Truth, this makes more sense without some HoloBrat giving nonsensical choices.

Hero dies, kills the bad guys, saves the galaxy. Mission Accomplished.

Extended ending? What we need is a fan cut!

Hi guys,

This is my first video concerning the Mass Effect 3 ending. I have no hope that Bioware make the ending that I want, so I've made my own.

Firstly my project was just a remake of the fleet arrival, with better music (Mass Effect 1 and 2), but I decided to
remake the entire ending. I added music, cut lots of sequences (bye bye Star Child), and cut some pieces (Mass Relays and Citadel are not destroyed in my version, because without them there is no more Mass Effect).

My vision of the ending :
- I agree with bioware about a large part of the ending, but in my opinion the "star child" have no reason to exist. The crucible and the sacrifice of thousands soldiers of each race is enough to stop the reapers.
- Shepard can die or not, it's not the point, even if it's better if he lives (and have blue babies with liara).
- Also, the Normandy must stay on Earth, and not going on the other side of the galaxy.
- Finally, the Citadel and the mass relays CAN'T be destroyed, without them, Mass Effect is gone for thousand or millions of years. Were is the purpose to help all races to regain their homeword, if at the end, they are all stuck on Earth.

Link : www.youtube.com/watch

All changes :
- No "Star Child"
- Citadel and Mass Relays are untouched
- Shepard and his crew survives and are on Earth
- All reapers are dead
- All species can go home, no galactic "dark age"

Hope you'll enjoy.

Watching that gave me goosebumps....the same kind I got during the ending of ME2. Well done, and better than what BioWare managed that's for sure.

This. Well done.

That was much better than what we had. Its pretty much my head canon but even so. It left enough for the future, let you decide if Shephard lived or died and defeated the reapers.

If I could figure out how to make this into a .bik file and replace the ones we have in the game folder I'd do it.

You know what?  It even leaves room for that "lots of specilation from everyone" they wanted.

If this was the end, I'd be happy to play again.

Very good. Especially considering what you had to work with. I'm Commander Byrdman, and this is my favorite ending using the available resources

Personally I don't like bittersweet endings but that closes ALOT of plot holes. Maybe on "Good" ending is that survivors find Anderson and Shepard and perform emergency treatment until the cavalry arrives.

I know a lot of people like the idea of Shepard being reunited with his crew, but even going into ME 3 I was convinced that it was the end for Shepard. I had accepted that he was going to have a heroic ending. I didn't get it, so I made my own finale, and I'll pretend that's how it ended.

Not bad at all.....only changes I would make:

-needs more crew member shots as the crucible opens....that was a really good choice to place them there...but the others need more love.
-Another alternate ending I've seen places anderson's death after the crucible fires. I like this both because it let's anderson see victory, and it also creates that bittersweet moment bioware wanted where you achieve victory...but Anderson represents the cost and sacrifice it required.

Make this the new ending...throw in the extended cut dlc onto it afterward for closure with the characters and it'll be great.

This is exactly how one of the endings should have been. It even leaves room for the so called 'lot's of speculation' from the player what could happen afterwards. However, imho you should've kept the original music. Not saying the other songs are bad or anything but the originals fit the scenes better. Nevertheless, very well done.

Love it.... I hope they learn from this. God child causes so much problems.

I don't know what they were smoking when they thought of the Spacebrat.

That was an awesome video. :)
I liked that the Citidel didn't get blown up and that the relays are still intact. Without these two things it's just not the same universe.
If Bioware keeps them as being blown up, even if there is a lazerus project recreate them by the surviving races for a ME4, it would be lame.

This is truly a much better version of the ending, bravo! if Bioware just did this and put in a little slide/cut scene about you and your team mates/LI maybe? I would have been no way near as disappointed with it!

So much better than the actual ending. I would be more happy with this, even if this was the ONLY ending.

I was thinking the same - they could just add some static slides at the end with a brief paragraph explaining what happened to each of your squad-mates, and the galaxy in general.  These would still have a lot of variety based on the choices you made throughout the series.

And Bioware could do all this for cheap!  Re-edit what they already produced, just as Horus has, and add some pictures and text?  If they'd been on the ball, they could have already finished this and announced it at Pax.  And, given what we've got right now, I expect we'd all be plenty happy!

This is the destroy ending minus TIM, Starchild, and the explosion of the relays. If you can imagine that, you've seen this.

Thumbs up!

It's amazing to me how removing the A.I kid doesn't hurt the ending but actually helps it. The other cool thing about this ending is that after the beam goes out and destroys the Reapers you can have a mega epilogue that shows you the aftermath of the Reaper war and also the consequences of your actions through the series. Destroying the mass relays was the biggest mistake that Bioware made with the original ending as it single handedly makes all of your decisions irrelevant. It's too bad that this wasn't the real ending.

Again, nice job! If the extended cut dlc doesn't satisfy me then I'll just fall back on this as the better ending to Shepard's story.

Other than it being male Shepard, I would have accepted that as an ending. I would have liked more memory scenes from other squad members than just Garrus, but overall I really enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing.

People need to be careful what they wish for. Whatever bioware is planning for the summer, im sure it would be much easier for them to just chop up the ending sequence and end the game at best seats in the house.
