1. The thread title made me think of Futurama, and how usually in Futurama when the professor says that, the following news is NOT good. The irony made me chuckle.
2. I'm so happy to see that ONE employee at Bioware understands that a statement of this magnitude made in the form of a canned PR letter complete with arbitrary and contrived "FAQ" section is just a poor form for delivery. Kudos to Jessica for being such a gracious and generous person to the community (some of whom have not returned the favor to her)
3. I can confirm what the OP said is on her twitter as of this writing. "@MrBlazenGlazen yes but with some sacrifices depending on the end you chose. Ending is never perfect but Shep/crew reunited is possible

" (at 1:32 PM EST).
What she has written on her twitter is all GOOD stuff to see, but...
That said... it still doesn't really make the endings GOOD WRITING. I fear that I will soon be ashamed of Casey and Mac, who have put together such incredible work so far. I'm not sure if its arrogance or denial, but there is no WAY you can look at what they produced and say it was consistent with the soul, character, power, and yes INTEGRITY of the series up to that point. Casey, Mac, if you see this: the ending was beneath you guys. Just admit THAT MUCH and a lot of people will be happy. You are GREAT artists, but even a great artist will produce a lousy piece from time to time.
Artistic integrity is a hollow excuse for an ending that HAS no integrity. I hope they go with Indoctrination as their epilogue... because otherwise I have to question their sanity as writer and director.
Find that 30 minute youtube video for the full elaboration on why it's just 'broken' as an ending. I would think Bioware people have seen it by now.
I hope they start coming out with more explanation of this epilogue soon besides Ms Merizan's twitter feed, or else this will only get worse.
