They regarded it as hideously expensive.
So basically, Merizan expects individual, devastated worlds with their entire infrastructure destroyed, their enviroment ruined and their populations decimated to each successfully undertake a project that would've been considered prohibitively expensive to an entire. Galactic. Society.

Makes sense. Also, the Krogan will start sneezing out delicious cake on command.

Look, I understand why people are sceptical. But I am going to hold on to those good news as much as I hold to bad ones. Who knows, maybe, just maybe they will bring what we want. In some part at least. If not Bioware, at least the Mass Effect series deserves that we wait and see. AFTER that we will decide.

This is interesting... I have some ideas at how they could proceed to better explain the ending (IT included), but we'll see. Despite the PR nonsense BioWare/Jessica have thrown at us, I do appreciate her taking time out to respond. I thought she was going to stop talking about Mass Effect altogether, but I am glad she didn't =)

Anyway... LOTS OF SPECULATION again.

Well, to me those seemed like definitive statements. Unless she comes out right now to say that this is just her opinion then I say it's actual insider info from bioware.

I would assume they passed along a few bullet points for her to put out there with fans.

if they remove destroying the geth from destroy ending and let me reunite with my crew I would accept that ending and be ok with it.

Reaper Jesus said it would kill you too.

It didn't kill you, so there is a chance it worked better than he thought and only killed the Reapers.

Thats what I'm going with.

So based on that, it's pretty much what I thought. The "extensions" will come down "Even though everything in the codex says this would be a terrible fate for the galaxey, it totally isn't because we decided it isn't"

The "logical" conclusion was that, with enough preparation, you somehow manage to have the catalyst tuned to just the reapers, thus shepard and other synthetics/AIs survive.

Also, no one starves to death? We rebuild mass relays we couldn't duplicate when we have the working models in front of us? So basically, their clarificationw ill be "well, all these things should happen, but they don't and now you have it canon that they don't." They are explaining what they meant the ending to be, and then telling us it works like that cause. Still, gotta say plesently suprised.

If you can't get the good endings w/o multiplayer, its pointless what they do, as far as I'm concerned.

With all due respect for Jessica Merizan, she tells people on twitter all the time that Shepard reunites with crew by choosing red with high EMS... But in your own imagination.

Well you could always wait until the DLC is released, but I guess that would be boring.

Ms Merizan's tweets are simply hopeful speculations, they work nicely to calm people but thats all they are.
Try to remember some of her tweets hinting to indoctrination theory and the like, which were wrongly considered by some to be facts.
They were nothing more than speculation leading to active discussion about the endings.
Basing hopes for the "clarification" DLC on twitter feeds will only lead to dissapointment.

The only way to do that would be control and synthesis which would still maintain reapers.

Another huge blow for IT tho (even if i liked it more than the currents endings).

Jessica Merizan is also the one who said that the Normandy had NOT gone through the Charon relay when it fled the explosion, because it was "too far away."

Ie, thereby implying that the lush jungle planet they crashlanded on was somehow in Earth's solar system.

So I'd take anything and everything she says with a grain of salt. I'm not saying she's deliberately lying or anything, but she's a PR droid and is very likely to just make stuff up on the spot.

The idea that gates are "likely" to be rebuilt is nonsense. Every single smidge of lore in the game says that it's FAR beyond any of the current civilizations' capabilities. Yes, maybe in 10,000 years they'll be rebuilt. But don't delude yourself into thinking that they'll be back up in a few years.

Even IF a race somehow figures it out, then they still have to fly with normal FTL to a receiving location and construct a gate there. In order to relink the galaxy together, at Mass Effect's speed of 12 light years a day, that'd take 30 years in travel time alone just to reach the other side of the galaxy.

Tali ain't never gonna see Rannoch again, people. She'll be old and gray before they'd ever make it back, and of course, they can't just start flying around the galaxy, because nobody would have proper charts. (the relays made them unneccesary.)

You're in Indoctrinated, listen to yourself.

She is only adding on to the lies told by Bioware.
