Keep in mind this is the same person who thought that the ground retreat order in London was a fleet retreat order.

Cool pics.

Now they have to answer the OTHER questions.

First, why the heck did Joker inexplicably become a coward? Hence, tarnishing his character forever?

So their plan is to douse everything after the ending in space magic and hope people pretend the rotten turd of an ending where Shep agreed to do the bidding of Space Hitler was a dream. Then everyone can go prancing through the meadows happily.

Maybe I'm missing it....but the OP said it would be possible for Shep to reunite with his crew....where is this stated? I'm failing to see where this is suggested

Lol I think this thread proves that if Bioware had just included a way for shep to live/reunite with his/her crew the uproar would not have been nearly as loud, no matter the plot holes.

I know for many that an extended ending cut won't be enough. But I just talked with Merizan over twitter. She told me that:

1- No one starves to death, somehow.

Puts to rest the 'mass relays blown = entire galaxy dead' theory.

No, it doesn't. In EVERY ENDING we see that all of the Mass Relays are destroyed. They break in to tons of pieces and explode just like in The Arrival. The only difference is that the explosions are color coded now.

Also, how will they rebuild the Mass Relays? They'll go to the Charon relay and then connect it to....what? The network is completely gone and the Citadel was torn apart by the beam that was fired from it.

What possibly reason would we have for being pessimistic? I get the whole playing down expectations and preparing for disappointment to reduce emotional investment, but come on.

Ms. Merizan once speculated that the ending wasn't so bad because Joker and the Normandy were on earth. Then someone pointed out the earth doesn't actually have two moons.

On topic, this intrigues me.

haha, same here. I don't understand why these things weren't in the game to start with but if they can pull it off, and give it a bit more coherance, I'll be impressed.

I'll be interested to see exactly how hard they twist the knife on the sacrifices. It's a delicate balance between too little cost and ott omggrimdark imo. I'm really hoping they strike that balance.

I am happy if this will be in the extended Cut. God, with this forum's attitude, they should be happy Bioware even makes an extended cut. Most of these forum members are arrogant pieces of ****, who aren't entitled to anything except their ****ty live in which they only care about the ending of a VIDEO GAME. Some of you should just snap out of it and start contributing to the real world.

"No one starves to death" is pretty big news. I wonder how they'll make it happen?

More space magic.  I cant see any other way for this to feasibly happen with the ending they left us.

Has anyone else noticed that the standard BioWare procedure is to:

1) Release a passive-aggressive statement that leaves out key points and sounds like mindless PR spin.
2) Wait for the fans to spin up to hurricane force rage.
3) Have Jessica tweet a response that actually makes sense and makes us temporarily feel better.

I seriously think Jessica needs to be running things over there. She's the onyl one that is ever helpful.

It's fine to be cautious guys. We won't actually know what we are dealing with until more information comes out. Although Jessica doesn't really know all of the info, she does work for bioware so she probably does have some inside info. I'd really doubt she would give out fake unofficial information at this point.

Yeah Jessica I know you're just trying to get annoying prodders off your back. I would too.
But still.. rebuilding the relays is completely likely... AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Tell that to these two:

*Snip*

I wouldn't be surprised if Merizan and co have been told they can let a few things out of the bag, finally. I know you haven't given up on the ending just yet, neither have I. Let's honor that hope by waiting a little longer. Merizan hasn't outright lied to us yet.

I'm expecting more plot holes and shoed in explanations, but right now, if it gives me the resolution I need, I'll take it. Beats plot holes that lead to no hope whatsoever for my characters.

I don't see how Jessica is necassarily a totally valid source.... But if they allow the ending choices/possibilities to get you reunited/have a say in whether or not the relays are destroyed.... I might actually not rage as much as I am now...

While I like Jessica, "possible" can be used to either say it's either a possible outcome in the DLC, or that it's possible that it could be a possible outcome in the DLC.

Right now, I'm leaning towards the latter. I am an IT supporter, but I'm not going to believe Jessica is going to spoil something we actually get in the DLC. It's one thing to answer a lore question such as the starving matter (another example: fate of Citadel civilians), but it's another to let the cat out of the bag when there are NDAs involved.

Just being cautious though.  Have to look at what her job is after all.

Everyone assumed they would all starve for no reason. Everyone assumed the relays could not be rebuilt for no reason. Everyone assumed the normandy crew were stranded forever for no reason. Tons of people assumed the waves were destructive when shown the opposite was true.

1) There were a lot of good reasons for those conclusions, because there was nothing in the game to contradict them. For example, relay blows up > FTL is too slow to get home without food/fuel/drive discharge sites/whatever > no new supplies into Sol because no relay > dextro species in Sol starve. Nothing in the game indicates that that would not happen.

Hence the obvious need for clarification.

2) That's kind of what happens when the ending can be summed up by the phrase, "lots of speculation from everyone".
