Nice, but replacing music was unnecessary.

There is no good music in the fight of the fleet, just the silence and the sounds of ships. And I wanted put some good music of ME universe, not just the final soundtrack of ME3 during 5 minutes. But thx for your comment ! ;)

When fans can cut together an ending with existing content that is significantly better than what the developers gave us, there is a big problem....

I am so jaded.

Hi guys,

This is my first video concerning the Mass Effect 3 ending. I have no hope that Bioware make the ending that I want, so I've made my own.

Firstly my project was just a remake of the fleet arrival, with better music (Mass Effect 1 and 2), but I decided to
remake the entire ending. I added music, cut lots of sequences (bye bye Star Child), and cut some pieces (Mass Relays and Citadel are not destroyed in my version, because without them there is no more Mass Effect).

My vision of the ending :
- I agree with bioware about a large part of the ending, but in my opinion the "star child" have no reason to exist. The crucible and the sacrifice of thousands soldiers of each race is enough to stop the reapers.
- Shepard can die or not, it's not the point, even if it's better if he lives (and have blue babies with liara).
- Also, the Normandy must stay on Earth, and not going on the other side of the galaxy.
- Finally, the Citadel and the mass relays CAN'T be destroyed, without them, Mass Effect is gone for thousand or millions of years. Were is the purpose to help all races to regain their homeword, if at the end, they are all stuck on Earth.

Link : www.youtube.com/watch

All changes :
- No "Star Child"
- Citadel and Mass Relays are untouched
- Shepard and his crew survives and are on Earth
- All reapers are dead
- All species can go home, no galactic "dark age"

Hope you'll enjoy.

Watching that gave me goosebumps....the same kind I got during the ending of ME2. Well done, and better than what BioWare managed that's for sure.

Nah, you're not jaded...it just happens to be the case in this case. Image IPB

I think some of the fan created ends have more heart because we're fans and we care about the stories and the characters. If we didn't then there wouldn't be this fiasco over the games closing moments.

It's very intriguing how so many people assume the retake movement wants massive changes to ME3, when something as simple and stripped down as this would satisfy the majority of people.

Wish to have some feedbacks from Bioware about the video.

bioware will still ban you, because you did the endings better as they did !

@Horus - Very very nice. All it needs more is a written epilogue, hence my comment to egnit below, which is along the exact similar lines.

Love it. Thumbs up. I also cut my own ending together! Link down below!

By all that is holy. Now that is how it is done! Nice job, egnit!

Just saw your video. Imagining that ending did something for me that the original game ending did not: it left me with a sense of accomplishment -- whatever happened to my Shepard. Why couldn't we get this instead? I don't get it.

Seeing this video reminds me of what Mass Effect 3 could have been, and what we got instead. It still has the nonsensical superweapon killing all the Reapers at once, which is lame IMO, but anything is better than the crap we got with the Starchild.

Man i never saw this vid , altough its not perfect , its so much better then the
godchild bs.. that was awesome loved the music in it , big smile watching it
thanks for the link :D

Edit : To me this vid just proves ones again how much better and epic mass effect 3
ending would have been if we simple did not have the godchild at all , its not needed
this vid at least gave a good vibe and accomplishment. nice editing.

I'm so confused.

Sure, I'd like the ending to be longer, and have considerably more interaction, but.........

I've seen two fan made endings, and I just feel....... At peace.

If some fans can cut together something infinitely better that a group of 'artists', then that speaks volumes about what the writing team has become.

Thank you. OP and egnit.

Bravo OP. Very nicely done, and I completely agree with your music selection.

Your ending has what a proper ending should have - catharsis.

Well done.

Exactly. It's just heartbreaking to see a simple edit like this, which removes things about the current ending, brings more closure and makes more sense than the current one.

Was it so hard, Bioware?

That was well done. It's incomplete, of course - you don't have the ability to bring back the voice actors and animators for additional scenes, so it's not clear that the relays are intact, Shepard's alive, etc. But within the bounds of using existing material, it was very good - better than what we got. Thanks for sharing!

Man ... that´s ALL I had needed. If that would have been the ending, I wouldn´t have cared that we hadn´t more endings. After this a god epilogue with what happened to the universe, and all the problems of the last month hadn´t ever take place ...

That was seriously excellent. It's amazing how a few simple changes managed to remedy much of the problems of the original. Even with the relays gone, your decisions still make a huge impact in the end.

It's quickly to forget how much music adds to the epicness of things, you did great soundtrack choices imo.
This is a great video and really shows what could ME3 have been all about, i really felt goosebumps almost all through it, and the scene with Shep and Anderson was even more emotional thanks to the added music.
Thanks and kudos for you sir.
