene is perfect is because you can take it as meaning anything you want...

I can make a conclusion, because if that were an advanced society he wouldn't have to resort to vague, mysterious BS.
In fact, why would the kid even ask about life out there? He would be taught such things in school. In fact, if this were an advanced interstellar society he would've already SEEN Asari, Turians, and so on.

So no, they are two primitives worshipping the stars. That is the only thing we are shown.

So you admit that it's vague information to go on, yet clear enough for you to know the right answer about the state of civilization at that point? Even when not even BioWare might have planned that far ahead -- hell, I'm sure you'll concede that they had no idea what they were doing with the trilogy's ending -- you still 'know' what happens?

Thats how The_Angry_One acts all the time. Im glad someone else notices it

I guess that means we're primatives without spaceflight, since I take my daughter outside and explain about the stars, asterisms, and the possibility of life out there?Image IPB

I'm tentatively optimistic. It's not the change I had hoped for, but I didn't truly expect them to completely scrap the ending anyway. If I can meet up with Garrus once again and retire with my lady Liara, I suppose I'll be content.

It's a forest. Even if they didn't have working mass relays, if it was 10,000 years into the future technology could be very advanced at that point. It wouldn't make sense to assume that they live in a forest or in villages after all those years.

But I guess you've already got that vague, mysterious stuff figured out. /shrugs

So an old man took his grandson to the forest. Alone. In the night. Far from any signs of civilisation.
This makes sense to you?

I really want to see how it is possible to rebuild the relays since Bioware is proud of the endings as they are and as all three endings clearly destroy the citadel and the mass relays.

"The Shepard?" Come on. They deified her/him. Your entire team is probably part of the pantheon. PRIMATIVE SOCIETY. 10,000 yrs into the future. If it said that in the code notes, that's what it is. The tweets said there is the capability of building the relays. The stargazer scene is probably a temperate region on the jungle planet, at least that's what it looks like.

However look at the earth around London. Do you seriously think the priority is building the relays? No. The priority is growing food, clean up, fresh water, rebuilding infrastructure, rebuilding the planetary economy, locally infighting over what little resources are left, killing one another, killing remaining husks first though. No one starves but there might be a mass extinction from high cancer rates. Lots of eezo in the water supplies from the crashed reapers (not just the fallen over ones). Natural biotics start evolving. But you've got a primative society. That scene could have taken place in the 1950s which by todays technological standards was primative.

Of course if you chose Green, you won't need food, water, or an economy because you'll be a frakkin' Cylon. And the relays get rebuilt.

Umm.....you didn't watch Control did you? Citadel lives.

As for myself....slightly more cautiously optimistic.

@JessicaMerizan So, no playable content? Shame, that. But at this point I'll take whatever scraps you guys dish out.

@Debojit1986 I don't know where you got that from...

The FAQ kind of implies that it isn't playable. Is it otherwise or...?

Compared to ME yeah we're damn right primative, humans haven't been past low earth orbit since the '70s and aren't likely to go back to the moon any time soon. <_<

First off, when I read good news everyone, I atomatically thought of the Proffesor from Futurama. Secondly, as long as I am reunited with the Normandy while being ALIVE and NOT IN A COFFIN I'm totally fine.

PS: I hope I dont have to kill off a complete species to do it, especially the Geth.

Well reaper supposidly built mass relays so with control they could be rebuilt and in control citadel is not destroyed in some cases I believe

Considering this is the community manager herself saying this - I'd take it pretty seriously.

Sounds like somebody went back and looked at Dragon Age:Origins' ending and figured out how to deliver a player a properly wrapped-up epilogue. Or maybe this was in the works all along?

Anyway, thanks for engaging the community on this!

The Reapers built the relays and they are still around in 2 of the 3 endings.  Would probably take a while for them to be rebuilt in the destroy ending, not that it would be impossible though.

Jessica just verified something I've been trying to tell people:

unfortunately we have to keep the details vague right now to make sure nothing is said that we can't deliver on :/

http://twitter.com/J...003574222028802

This is important to remember. They know very well they've just been burned hard on broken promises. They want to avoid that mistake again.
